IWSG Creativity

Whatever may be our natural talents, the art of writing is not acquired all at once.
~Jean-Jacques Rousseau ~

Hello friends. (smile) The first Wednesday, of the month, is The Insecure Writer’s Group (IWSG) where we share about writing.

Welcome Alex and November IWSG Co-Hosts:

Ellen @ The Cynical Sailor http://thecynicalsailor.blogspot.com/
J Q Rose  http://www.jqrose.com/
Ann V. Friend  https://afriendofjesus2013.com/
Elizabeth Seckman   http://eseckman.blogspot.com/

Thank you Alex for the opportunity to co-host again. (smile)

November 7 question – How has your creativity in life evolved since you began writing?

I’ve learned to embrace my own writing style. I’ve learned creative ways to use words, bible scriptures and my faith. Praise The Lord.

I’ve become a better writer. Still learning the work, write balance thing.

I must thank all the talented, creative and accomplished writers that I met since joining the group. (wink)

Thank you, your encouragement helped me embraced my abilities to keeping writing.

By faith, quitting is no longer an option.

Someday, there will be a masterpiece with my name on it. (wink)

I believe creativity promotes seeing from a different perspective.

Enjoy the rest of your week and see you back here next month. (wink)

Abundant blessings, my friends, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

  1. Different perspectives always help me with creativity too. Keep learning and growing. 🙂 Thanks for co-hosting this month!

  2. I think this is my first time here, Ann. I love your blog. I believe I’m a friend of Jesus, too. Bravo to you for your positivity. Just know that all writers juggle this writer life balance. Thanks for cohosting. I’ll follow your blog and follow you on social media.

  3. “By faith, quitting is no longer an option.” YES!! Have you ever done a spiritual gifts worksheet? One of my higher gifts is faith, and we had to discuss how that incorporates into our work life. My friend reminded me about my writing, and it’s true! Even when I don’t believe I can do it, I still have a tiny bit of faith that it will happen, so I keep at it!

    It’s nice to meet you!

    1. Thanks Deb, I appreciate your visit and sharing. I’m blessed with the spiritual gifts of faith and encouragement. Praise The Lord. It’s nice meeting you too! Don’t be a stranger. (smile) Blessings.

  4. What a great lead-in to your post–“embrace my own writing style” That probably is the most important part of writing (to me). Writing like yourself is brave. People may or may not like it but it is your best chance to achieve your writing goals. What an excellent reminder, Ann.

    1. Thank you Jacqui, I’m still crying tears of joy from your last awesome comment. Embracing my writing style was liberating and see me free to write from my heart. My courage and confidence is stronger now to just write….

  5. It’s bad news if we ever stop learning. Creativity is fed by learning new things.

Worse news if we stop praising the Lord. It is from God that all good things come including good writing and that’s worth praise!

  6. I agree, being creative does help you see from other perspectives (although when you write from one than one POV maybe that’s unavoidable!)
    Thanks for hosting 🙂

  7. It’s wonderful to have a forever friend guiding us through life! Faith keeps us strong. Thanks for co-hosting!

  8. You have great faith. I believe faith will pull you through to accomplish God’s will in all things. Wishing you success.

    Thank you for co-hosting.

  9. I love your list. Faith is a driving force. Persistence is the best way to get to the goal. I wish you much luck on your journey. Thank you also for being a cohost this month 🙂
