Ann – A Friend of Jesus 2013

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. ~ Romans 8:28 ~

IWSG Major Life Events

The great advantage of being in a rut is that when one is in a rut, one knows exactly where one is.
~ Arnold Bennett ~

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
~ Ecclesiastes 3:1 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well. It’s the first Wednesday of the month where we share. Welcome Alex and October IWSG Co-Hosts:  Dolorah @ Book Lover, Christopher D. Votey, Tanya Miranda, andChemist Ken!

Major life events affect everyone differently.

IWSG Day Question: How do major life events affect your writing?

I shut down and walk away from writing. I choose not to write when my emotions are all over the place. Praise The Lord.

Certain emotions put me in a rut, which is why I love the Bennett quote. (smile)

Has writing ever helped you through something? Yes, once I cycled through my emotions, I write and share the experience.

Sometimes, sharing helps someone see a situation from a different perspective.

Abundant blessings, my friends, because the just does everything by faith.

Enjoy the rest of your week and will meet you back here next month. (wink)

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

Sharing is what this group is all about. Writing is a great way of processing our internal conflicts. Thanks for being part of the IWSG!

I don’t want to write when emotions are all over the place and I certainly don’t want to spew them onto the page.

Hey Ann !! I have cut back on writing myself… I write when the Holy Spirit urges me to write…because when I write without His help, it usually isn’t worth reading…

When we write with the Holy Spirit in total charge of our life, we are walking (and writing) in the Spirit…Galatians 5:16…

As a matter of fact…we should not step out of our house without putting on God’s Spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:10-20)… and without being filled with the Holy Spirit…Ephesians 5:18-20…

I would love to share this link with you and your readers on a commentary on walking in the Spirit, because following the suggestions in this post this will keep Satan’s temptations and our own evil flesh in check !!

Blessings in Christ, bruce

Writing definitely helps — especially when one had shut off their emotions and have to start dealing with what had happened. Happy IWSG day!

The Pensieve

A homonym of pensive meaning deeply, seriously thoughtful. Though, it's also a pun, the 'sieve' part of the word alluding to the object's function of sorting meanings from a mass of thoughts or memories. (Source: Pottermore)
