Faith To Silence…Psst

This post was originally published on 30 July, 2015 and updated 1 Dec 2018.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
~ Proverbs 18:21 ~

Forgive yourself first. Release the need to replay a negative situation over and over again in your mind. Don’t become a hostage to your past by always reviewing and reliving your mistakes. Don’t remind yourself of what should have, could have or would have been. Release it and let it go. Move on.
~ Les Brown ~

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
~ Philippians 4:8 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well. Those pesky thoughts that whisper psst. Entertain just one psst and that thought brings stronger than the last psst.

Today’s quote is quite powerful. Think about it, how many times do we internalize and replay, retell something that is just rhetoric?

Psst.

Speaking the Word of God, to psst, will renew the mind.

The power of words spoken give strength to move forward.

Replacing one psst at a time is powerful to our spirit.

Praise The Lord to realize we can silence psst just by changing the way we speak to ourselves.

Here are a few scriptures to dispel psst:

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
~ Joshua 1:9 ~

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
~ John 3:16-17

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
~ Romans 8:1 ~

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
~ Romans 12:2 ~

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
~ 2 Corinthians 3:18 ~

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
~ 2 Corinthians 5:17 ~

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
~ Philippians 4:13 ~

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.
~ 1 John 4:18-19 ~

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
~ 1 John 5:4-8 ~

Sometimes we give psst power to overwhelm us. In time, psst loses it power.

Abundant blessings, my friends, because the just shall live by faith, as we silence psst and smile because we can. (wink)

Feel free to share your thoughts on psst.

Faith To Sleep Well Tonight

Sometimes, all you have to do is relax and remind yourself that you’re doing all that you can and that everything is going to turn out alright.
~ Unknown Author ~

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
~ Psalm 23 ~

Hello friends. (smile) How was your day? Psalms can bring comfort to rest the mind and ease tension in the body. Praying a Psalm is powerful too.Praise The Lord for the power of prayer.

Abundant blessings, by faith, as we sleep well tonight!

Faith To Sleep Well Tonight

Sleeping is a cure to forget about pain, problems, stress and everything for a while.
~ Unknown Author ~

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I an meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
~ Matthew 11:28-30 ~

Faith and Grace

The art of being wise is the art of knowing what to overlook.
~ Unknown Author ~

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

To be honest, things and the little darlings continue to challenge me at the circus. Today was brutal.

Praise The Lord for crossing my path with two friends who reminded me to let go and hang in there.

Faith to enjoy life, in spite, of shenanigans, is quite powerful spiritually; as long as we don’t focus on the angst the shenanigans cause.

Faith to enjoy life recognize ebbs and flows lead to the blessing of precious moments in solitude and the faith to endure. Thank you Lord.

Nonetheless, this weekend, I have faith to enjoy life with my mind numbing games, among other activities, after today shenanigans at the circus. Wahoo, something to do.

There are things beyond our control, prayer strengthens faith to enjoy life with the little things that bring balance and the faithfulness of The Lord.

Faith to enjoy lifeunderstands it is, what it is until it’s not.

I have tears of joy and give glory to God, as I write this post because He poured positive words into my heart in spite of my challenging day. (smiling)

Abundant blessings, my friends, as we celebrate faith to enjoy life in spite of ______________.

Faith Through Struggles

No matter how much it hurts now, someday you will look back and realize your struggles changed your life for the better.
~ Unknown Author ~

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: through it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
~ Habakkuk 2:3-4

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well in your world. I’m enjoying the summer having mind numbing fun after my day at the circus. (grin)

Praise the Lord for hobbies and opportunities to unwind. (smile)

It’s been wahoo, something to do that helps me get through the day, as well as, God’s grace. Thank you Lord.

There are times, we must lighten up and remember the faithfulness of the Lord. Every struggle, He will walk us through. The just shall live by faith.

Day in and day out; week in and week out; month in and month out. Yup, year in and year out. Faith through struggles teach and change something for the better.

There will always be something or someone that _________. Keep walking. The just shall live by faith.

When we focus on what we see, ugh, the mind wanders and we speak to what is seen. Thus, putting faith in the struggle. (shock face)

Here’s the thing, have faith and believe in God. There is nothing too hard for Him.

Faith believes God is working in the background of the situation. The just shall live by faith.

God can put a vision within us with patience and faith to endure. It will come in his timing. The just shall live by faith.

Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe next week. Get ready. The just shall live by faith.

Celebrate Seasons

When you open yourself to the continually changing, impermanent, dynamic nature of your own being. You’re able to keep your eyes open, your heart open, and your mind open, you begin to think of your life as offering endless opportunities to start to do things differently.
~ Unknown Author ~

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose, a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak, a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
~ Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ~

He will always cross our path with someone who has what we need. A smile, a word, hugs are free little things given when we need them the most. God “is so worthy to be praised.

His mercy and grace is always available. Thank you Lord.

~ Philippians 4:8 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope you had a great weekend. I hung out with a friend nursing a broken heart. Some of us have this experience on our resume of life.

I praised The Lord for His presence and answering my prayers this weekend.

This post marks the birth of my first blog poem. Thank God for courage.

Entertaining one pesky thought can lead to many pesky thoughts.

Some thoughts overwhelm. Some thoughts torment.

There are times, thoughts are help by words spoken haphazardly.

There are times, comments are internalized that cause pesky thoughts to surface.

Faith to think on things that are true and positive. Grace to cover everything else.

Blessings friends as we start the week with faith and grace abounding.

Your comments or thoughts are welcome.

Celebrate The Small Things, 3 July 2015

Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, how you leave others feelings after an experience with you becomes your trademark.
~ Unknown Author ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome Lexa and co-hosts as we celebrate the small things this week.

This week, I give glory to God for faith and courage to be different. (smile)

I now understand and appreciate balance. All things can bring balance. All things can bring change.

God made us different. Each of us bring gifts and talents that help and bless one another.

Every experience, walked or crawled through, becomes an entry to our resume of life achievements. Experience builds a ministry to bless others.

Sharing our resume can bless someone who may not know the next step or need encouragement to take that leap of faith.

Nothing is more powerful than realizing some experience on our resume, can bring comfort or help to someone.  What a blessing.

For every negative, there is a positive.

So this week, I celebrate faith and courage to be different with a smile, having the day off and receiving my last poetry assignment.

Wahoo, something to do. (wink)

Blessings, my friends, to have a safe and wonderful 4th of July. (smile)

Feel free to share your thoughts.

I have faith that someday I’ll write full time. (grin) Until then, I write when I can because my day job provides food to microwave and the ability to pay bills.  (grin)

Faith has been strength to survive the busy times at the circus. Thank you Lord.

Wahoo, something to do. (laughing)

Faith keeps “all is well” in my world.

Faith grows when we believe in our abilities.

Faith gets stronger when we realize there will always be critics. God bless em!

Faith builds courage to be different.

Faith believes one step closer to that masterpiece, that mate, that job, that retirement or fill in the blank___________.

Sometimes, faith smiles and says “get ready”.

Blessing friends, as we walk by faith and enjoy our day! (smile)
