Counting Our Blessings

When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.
~ Willie Nelson ~

Hello friends. (smile) Today, let us be thankful and count our blessings.

It’s truly a beautiful thing to behold all that blesses our life.

IMG_0686.JPG
Focus on the blessings in our life.

It reinforces that God loves and provides for us.

For my little worry-warts, keep the faith, and remember, Jeremiah 32:27, Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

Blessings, my friends, as we count our blessings today! (smile)

Boundaries To Let Go

It’s a beautiful thing when we exercise boundaries. (wink) Life gets a whole lot easier! Wahoo!

Praise The Lord because the joy of The Lord is my strength at this very moment. Friends, blessings as you enjoy your weekend.

I’ve got a special date with my Lord and Savior, Jesus. (wink)

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

As we mature, there comes a time when we need boundaries, to know when, to let go and love from a distance. Adapting and adjusting to trials and tribulation, and things and/or stuff requires being spirit led with fruit of the spirit as mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23.

Possessing love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control) within us helps with trials and tribulations, and things and/or stuff.
20131124-211415.jpg

Trials and tribulations, things and/or stuff happens. The test is how we react to it. There will always be something or someone testing us. It’s all part of life, change and growth. Many times, we forget to breathe and focus to stay spiritually calm.  (wink)   The flesh man rises.

Flesh man rising is where a warning should register but nope, we proceed anyway. Sometimes, we…

He will never leave me nor forsake me and the joy of The Lord is my strength!

Oh, to be loved, by God, is a beautiful thing!

Praise God for blessing us with what we need!  (smile)

Trust

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
~ Psalms 118:8 ~

And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
~ Luke 18:27 ~

Hello friends. (smile) To have faith and trust in The Lord is a beautiful thing. Trust.

Once upon a time, I had trust issues with everything and everyone, until I learned to put my trust in God, through His Son, Jesus. Trust.

Broken trust can devastate anyone. Having faith to trustGod because there is nothing nor anyone bigger than Him brings comfort. Trust.

Roll With It Wednesday

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
~ Philippians 4:19 ~

Live in such a way that you would not be ashamed to sell your parrot to the town gossip. ~Will Rogers~

Hello friends. (smile) It’s roll with it Wednesday with a little humor. (wink) My message is short and sweet today. (smile) Roll with it!

Roll with it is similar to careless and letting it go. (smile)

IMG_0684.JPG
By faith, God has equipped us for everything we need to crawl, walk or run through this day. Roll with it!

Have faith, He will give wisdom with the right words needed for that big meeting.
Have faith, He will give courage to speak up.
Have faith, He will open a door to new opportunities.
Have faith, He will work all things out.
Have faith, He will _________________ (fill in the blank)

Say it with me, roll with it! (smile)

Today, I have to stand and mediate on Philippians 4:19 as I roll with it. My dental work resumes this afternoon. (shock face) Bottom teeth this round.

Praise The Lord, He delivered me from fear of the dentist. I just have angst over those needles! Ugh. Roll with it!

Please join me, in prayer agreement, by faith that God will provide calmness to endure the needles. (nervous smile) I humbly thank you in advance! Praise The Lord.

Blessings my friends, by faith, as we roll with it today! (big smile)

Understanding

Understanding is knowing things in their right relationship.
~Dictionary definition ~

Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
~ Proverbs 4:5-7 ~

Hello friends (smile) With wisdom comes understanding. My testing and retesting, of growth opportunities, has the fruit of patience within me multiplying exponentially. (nervous smile)

Today, I refused to be baited with idle words. Although I had to boldly talk loud a few times. Understanding and thanking God for His mercy and His grace!

This was another day to careless and leave the circus smiling. (wink)

IMG_0673.JPG
Understanding anything can be different for each of us.
Understanding that not everyone has experienced the same things in life.
Understanding that there is more than one way to accomplish something.
Understanding that there is uniqueness to each of us and in the way we communicate.

Understanding life does go on whether we change or not.

Careless and Have Faith

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
~ 1 Peter 5:6-9 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Careless. I am using careless from a carefree aspect; not as anything negative. The Word of God says to cast our cares upon Him. Hmmm, careless!

To truly enjoy life, even with the ebbs and flows, we can learn to careless by casting everything to God. Say it with me, I could careless. I put ___________ at the foot of the cross. (smile)

IMG_0654.JPG
Having a careless attitude can keep us from angst. When those pesky thoughts come, I just say I careless if I’m late. I careless if my shoes don’t match! I careless what they say about me. Careless!

It’s a beautiful thing to careless, by casting pesky, annoying thoughts to God and walk by faith, trusting and believing in Him. Remember, those uncomfortable challenges will be growth moments. Sometimes, it is, what it is! (shock face) Careless!

Keep the faith. Faith is speaking those things as if they are. By faith, I ______________fill in the blank. By faith, my work place environment is getting better.

Each day is an opportunity to change something. Changing thought patterns is a nice start to careless. (smile)

By faith and grace, I walked through today with a careless attitude. (smile) It inspired me to share this with you.

Blessings, my friends, careless and keep the faith! (smile)

Appreciate

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
~1 Thessalonians 5:18 ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Praise The Lord, my smile and sense of humor is back. (wink) My faith and trust in God gives me strength and courage each day to share what He pours into my heart.

I give a heartfelt thank you and abundant blessings to online and offline friends, for your prayers and encouragement during my challenges last week. {{hugs}}

I appreciate your thoughtfulness more than you could possibly know. By faith, I know God will bless each of you, in a mighty way, for your part in praying and encouraging the encourager. (smile)

IMG_0725.JPG
Sometimes, we forget to appreciate the little things.
Sometimes, we forget to appreciate the blessings that challenges bring.
Sometimes, we forget to appreciate that tears can be a blessing.

It’s a beautiful thing to bless others when we are hurting. I’ve been emotionally drained for a few weeks. By faith and God’s grace, I kept moving forward.

My emotions has been like a roller coaster ride since I got that ticket a few weeks back and realized the ticket was the blessings. (shock face)

The weight of God’s protection while I was unaware that I was driving on dry rotted tires, the sickness and pain that friends are going through; the death of friend; the challenges in my work environment, Friday night, I cried and prayed. I gave all that was hurting within my heart to God.

Praise God! He ministered and watered all the love and encouragement sown from you to me that I have a new appreciation of sharing my faith walk with others and ask for help when needed. To God be the glory!

Appreciate being different.
Appreciate those unexpected kind words.
Appreciate prayers.
Appreciate people’s time.
Appreciate smiling for no apparent reason.
Appreciate what we have.
Appreciate those who care.
Appreciate the ebbs and flows moments.
Appreciate (fill in the blank)______________.
Appreciate that God is still in charge and can work all things out.

So today, my friends, blessings as we appreciate each other and the things we share with one another. (smile)

Risk

When motives are pure and our words are from the heart, blessing others is the blessing!
~Ann Friend ~

Thank you all for being a friend! {{hugs}}

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

Wahoo, TGIF, my friends (smile) This quote spoke to me! It represents taking chances or another way, to look at this, would be faith. Life happens, regardless of our status in life. (shock face)

I will mention it again, we all bring something to the table. Welcome to my table (smile)

Today, I’m serving up faith and encouragement. It takes courage to be different. It takes courage not to follow the crowd. It takes courage to come here everyday and share parts of life, sometimes with no feedback. It takes courage to ignore less than kind remarks. My friends, that’s faith, doing it anyway, day after day. (smile)

Many search the internet for various things and stuff. Keep writing, keep posting. Our words will always be there. God gives free will to choose. When ready, eyes are open to the very message needed to be seen! (smile)

Hang In There

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
~ Deuteronomy 31:6 ~

The best way to appreciate your job is to imagine yourself without one. ~ Oscar Wilde ~

Hello friends. (smile) Again, I thank God for friends who take the time to echo back encouragement. I pray God bless you in a mighty way.

IMG_0775.JPG
Sometimes, we’re suppose to ask for help.

Tuesday, I was about to quit my job! Just get my stuff and walk. (shock face)

We have free will to choose. Sometimes, when we allow the flesh to reign, even for a minute, the spirit side just waits us out. Singing, my theme song–going around the mountain, one more time. Ugh!

God led me to a friend who said hang in there. Don’t quit. God bless Him.

Little did I know that God would water those very words back to me days later.

The beautiful thing about having a personal and intimate relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus, is that He knows there are times we get frustrated or fill in the blank____________. We can tell Him everything. It is not a one sided relationship.

I love that He allows me to work my way back to Him when I get tired of that mountain. God knows, I’ll always return back to my spiritual nature and Him. This is what growing is all about. Knowing apart from Him, we can do nothing. Hang in there.

By faith, I have more spiritual fruit. Thank you Lord. Hang in there.

Again, another validation of Roman’s 8:28 that ups and downs bring balance and produces more spiritual fruit. All things! Hang in there.

God knows exactly what’s needed to get us where we need to be. Can I get an Amen! Hang in there.

Yesterday, the hits just kept on coming. Before, I could entertained any negative thought, God watered hang in there, don’t quit. I smiled as I remembered those words sown Tuesday. Glory to God!

Quitting is no longer an option. I do need to verbalized the inner thoughts that are wrecking havoc in my mind. Hang in there.

Sowing encouragement goes a long way to help one another when we are walking through. Even if we have to crawl. Hang in there.

I’ve been emotionally drained lately. Yesterday, I crawled, my way, through the brutal day with words from encouraging friends and the grace of God. Hang in there.

Thank you, friends, I was able to smile at the end of yesterday. Thank you Jesus!

I see my work challenges as training to produce more fruit within me and to ask for help when I need it. Hang in there.

I encourage anyone with work challenges to see it as a training opportunity that is developing more spiritual fruit. Hang in there.

I share all this because at the end of the day, by faith, life does go on. Hang in there.

Today, by faith, we’re armed with the full armor of God, our slingshot and a smile. The plan is to light up the joint with the joy of The Lord as our strength.

Blessings, my friends and keep the faith to hang in there. 😜

Be Kind to Yourself

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~Romans 8:28~

Hello friends. Thank God for His mercy and His grace. Thank you Lord.

My patience is still being tested. (shock face)   Trying to keep the faith!

Things and stuff. Ugh! X and Y challenges.

IMG_0738.JPG
Thank God for His mercy and His grace.

Sometimes, we’re tested from all sides that we can literally blink and get more frustrated or entertain a wrong thought that brings tears for no reason.

Be kind to ourself, in those moments, because, at the end, of the day, we survived and life goes on! Praise The Lord!

Being kind to ourself, when we are walking through or even when we stumble brings comfort that we are still blessed and God still loves us. Thank you Lord!

I thank God for friends. I thank God for those who pray for me. I thank God for the things and stuff producing more spiritual fruit in my life. Something else to do! Ain’t life grand! (wink)

Learning to change our perspective and take the day, moment by moment, can truly help.

Having faith that God can work all things out is wisdom enough to be kind to ourself because if The Lord says the same, there will be tomorrow!

Blessings, my friends,  as we keep the faith and be kind to ourself and sleep well tonight!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, A Time For Everything

Blessings as we keep the faith!

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

What a perfect illustration to Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

As long as we live, we will experience seasons in our life. (shock face) Seasons to make us grow, mature, all in all, change. Remember 🎶🎶going around the mountain, one more time.🎶🎶 (wink)

We must keep our sense of humor because some seasons can be tough. Learning to live, by faith, and adjusting to stuff can make some seasons bearable. Sometimes, we have to get out of our own way. (nervous smile)

Being able to share with each other, through seasons, is a blessing. Having family and friends is a blessing. Casting cares to our Heavenly Father is a blessing. Faith is a blessing. Learning to look, at seasons, from a different perspective, is a blessing. (smile) Thank…

Always Pray

Thank you for your prayers. Let us keep our faith and trust in God during the misdirection of information, building of angst and testing of our faith.

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

Another prayer to use as we grow to love like Jesus does. Let us remember growth is a life long process. Sometimes we stumble and are not loving, yet God continues to love us anyway. Maybe, when we can all love as Jesus loves….oh, the possibilities!

20130527-193635.jpg

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NKJV) – Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails.

God bless you!

Please Pray With Me

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
~ Matthew 18:19 ~

Hello friends. Please join me in prayer for my beautiful and dear friend LTC Tomas DeLeon, his loving wife, and his son and daughter. Tomas has a cancerous tumor on his brain.

God bless each of you adding your pray petition to mine, lifting LTC Tomas DeLeon and his family up in prayer.

Patience

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
~ James 1:4 ~

Hello friends. (smile) I believe next to long-suffering, patience is the fruit tested the most. (shock face)

Long lines. Traffic. Fill in the blank ____________. Waiting. They all test our patience.

IMG_0733.JPG
I believe there will always be retesting of our patience.

This week has been a little brutal on my patience. My energy level has been drained too!

I thanked God and left things at the foot of the cross. Patience. Got to love spiritual fruit. (wink)

How’s your patience level? (smile)

Ever feel like there is something in the air and things and stuff just keeps on coming? Patience.

Well friends, I need to reset, for a couple of days, and recharge my energy level. Too many withdrawals from my fun meter. (shock face)

Be blessed, have patience and keep the faith! Feel free to browse the website for earlier posts. (smile)

Hope

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
~ Proverbs 13:12 ~

What gives me the most hope every day is God’s grace; knowing that his grace is going to give me the strength for whatever I face, knowing that nothing is a surprise to God.
~ Rick Warren ~

Hello friends. I believe hope is precious to maintain in life. I believe faith and hope go together. I believe when hope is taken away, it can crush a spirit leaving despair.

I believe there people around us are losing hope and need prayer and encouragement to see the love and grace of God in life.

IMG_0764.JPG
I believe God continues to grow us spiritually, to be the light, for those who don’t know Him to illustrate hope.

My heart is heavy for friends, who are ill and fighting to keep their faith. A coworker’s loss of her husband. Those, who are suffering in silence and fearful to ask for help.

Sometimes, we take things and people in our life for granted. It is my faith, hope and prayer that God helps each of us extend hope to anyone He puts in our path.

Give

Life is beautiful because it is a controlled yet chaotic dance of ups and downs where we are blessed with the ability to sense those pains and pleasures equally.
~ Suman Rai ~

Hello friends. (smile) Blessings, in life, can come in so many forms. Give. Sow. What we give out comes back to us. It’s reaping and sowing with a twist. (smile)

Everyday, there are opportunities to give, our time, a kind word, encouragement, love, a hug, a specific prayer, a smile or fill in the blank____________________, to those around us.

It’s the little things that truly show others that we care and they are not alone. Give brings balance.

We all bring something to the table. God blessed me with the gift of encouragement. Thank you Lord! It’s what I do. (wink)

IMG_0664.JPG
God gets the glory every time He pours words of encouragement into my heart to share with someone.

Do you know your gift?

I can honestly tell you, I did not know my gift was encouragement until I started blogging! (shock face)

As God walks us through things and stuff and challenging moments with X, Y or Z, He is expanding and perfecting our gift within us. Pfft, as we grow, the gift becomes a natural part of who we are. (smile)

Everywhere, we go, are opportunities to give something to others. Smiling, is one of the most beautiful things we can give to others. (smile)

Times are tough and to give, of ourself, can be a blessings that shows someone God loves them! (smile)

Blessings, my friends, as we give to someone today. (smile)

Matthew 7:24-29, The Two Foundations

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
~ Galatians 5:22-23 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Rock or sand. Milk or meat. Spirit or flesh. Knowing The Word or doing The Word.

Choices. Free will to choose. Foundations. A relationship with God.

IMG_0715.JPG
Spiritual fruit and obedience are necessary to build a solid foundation to weather changes and or storms in life.

Spiritual strength and faith grows every single time when God walks us through things and stuff and X, Y and Z moments.

As spiritual fruit grows from within, there is such peace and freedom, that wherever we go, the presence of God is evident and His light shines. It’s a beautiful thing to behold. (smile)

It’s a beautiful thing when God builds the house.

It’s a beautiful thing to recognize our inner strength comes from Him.

It’s a beautiful thing to know who you are in Christ.

It’s a beautiful thing when we can see disappointments as God redirecting us to something better.

It’s a beautiful thing to adapt and adjust because God walked us through better than we were before.

It’s a beautiful thing to renew our mind and speak to the lies the enemy likes to replay.

Life will have ebbs and flow. Nothing and no one is perfect, except Jesus.

Recognize God equips us to weather and walk through anything because our faith and trust is in Him.

Blessings, my friends, as we recognize our house is built upon a rock. Praise The Lord! (smile)

IWSG Keep The Faith

Hello friends. (smile) Sometimes, too much negativity can drain you. (shock face)

Negativity breeds negativity.

Sure, there are times, when we don’t focus and hear something negative and bam, we walk away speaking or thinking negative thoughts. Ugh. Cast that stuff, it’s draining.

I am still building my confidence and courage with blogging. (smile) I just keep moving forward and I encourage you to do the same. (smile)

I am learning to block out all the coulda, woulda and shoulda. It gains us nothing to second guess ourself.

IMG_0481.JPG
Write or blog, the things that you know and create and the rest is irrelevant. Someone will like it. Keep the faith. (smile)

Please don’t feed the negativity! Remember, not my circus, not my monkeys! Humor, my friends, never lose our sense of humor. (wink)

Blessings as we believe in ourself and keep the faith! (smile)

I Can

I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.
~ Philippians 4:13 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Motivation and encouragement goes a long way when we believe we can.

Today, have faith and believe I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.

20140805-042624-15984427.jpg
For my little worry-warts, have faith and confidence with your imaginary slingshot, the full armour and power of God behind you to walk through this day believing I can. (smile)

Blessings, my friends, as we speak, by faith, I can throughout this day! (smile)

A New Season

When you are older you will understand how precious little things, seemingly of no value in themselves, can be loved and prized above all price when they convey the love and thoughtfulness of a good heart.
~ Edwin Booth ~

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
~ Philippians 4:8 ~

Hello friends. (smile) It’s a beautiful thing to recognize the blessings in our life. It’s a beautiful thing to wake up and realize you’re in a new season.

It’s a beautiful thing to participate in the accomplishments of others in our life. (smile)

Promotion. Retirement. Birth of a child. New job. New relationship. Fill in the blank_________________. It’s the little things that touch the heart.

Accomplishments bring a new season. A new season of possibilities. A season of more faith.

At the end of a hectic week, I realized that I am walking into a new season. Praise The Lord!

Spending time thanking God for all that He has done, is doing and will do in our life draws Him closer and is heartfelt praise.

20140803-153406-56046316.jpg
Friends, I have come full circle in my faith and trust in God. I share this because there were times, I struggled to keep the faith. (shock face) Sometimes, we need to keep our hopes and dreams between ourself and God. (nervous smile)

Sometimes, we have to keep the faith, in spite of others speaking against the very thing that we are standing on faith for God to manifest. I believe, they mean well and speak from their own lack of faith experiences.

I encourage you to put anything not of faith at the foot of the cross. I encourage you to build your faith and trust in God.

To walk by faith, there is no doubt. To walk by faith, there is no what if. To walk by faith, is to trust God, believing our faith is aligned with His will for our life.

Walking through new seasons can be daunting, when we give thoughts to doubt and unbelief. This is where renewing the mind, and thinking on Philippians 4:8, helps to know that there is nothing negative about good things from above and remind us of all the other blessings God walked us through. (smile) He is worthy to be praised.

Blessings as we keep the faith and walk through our new season, trusting God to lead us step by step and to think on the positive aspects of our life. Glory to God! (smile)

Roll With It Friday

We are so often caught up in our destination that we forget to appreciate the journey, especially the goodness of the people we meet on the way. Appreciation is a wonderful feeling, don’t overlook it. ~ Author Unknown ~

Hello friends. (smile) Today is a good day to roll with it. Thank God, we survived the week!

Appreciate living.
Appreciate all the good things in life.
Appreciate all those who help us keep moving forward.
Appreciate those who help us grow.
Appreciate those who pray for us.

I appreciate you! (smile)

For my little worry-warts, have faith. Roll with it!

20140731-223956-81596956.jpg
Anything negative from the past, to include yesterday, let it go, it is, what it is. Roll with it!

Remember the sound bite, not my circus, not my monkeys. That’s rolling with it, with a smile! (wink)

Release anything and everything to God. He will help us through it. Roll with it!

Have faith and speak to that mountain. Roll with it!
Have faith, using our imaginary slingshot, with the full armour of God to defeat Goliath. Yup, Roll with it! (smile)

Friends, learning to appreciate Romans 8:28, as we focus and appreciate God’s mercy and grace, in the ebbs and flow, of our journey brings freedom to live trusting His will for our life. Roll with it!

To be honest, somedays may bite. (shock face) Praise Him anyway and roll with it! (smile)

Blessings as we keep the faith and appreciate the positive things and people in our life. Enjoy your roll with it day! (smile)
