Strength From Within

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
~ Jeremiah 17:7-8 ~

I’m thankful for my struggle because without it, I wouldn’t have stumbled across my strength.
~ Unknown Author ~

Hello friends. (smile) Strength grows every time we walk through struggles. It’s a beautiful thing to have inner strength that comes from above. Praise The Lord!

We are powerful vessels when we draw our strength from above.

IMG_0795
This is strength that can’t be taken away.

This is strength that can’t succumb to fear or doubt.

This is strength that says “I serve an all powerful God, bring it!”

It’s a powerful testimony to show strength through things and stuff and those Y moments. We never know who is watching. People are drawn to strength. To God be the glory.

Blessings, friends, every single time, we remember to trust God and keep the faith, our strength grows as He walks us through. I’m a witness. (smile)

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

They

I don’t have to attend every argument I’m invited to.
~ Author Unknown ~

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
~ John 16:33 ~

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
~ James 1:2-3

Hello friends. (smile) I’ve been adapting and adjusting at the circus. Thank God for His mercy and His grace. (grin)

It has been exhausting. It has been painful. It has been humbling. “They”.

IMG_0793
They like telling us our faults. They like pushing buttons to wear us out. They like projecting their issues onto us.

Sometimes, they think we are “they“.

They contribute to our growth. They will lead us to prayer.

God can use “they” to make us stronger in trusting and leaning on Him.

Praise The Lord, for the blessing, when “they” contribute to drawing us closer to God by praying our way through. (smile)

Blessings! (smile)

It’s What I Do

I get by with a little help from my friends.
~ John Lennon ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) I hope all is well in your world. I appreciate and thank those friends, who left heartfelt encouraging words as I prayed through my stuff. {{hugs}}

Praise The Lord that I’m back with a new vigor to continue blogging. It’s what I do.

Praise The Lord that His mercy and His grace will lead me to adapt and adjust to rhetoric.

2015/01/img_0789.jpg
Praise The Lord that His love and faith will help me be the light at the circus. (wink)

The power of prayer and encouragement is a beautiful thing to receive when stuff comes and things get overwhelming.

The Lord reminded me that our gifts and talents within us help others when we share our experiences.

Understanding the will of God, for our life, is crucial. I wanted to quit but God had other plans. I give glory to God when I do what I do. (wink)

Friends, I encourage you to do what you do. God made us different for a reason. (smile)

It’s remembering all the times, He walked us through.

It’s remembering everyone has opinions and comments.

It’s remembering who we are in Christ.

It’s remembering to hashtag # careless anything that weighs us down.

It’s remembering at the end of the day, life does and will go on, in spite of stuff.

Praise The Lord.

Blessings, my friends, as we keep the faith and do what we do! (smile)

By the way, I’ll be catching up on all your posts that I missed this weekend. (smile)

Away from Blog

Hello friends. (smile) I hope all is well in your world. All is well in my world, I just find myself in a weird place these days.

Sometimes, I think about quitting blogging.

2015/01/img_0790.jpg
Sometimes, I get tired of rhetoric.
Lately, I’m entertaining retirement from the circus.

I’m praying my way through.

Blessings until we meet here again. (smile)

Encouragement From Within

When nobody else celebrates you, learn to celebrate yourself. When nobody else compliments you, then compliment yourself. It’s not up to other people to keep you encouraged, it’s up to you. Encouragement should come from the inside.
~ Author Unknown ~

Hello friends. (smile) There will be times when we’ll have to encourage ourself.

I believe seven of the most powerful words, in scripture, is “I can do all things through Christ”. All things. How’s that for encouraging ourself. Praise The Lord! (smile)

2015/01/img_0785.jpg
The ability to encourage ourself is powerful because it builds confidence and courage within us. It strengthens us spiritually and deepens our self worth.

The power of “I can” is positive and up lifting. Heck, it helped me out of bed today. (grin) Praise The Lord.

Sometimes, we have to have faith when we pray and speak encouraging words to situations and decisions .

Be our own cheerleader to encourage and motivate ourself forward.

No doubts. No worries. Faith. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Blessings, my friends, as we encourage ourself, by faith, with “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”. (smile)

Know Your Worth

Self confidence is the most attractive quality a person can have. How can anyone see how awesome you are if you can’t see it yourself?
~ Unknown Author ~

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
~ Psalm 139:14 ~

Hello friends. (smile) How are you? I was under the weather. Medicated, slept and drank plenty of fluids. All is well in my world again. Praise The Lord. (smile)

My encouragement today is to know your worth. For my little worrywarts, know it by faith. (smile)

Self worth cannot be found in material things, work, or other people. When we know that we are loved by and a child of God, self worth and confidence grows. I’m a witness. (smile)

Love is a powerful thing. A personal relationship with God, through His son Jesus Christ, is a beautiful thing to experience and behold because His love grows from within and never fails to sustain.

2015/01/img_0783.jpg
To love others, as we love ourself, becomes easier by having a personal relationship with God.

As He changes us from the inside out, we begin to know who we are in Christ and the source of our self worth. Praise The Lord.

The Word of God is powerful to know, for ourself, because it becomes a lifestyle, builds faith and character, as it sets us apart, as children of God.

When we know our worth, we don’t settle for less than God’s best.

When we know our worth, we can hashtag# careless because we know who we are in Christ.

When we know our worth, we can express ourself freely without tearing someone down or competing with anyone.

When we know our worth, we recognize opinions as information to receive or reject with love.

When we know our worth, there is nothing to prove to anyone, our confidence shows.

When we know our worth, we know that nothing nor anyone is perfect. Thank God for His mercy and His grace when we stumble and make mistakes.

When we know our worth, we can let stuff go and believe all things are possible.

Blessings, my friends, as we know our worth, by thanking God, with confidence because His Word says that we’re fearfully and wonderfully made. (smile)

IWSG Giving It No Power

2015/01/img_0340-2.jpg
Listen to life, it is the wisest teacher of all.
~ Author Unknown ~

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
~ Hebrews 4:16 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Giving it no power is the encouragement today and boldly obtaining God’s mercy and grace for the it moments.

It can be anything. Drama. Negativity. Critical opinions. Angst. Fill in the blank __________________.

I realized why I keep failing my retest. (shock face) Do tell, I sense someone thinking. (smile)

I keep failing because I have more its than I realized! (shock face) Thank God for His mercy and His grace.

2015/01/img_0779.jpg
The funny thing about it, is that, it’s usually a past incident that we never fully released or forgiven; and anything or anyone can trigger the memory. Those pesky thoughts.

Let’s stop giving it power. Take a pause to breathe before reacting. Do anything, just don’t give it power.

Growth and maturity is a beautiful thing once we understand that all things and everyone contribute to victory over it. Ain’t life grand. (smile)

We give it too much power to drain our energy.

Entertaining it drains energy.

Retelling it multiple times drains energy.

Forgive it. Forgive ourself and let it go.

Blessings, my friends, by faith, as we stop giving it power. (smile)

I’ve Got Nothing

Hello friends. (smile) How was your day?

Snow. Challenging day. Distractions. No lunch. Too many thoughts. Another failed test. These were just some of the things I crawled through today.

Praise The Lord for friends, who encourage and help us release the angst. Thank you!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2015/01/img_0589.jpg
I’ve got nothing specific today. (shock face)

Thank God for His mercy and His grace. It’s the end of the day and I’m still standing, just a bit tired. Ugh, it’s only Tuesday….

Blessings, as you sleep well tonight! (smile) By faith, meet you back here sometime tomorrow, if The Lord says the same.

Be The Reason

Everyone smiles in the same language.
~ Author Unknown ~

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
~ Matthew 5:9 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Sometimes, the power of a genuine smile changes things.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2015/01/img_0494.jpg
Abundant blessings, my friends, as we have a good day, by faith! (smile)

Life

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
~ John 10:9-11 ~

Life lives, life dies. Life laughs, life cries. Life gives up and life tries. But life looks different through everyone’s eyes.
Author Unknown

Hello friends. (smile) Sorry, I’m late in posting today. Took some extra time enjoying my clean house and staying unplugged. I had a great day reflecting! Praise The Lord.

How about you, how was your day? Anything, you, want to share? (smile)

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2015/01/img_0777.jpg
Sometimes, to sit and reflect on life, where we were versus where we are now can be an interesting walk down memory lane. Sometimes, to remember the struggles and how God walked us through warms the heart and a shout out “Thank you, Lord.”

It’s a beautiful thing to share our life experiences because as the quote above says “life looks different through everyone’s eyes”. I thank God for the courage to share my life experiences that, by faith, can help someone. (smile)

God is light. God is love. There is nothing dark about Him. No one or nothing is more powerful than Him. Here’s wisdom, thoughts of a negative nature, anger, doubt are not of God. Must have faith.

I see living an abundant life as peace and contentment because we make better choices by picking up our cross and following Him. He also provides for all our needs.

It’s about faith and asking with a right motive.

Friends, my encouragement today is to stand on faith and trust that we are where God wants us to be until He manifests our next step.

Abundant blessings and sleep well tonight!

As always, your thoughts are welcome. (smile)

It

A friend is someone who knows you as you are, understands where you’ve been, accepts what you’ve become and still gently invites you to grow.
~ Author Unknown ~

Hello friends. (smile) I’m serving up a little humor today about one of my “its.” Remember, “it” will be different for each of us. One of my “its” is procrastination about chores. Ugh.

I stepped out of my comfort zone today and it rained because a friend and I cleaned my house. Praise The Lord! Thanks Cinderella!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2015/01/img_0773.jpg
The queen of procrastination surrendered to discipline and did it. Top to bottom of my own free will. Sometimes, we can run from the stuff that isn’t interesting to do or find every excuse to procrastinate.

Today, Every chore was touched, except laundry. Maybe tomorrow. (wink)

To be honest, I usually say “maybe tomorrow” and it gets done whenever. I share all of this because God has been using family and friends to change my mind set about chores. Thank you, Lord. He gave them wisdom to encourage instead of harp and push. (smile)

Today, there was no game playing. No TV. I was unplugged to do chores. We did get lunch. (smile) Gotta eat!

At times, God leads the last person we would expect to nudge us forward. So there was growth in completing chores! (smile) Praise The Lord and Cinderella’s obedience.

Abundant blessings, my friends, as we continue to grow in our “it” area. Sleep well tonight!

Feel free to share your “it.” (smile)

Contentment While Waiting

This post was originally published on 2 January 2015 and updated on 6 December 2018.

Once we discover how to appreciate the timeless values in our daily experiences, we can enjoy the best things in life.
~ Harry Hepner ~

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
~ Philippians 4:10-12 ~

Hello everyone, hope all is well. Contentment is a good habit to acquire. To be content while waiting is endurance. It’s even more powerful, to do, by faith.
/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2015/01/img_0770.jpg
A season, of anything, can be challenging. Waiting can be brutal. Here’s the beautiful thing, seasons are temporary and waiting builds patience.

That thing, that stuff or that Y is temporary. Until it serves its purpose, it will be around . Keep in mind, it will be different for everyone. Similar, yet different.

Have faith. Be content. Have patience. Have self-discipline. Got fruit? (wink)

The ability to find contentment comes when the focus is on God and the blessings that He provides.

The ability to find contentment comes when we realize it is, what it is. Adapt and adjust by casting your cares, to the Lord, can work wonders.

It’s liberating to free the mind from angst that amounts to nothing. Put “it” at the foot of the cross and be content until we can walk through it. Keep the faith.

We may still fail a test moment; praise God for His mercy and His grace because at the end, of the day, we’re still standing!

Abundant blessings, my friends, as we acquire the habit of contentment, by faith, while waiting for our break through. Praise The Lord!

Your thoughts or comments are always welcome.

Happy New Year

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
~ Romans 8:28-29 ~

A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him or her.
~ David Brinkley ~

Happy New Year, my friends. (smile) This is my fifth time participating in BlogHer’s National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo).

I have yet to complete a whole month. (shock face) That changes today. (smile)

The Lord renewed my confidence and courage, to come here and write, by reminding me that I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me. Thank you, Lord.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2015/01/img_0769-0.jpg
So I share this same blessing with you. Be you, because you can do all things through Christ…. and only you can tell your story.

The theme for January’s NaBloPoMo is Habit. Oh the fun we can have with habits. (wink)

Stay tuned, it going to be interesting and encouraging!

I stopped making New Years resolutions years ago. It caused too much angst when I failed.

Here are some things I learned about failures:

Sometimes God has something better.

Sometimes, failure launches us toward our destiny.

Sometimes, failure is God’s will for that season because our motive is wrong.

Sometimes failure brings maturity and spiritual growth.

Sometimes, failure makes us humble.

Sometimes, faith is born out of failure.

Life is about sharing to help and encourage one another. It’s what The Lord leads me to do.

I’m just a humble vessel giving glory to my Lord and Saviour through obedience. Thank you Lord.

So friends, let’s have faith that 2015 is the year that God will bless us abundantly using all things to get us where we need to be! Praise The Lord. (smile)

As always, feel free to share your thoughts. (smile)
