Life is too short, grudges are a waste of perfect happiness, laugh when you can, apologize when you should and let go of what can’t be changed. Love deeply, forgive quickly, take chances, give it everything and have no regrets.

Life is too short to be unhappy. You have to take the good with the bad, smile when you’re sad, love what you’ve got and always remember what you had. Always forgive but never forget, learn from mistakes but do not regret, people change and things go wrong but always remember life goes on.
~ Unknown Author ~

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
~ James 1:2-4 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Wahoo, the last day of the A to Z Challenge. A heartfelt thank you to all who encouraged and supported my A to Z efforts. {{hugs}}

I appreciate it, more than you know. (smile)

I’m a bit late to the party. My thoughts. Zeal, like enthusiasm, draws people.

Zeal can be hard, to pull off, during a challenging season, until we remember to count it all joy. Challenges test our faith and teach patience.

Zeal, in attitude, helps to count it all joy; by faith or choice.

Life goes on, whether we participate or not.

The upside of zeal is amazing when we understand God can use anything, anyone, anytime to bring change, growth and balance to us. Praise The Lord.

Zestful and free life
Energetic and full life
Abundant and blessed life
Living life and moving forward

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy the weekend!

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 28 of the A to Z Challenge. Not sure why I picked X-factor in my theme.

Googled to find it was once a TV show, never watched it; and X-factor is a variable in a given situation that could have the most significant impact on the outcome; a noteworthy special talent or quality. These are my thoughts.

Jesus is my X-factor. I give him everything and I tell him anything. Jesus is the significant impact of my day-to-day living faith. Praise The Lord.

The upside of Jesus as my X-factor:

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy your day.

~ Maya Angelou ~

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
~ Proverbs 3:13 ~

Pain makes man think. Thought makes man wise. Wisdom makes life endurable.
~ John Patrick ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 27 of the A to Z Challenge. My thoughts on wisdom. I believe wisdom, like common sense, matures as we experience choices.

I love the know better, do better quote because somethings, in life, are known when we’re ready. The Book of Proverbs is filled with wisdom and instruction to live wise or foolish.

Remember, you can’t help a fool, only God can change a heart. (wink)

The upside of wisdom:

Wise enough to know better
I‘m too blessed to be stressed
Seeing distractions for what they are
Disciplined to stay balanced
Oh my God, I can choose to let it go
Moving forward, victory is coming

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy your day.

When we were children, we used to think that when we were grown-up we would no longer be vulnerable. But to grow up is to accept vulnerability…To be alive is to be vulnerable.
~ Madeleine L’Engle ~

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
~ Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 26 of the A to Z Challenge. My perspective on vulnerable.

Some seasons make us vulnerable to change.

Sharing our thoughts make us vulnerable. (wink)

Being vulnerable shows we’re human.

Being vulnerable removes the mask of perfection to be alive to who we are in Christ. Victorious. Praise The Lord.

The upside of vulnerable:

Value ability to be sensitive
Unite others by sharing experience
Let go and let God
Not a victim, more than a conqueror
Embraceable, when we show openness
Resilience through seasons
Appreciates God’s loving grace
Brings humility
Learns to praise God through difficult seasons
Eager to move forward

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy your day.

Total self-esteem requires total and unconditional acceptance of yourself. You are a unique and worthy individual, regardless of your mistakes, defeats and failures, despite what others may think, say or feel about you or your behavior.

If you truly accept and love yourself, you won’t have a driving need for attention and approval. Self-esteem is a genuine love of self. Stop all adverse value judging of yourself. Stop accepting the adverse value judgments of others. Purge yourself of all condemnation, shame, blame, guilt and remorse.
~ Unknown Author ~

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
~ Romans 8:38-39 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 25 of the A to Z Challenge. Happy Monday. Hope your weekend was blessed. Understanding the power of self-acceptance and the love of God. I love the self-esteem quote above. It’s quite liberating. These are my thoughts.

I praise God for self-acceptance and courage to share our relationship. Thank you, Lord.

When we absolutely understand that nothing can separate us from the love of God, that’s living life with all its stuff. It’s casting cares to someone who can do something about it. (wink)

He loves us even when we stumble or act a fool. Here is the best part, he loves us regardless of our past. He never throws anything back at us.

He accepts and sometimes correct us; but at no time does his love stop. His love is enough to believe all things are possible.

Self-acceptance brings wholeness. Self-acceptance is key to self-esteem. Self-acceptance is an inside requirement. What’s on the inside shows on the outside and dictates speech.

The upside to understanding self-acceptance:

Unique, God made us different
Never settle for less than God’s best
Disciplined in living
Embraces weaknesses
Respects self
Secured God’s love and protection
Transparent by his glory within
Appreciate what you bring to the table
Never alone
Dignity to rise above
Interconnected with The Lord
Needs supplied
Going forward is the natural thing to do

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy your day because God loves you.

Experience teaches only the teachable.
~ Aldous Huxley ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 23 of the A to Z Challenge. It’s been said “experience is the best teacher”. I agree. Being teachable contributes to experiences, both the good and not so good.

My thoughts, on teachable, reflect how God can use all things: angst, pain, tears, joy, happiness, love, X or Y, and ______________(fill in the blank) to give experience toward his purpose. Praise The Lord for experience that leads to a testimony.

Teachable experience helps growth and maturity, especially, as we get older. The younger generation will expect us to set the example.

The upside to teachable:

To make better choices
Engaging in better communication
Approachable and open to a different perspective
Choosing to be positive
Having courage to learn something new
Astute in seeing the bigger picture
Balanced is a great place to be
Learning should never stop
Ever ready to move forward

Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
~ Philippians 4:8 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 21 of the A to Z Challenge. Thoughts and what we think about ourself.   Recognition.

Negative thoughts cripple when the focus stays on the negative.

Negative thoughts reinforced themselves when someone echos back that very thought.

Recognition is my metaphor for remembering all that’s good by focusing on what God says……

The upside of recognition:

Believing what God says….. and remembering that.

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 20 of the A to Z Challenge. Way off schedule today with no quote, scripture or acrostic. (shock face) No worries, my friends, all is well in my world. (wink)

Quality can cover a multitude of things.

Quality of life came to mind and how God provides and sustains. I love my faith and trust in him. I love my strength in him.

I’ve walked, crawled, baby stepped my way through stuff and Y moments until I let go and remembered that I’mf r e e in Christ. (smile)

Praise The Lord.

My thoughts on quality center around the faithfulness of God providing his best. He does not half step with blessings, nor does he lead us to settle for less than his best. Timing and patience are working as he prepares us for his best.

He provides above what we could ever imagine.

The upside of quality:

When it comes from the King of Kings and The Lord of Lords, quality is second to none.

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and sleep well tonight.

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

~ Matthew 5:3-11 ~

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
~ John 14:27 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 19 of the A to Z Challenge. I love the Beatitudes and the God giving peace that’s within. Praise The Lord, when we know and experience that kind of peace.

These are my thoughts on peace of mind.

A renewed mind maintains a peace of mind when negativity no longer dominate thoughts.

Peace of mind understands everyone is entitled to their opinion and it’s only information.

Peace of mind knows how to let go the need to be right.

Peace of mind loves that the grace of God is provided daily.

The upside of peace of mind:

Projects calmness
Emphatizes
Adaptable and disciplined
Comfortable in own skin
Easy to communicate

Open-minded
Forgiving

Mindful
Instills serenity
Negotiates
Delighted to keep moving forward

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.  I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
~ Philippians 4:11-13 ~

I believe ebbs and flows, in any season, strengthens and deepens faith in him because he walked us through before. (smile)

There are times, we give too much power to stuff that is not worth the angst. The power of speaking, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”, uplifts our spirit to be okay.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 15 of the A to Z Challenge. TGIF! I believe making a difference can change environments, people, things and us.

Making a difference is sharing our very own positive and negative experiences that helps someone going through that yeah, stuff happens moment.

Making a difference is doing something extraordinary that gives new life, perspective or change and glorifies God.

Many times, God crosses our path with someone who need to hear our testimony or vice versa.

The upside blessings of making a difference:

Make a new friend
Ask a co-worker out to lunch
Knock out strife in the workplace
Invite an enemy for coffee
Nurture the younger generation

 2016 A to Z Challenge
Love cures people – both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it.
~ Dr. Karl Menninger ~

Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
~ Matthew 22:36-40 ~

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
~ 1 Corinthians 13:3-8 (NKJV)

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 14 of the A to Z Challenge. Love can be expressed in a multitude of ways. The most significant way comes from within. We can’t give what we don’t have within.

The two great commandments are love God and love our neighbor as thyself.

Everyone wants to be loved and accepted.   Everyone.  It’s a beautiful thing to know unconditional love as illustrated in 1 Corinthians 13:3-8.

Thirteen years ago, I fell in love with the New King James Version of 1 Corinthians 13.  I thought it was beautifully worded and provided a solid understanding of unconditional love.

This kind of love requires Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
This kind of love is mature and selfless.
This kind of love heals internal wounds. I’m a witness.
Praise The Lord.

I believe until we really know the love of God within us, plus spiritual fruit, love and acceptance of ourself and our neighbor will be challenging.

Until we love and accept ourself, as God does, its hard to receive love from anyone.   Only God can fill the empty places within. We were created for relationships.

Having a personal relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus, is the only way we can ever know love unconditionally.
Love is acceptance.  Love is a choice.

Knowing the love of God allows the ability to love our neighbor, who may not know love.

The upside of love:

Lifts up
Oblivious to fault finding
Values ourself and our neighbor
Endures to keep moving forward

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy your day.

I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

Know Thyself.
~ Socrates ~

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
~ 2 Corinthians 13:5 ~

Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.
~ Unknown Author ~

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
~ Psalm 139:14 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 13 of the A to Z Challenge. Must have been half asleep when I picked some of these words in my theme. (grin) My thoughts on knowing thyself.

Knowing thyself. What pushes that button. Preferences. Habits. Likes and dislikes. Experiences from childhood to adulthood shaped us. Perceptions.

Knowing thyself is love and self-acceptance, warts and all. (smile)

When we know thyself, it’s easier to adapt to others. Adapting is a lifelong process. (whew)

Knowing thyself can love difficult little darlings from a distance, by faith and God’s grace. Praise The Lord.

The upside to knowing thyself:

Keep sight of strength, it’s sustains us
Never allow others to define who we are
Owning choices
Wise enough to let it go
Insight is quite liberating when limits are known
No negative thoughts about thyself
God has a purpose for each of us

Transformed for the better
Hopeful this is that day prayers get answered
Yay, God loves me

Smile, there’s no one like you
Embrace weaknesses, it adds to character
Letting go of non-factors
Fearfully and wonderfully made to move forward

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy your day.

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 12 of the A to Z Challenge. I’m joyful for the A to Z Challenge, meeting many awesome writers, tons of visitors to my blog (thank you) and I’m more committed to writing and finishing my book. Praise The Lord. (smile)

The upside to joyful:

Joy is a fruit of the spirit.

Joyful is when we bring our unique style to the table.

Joyful is sharing experiences to help one another.

Joyful is when we walk or crawl, (remember I like to crawl, it allows me to rest between the its), through enough challenges, that faith and contentment replaces angst and other negative stimulus around us. (grin)

Joyful is when realize challenges, like seasons change. Sometimes, the timing bites but in the long run, we can count it all joy.

Joyful because we’re more than conquerors. (smile)

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 9 of the A to Z Challenge. Never give up hope. I love the hope and strength quote above. It keeps me humble at the circus.

The upside to hope:

Faith in God sustains hope every single time, burdens are cast to him.

Hope is trusting God when negativity shows up.

Genuine giving is a beautiful thing.

Great spiritual achievements depend upon faithfulness in small things.
~ Unknown Author ~

It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
~ Lamentations 3:22-23 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 7 of the A to Z Challenge. I believe faithfulness, from a spiritual perspective, is a wonderful motivator. It displays being a child of God.

I’m grateful of the faithfulness between God and me; the faithfulness and blessings of those who follow and encourage my blogging efforts, thank you; and my faithfulness to those I adore. (wink)

The upside to faithfulness:

Faithfulness toward ourselves is liberating. Meaning we can’t do for others what we’re not willing to do for ourselves.

Faithfulness toward others is a choice and gives glory to God.

It’s a remarkable thing to live out faithfulness.

Favour of God present when needed
Appreciate all that’s good in life
Invigorated by new possibilities
Trusting openly because The Lord is for us
Hopeful in unanswered prayers
Fun because it brings balance
Unconditional and accepting in relationships
Loyalty that stands the test of time
Nurturing our talents, it’s a process
Encouraged to continue growing spiritually
Smiling can cause us to smile back  (smile)
Secured to keep moving forward together

Faithfulness is security through and through that God works all things out for our good. He is faithful that way. (smile)

There is no royal road to anything. One thing at a time, all things in succession. That which grows fast, withers as rapidly. That which grows slowly, endures.
~ J. G. Holland ~

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
~ Matthew 24:13 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 6 of the A to Z Challenge and my April’s IWSG commitment. (wink)

I extend a heartfelt welcome to Alex and April’s IWSG co-hosts.

I believe the ability to endure anything requires faith and hope with tons of grace and perseverance. (wink)

My faith thoughts, as a writer, on endurance is to keep writing. I strongly encourage to write what’s on your heart/mind. We get better the more we write and do our own thing. (smile)

The upside to endurance:

Endurance and perseverance can get us to a published book.
Endurance builds confidence to just do it. (grin)

Explore and research to find style
Network for what we don’t know
Devote time to reading other authors
Understanding great writing takes time
Reach timeline goals
Appreciate each accomplishment
Nourish the dream
Cultivate writing voice
Encouraged to keep moving forward

Endurance is believing in our talents to go the distance.

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy today.

Your thoughts are welcome. (smile)

All art is at once surface and symbol. Those who go beneath the surface do so at their peril. Those who read the symbol do so at their peril.

It is the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors. Diversity of opinion about a work of art shows that the art work is new, complex and vital.
~ Oscar Wilde ~

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God called Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
~ 1 Corinthians 12:3-7 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 5 of the A to Z Challenge. Its been said that variety is the spice of life. I believe the same can be said of diversity being the spice of life.

The upside to diversity is realizing that we all bring talent to the table. (smile)

Diversity opens up opportunities between us.
Diversity is about learning from one another.
Diversity ____________(fill in the blank)

Dignity toward different
Insight into different
Value different
Empathize with different
Respect different
Shift focus about different
Involve different
Take time to know different
Yes to keep moving forward

There are many dimensions to diversity; the key is remembering God made us all different. (smile)

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy today.

Your thoughts are welcome. (smile)

When nobody else celebrates you, learn to celebrate yourself. When nobody else compliments you, then compliment yourself. It’s not up to other people to keep you encouraged, it’s up to you. Encouragement should come from the inside.
~ Unknown Author ~

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
~ Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 3 of the A to Z Challenge. All too often, we can get caught up and forget the joy of celebrating life with all its stuff. (grin) My thoughts center on individual celebrating.

Sometimes, after a long brutal week, I celebrate doing absolutely nothing. (grin)

The upside to celebrating:

Celebrating life every day that God wakes us up.  Praise The Lord.

Celebrating our own personal victories is powerful. I believe it builds and strengthens self-esteem.  (wink)

Celebrating confidence to be ourselves.

Celebrating comes down to how we perceive gratefulness.

Celebrating comes down to what we determine significant.

Creative at its best
Enjoyment of blessing family, friends and enemies
Living f r e e from judgement others
Entering new seasons
Believing God for our hearts desires
Remembering special times
Adjusting to things that challenges us
Taking personal time to relax and recharge
I am blessed everyday
Negate negativity around us
Grace to keep moving forward

To everything there is a season.  Celebrating is a very good thing.

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy today.

Your thoughts are welcome. (smile)

All things have a perfect place in life.  Joy is balanced by sorrow.  Day by night.  Giving by receiving. Wisdom by humility. The secret of life is balance, living in harmony and honor with that which surrounds you.
~ The Ancient One ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 2 of the A to Z Challenge. The many ways to balance life, work and time is different for everyone. The upside to balance is amazing when we understand God can use anything, anyone, anytime to bring balance via blessings. Praise The Lord.

Sometimes, choices need balance
Sometimes, mind numbing fun brings balance
Sometimes, balance is letting go

Remembering to set aside time, for ourself, is wisdom to maintaining a balanced day.

Blessings others return blessings to us
Appreciate memorable moments
Laughter is good for the heart
Accomplishments are rewarding
Needs are met
Contentment while waiting
Experience teaches time management
Direction to keep moving forward

Having balance keeps us open to new opportunities every where.

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy a balanced weekend.

We have Sunday off. (grin) See you Monday! (wink)

Your thoughts are welcome. (smile)

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.
~ Winston Churchill ~

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
~ 2 Peter 1:8 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome, it’s day 1 of the A to Z Challenge. My thoughts are from a spiritual upside to each day’s corresponding letter. A is for attitude.

A positive and spiritual attitude can:

Allure and draw people
Appeal and reflect confidence
Adapt and display openness
Allow inner joy to celebrate the small things

Praise The Lord, there is grace when an off day attitude shows up. (wink)

I love simple acrostics. It’s a neat way to express thoughts.

Adaptable in all relationships
Temperance in self control
Transparent in communication
Inspire others
Transformed by a renewed mind
Understanding choices
Disciplined in lifestyle
Encouraged to keep moving forward

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy your day.

Your thoughts are welcome. (smile)
