Happy Thanksgiving

Heavenly Father, we thank you, for the many blessings, you bestow to us. By faith, we thank you Lord for touching hearts today. Someone is hurting, someone is alone, someone is struggling, someone is healing, someone is separated from their love ones, someone is lost, only you can touch hearts, to see past current circumstances and make a way, out of no way. By faith, we pray that this Thanksgiving be filled with love and thankfulness, regardless of where we are today. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.

Psalm 103, Praise for the Lord’s Mercies (NKJV)

A Psalm of David

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.
7 He made known His ways to Moses, his acts to the children of Israel.
8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
9 He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever.
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him.
14 For He knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children,
18 To such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them.
19 The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.
20 Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word.
21 Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure.
22 Bless the Lord, all His works, in all places of His dominion.
Bless the Lord, O my soul!

From my family to yours, have a safe and blessed Happy Thanksgiving! 😀

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Writing”

20131125-201050.jpg
Remember back in the day, when we wrote notes or letters and mailed them? Remember keeping a diary or journal, where you wrote every thought, feeling? We wrote about our joys, heartbreak, things and stuff! Ah, those were the days.  (wink)

20131125-201347.jpg

In the 21st century, we write letters–the email kind. Short hand text kind. Sometimes, I wonder just where would we be without today’s technology? Although, I do like having a portable way to jot my thoughts down on my phone!  (shock face)

Can you remember the last time, you actually penned a personal letter and mailed it?  (smile)

I love to write. Somewhere in a box, I have cards, notes and old letters that span over many years of things and stuff. Its been awhile, since I walked down memory lane with those timeless treasures and experiences. How about you? When was the last time, you walked down memory lane? Inquiring minds wanna know.  (wink)

We all have a story. No one can write it better then us.  (smile)

God bless you and have a great day!

Boundaries To Let Go

As we mature, there comes a time when we need boundaries, to know when, to let go and love from a distance. Adapting and adjusting to trials and tribulation, and things and/or stuff requires being spirit led with fruit of the spirit as mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23.

Possessing love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control) within us helps with trials and tribulations, and things and/or stuff.
20131124-211415.jpg

Trials and tribulations, things and/or stuff happens. The test is how we react to it. There will always be something or someone testing us. It’s all part of life, change and growth. Many times, we forget to breathe and focus to stay spiritually calm.  (wink)   The flesh man rises.

Flesh man rising is where a warning should register but nope, we proceed anyway. Sometimes, we forget that we can choose to let stuff go. Too many distractions, coupled with hunger, tiredness, etc, fuels the challenging moment. We’re human and we all have a breaking point.

Again, thank God for his mercy and grace! None of us are immune from stumbling! (shock face)   It’s all part of growing, maturing and producing more fruit within us.

Learning to let go frees us from thinking we have to do everything.  We don’t!

Learning to let go means putting it at the foot of the cross.  Let God!

Learning to let go keeps us with God’s peace. God is always in charge, regardless of what we see! Again, we must walk by faith trusting Romans 8-28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (smile)

God bless us, by faith, as we let go of unnecessary stuff blocking our spiritual growth. Let thy will be done.

Courage

It takes courage to be who we are and do what we do. Keep the faith and be encouraged to continue being you! 😜 The more comfortable we are with ourselves, our courage grows and gets stronger! 😀

20131123-233954.jpg

Let’s face it, there will always be different spirits around us. Have the courage to be the light in the darkness! Dark spirits run from the light!

We get to choose how to respond to spirits around us. Every opportunity is a chance, by faith, to show our kindness and loving nature. Faith it, until we make it!

Thank God for his mercy and grace!

Scriptures about courage:
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Psalm 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.

Isaiah 41:6 They helped every one his neighbor; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage.

Examples of courage in the Bible:
Manifested:
Among enemies – Ezra 5:11
In battle – 1 Samuel 17:46
Against great foes – Judges 7:7-23
Against great odds – 1 Samuel 17:32, 50
When threatened Daniel – 3:16-18
When intimidated Daniel – 6:10
When facing death – Judges 16:28
In youth – 1 Samuel 14:6-45
In old age – Joshua 14:10-12
Before a king – Esther – 4:8, 16
In moral crises – Nehemiah 13:1-31
In preaching Christ – Acts 3:12-26
