Sharing life through the Word of God with love, encouragement and faith in challenging times (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Expectations”

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
~ Psalm 62:5-8~

Hello friends (smile) No acrostic this week because I could not find a good word for X beside xerox. (shock face) There were many thoughts in my head about expectations, disappointments and constantly adapting to X, Y and Z.

My thoughts were all over the place, so I spent the last few days playing games and meditating in the Book of Psalms as I prayed for family, friends and enemies.

I see expectations right up there with my faith in God. My daily expectation is faith and to draw my strength from above, as I continue to renew my mind that all good things come from above and continue to walk through as God’s will be done. (smile)

Blessings, my friends and keep the faith! (smile)

Funny about not being able to make an acrostic with X. Haha! That reminded me of my address book and of how the letter X has only about 2 address/ph nbrs written in that tab. So I decided to write my “roll over” addresses into those X pages and make use of ’em that way.

Thanks for the verses, which I definitely needed to read today! Usually only verses 6 and 7 are mentioned. Thanks for including verse 5 “for my expectation is from Him”. I am currently praying for a job, as my schooling is finished. Would appreciate your including me too in your prayers today. Thanks a bunch!

p.s. Love that you mentioned that you pray for your enemies too. Guess we all grit our teeth when doing that and don’t usually mention it because it’s painful just to even SAY that we HAVE to pray for them (haha!). So it was refreshing and funny to read that part of your post. :oD
