Psalm 119:81-88 – CAPH

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
~ Galatians 6:7-10 ~

We reap what we sow. Every action has results. It comes down to choices and the ability to control and tame the tongue.

CAPH
81 My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.
82 Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.
84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?

85 The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law.
86 All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
87 They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.
88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.
~ Psalm 119:81-88 ~

and they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

Psalm 119:65-72 – TETH

I’ve stumbled into a regular writing rhythm. Forty plus days straight.

Wahoo! Praise The Lord.

Sometimes, baby steps push us to the next level.

TETH
65 Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Lord, according unto thy word.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.

69 The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.
70 Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
~ Psalm 119:65-72

Ten scripture reference to verses:
Verse 66

And this I pray, that your love May abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgement;
~ Philippians 1:9 ~

Verse 67
18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God. 19 Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.
~ Jeremiah 31:18-19 ~

5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
~ Hebrews 12:5-11 ~

Verse 68

For thou, LORD, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
~ Psalm 86:5 ~

Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
~ Psalm 125:4 ~

Verse 70

They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
~ Psalm 17:10 ~

Make the heart of his people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
~ Isaiah 6:10 ~

They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.
~ Jeremiah 5:28 ~

Verse 72
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. 11 For wisdom, is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it,
~ Proverbs 8:10-11 ~

My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
~ Proverbs 8:19 ~

Ecclesiastes 4:1-6 – Comfort Through Tough Times

Let us hear the conclusion of the matter. Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
~ Ecclesiastes 12:13 ~

I found comfort in the Books of Job, Psalms, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. Comfort and praying that got me through tough times. Praise The Lord.

Tough times teach and change us for better or worse.

It’s a choice.

Scripture references to Ecclesiastes 4:1-6 verses:

Verse 1
And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgement, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
~ Ecclesiastes 3:16 ~

If thou sees the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgement and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.
~ Ecclesiastes 5:8 ~

For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgement, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
~ Isaiah 5:7 ~

Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself.
~ Lamentations 1:9 ~

Verse 2
13 For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest, 14 With kings and counsellors of the earth, which build desolate places for themselves;  15  Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver:

16 Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light. 17 There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest. 18 There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor. 19 The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.

20 Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul; 21 Which long for death, but it cometh not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures;
22 Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave? 23 Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?

24 For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters. 25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. 26 I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.
~ Job 3:13-26 ~

Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me: for all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
~ Ecclesiastes 2:17 ~

Verse 3
If a man begat an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.
~ Ecclesiastes 6:3 ~

Verse 4

I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
~ Ecclesiastes 1:14 ~

For there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity, yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.
~ Ecclesiastes 2:21 ~

Verse 5

Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
~ Proverbs 6:10 ~

Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
~ Proverbs 24:33 ~

And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
~ Isaiah 9:20 ~

Verse 6

Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith. Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
~ Proverbs 15:16-17 ~

Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

Thoughts – The Reasoning of The Mind

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
~ Proverbs 23:7 ~

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
~ Romans 8:5-6 ~

The mind and a thought is powerful. Both have the ability to set us free or keep us stuck. It’s a choice.

It’s a choice to build ourself up. It’s a choice to own our part of the coulda, woulda and shoulda replays.

It’s a choice to be kind, to ourself, when we stumble. God’s amazing grace. (wink)

It’s a process that begins with renewing the mind and changing thought habits.

It’s a choice when we’re ready.

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
~ Genesis 6:5 ~

The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
~ Proverbs 15:26 ~

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
~ Isaiah 55:8-9 ~

Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts
are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
~ Isaiah 59:7 ~

The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
~ Psalm 10:4 ~

And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
~ 1 Corinthians 3:20 ~

Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought
of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
~ Acts 8:22 ~

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
~ 1 Chronicles 28:9 ~

casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
~ 2 Corinthians 10:5 ~

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
~ Hebrews 4:12 ~

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
~ Psalm 139:17 ~

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
~ Psalm 139:23-24 ~

Be kind to ourself and have a marvelous day!

Abundant blessings, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

~ Matthew 7:24-27 ~

13 (for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15 which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) 16 in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

and the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
~ Deuteronomy 14:29 ~

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
~ James 4:4 ~

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Psalm 119:2-16 – BETH

Lately, I’m finding comfort in the Book of Psalms.

Psalm 119 is the longest Psalm and chapter in the Bible. My twentieth favorite Psalm. (wink)

Psalm 119 is a repetitive meditation of God’s Word using the Hebrew alphabet for the twenty-two sections, eight lines each.

BETH
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

Challenged and Still Standing

Sharing encouragement for those challenging times. Once you pray about it and give it to God, let it go.

Resilient In Christ – Wisdom

Knowledge is knowing what to say. Wisdom is knowing whether or not to say.
~ Unknown Author ~

All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
~ Proverbs 8:8-9 ~

Resilient in Christ perseveres by experience. Everything we hear doesn’t require a response. It’s a choice.

Sometimes, no response is wisdom.

Love One Another

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
~ 1 John 4:11-12 ~

The ability to love others, in a less than kind environment, is a choice.

To love imperfections, in others, is to love as God loves our imperfections.

These are just my thoughts and something to ponder….

Focus and Think Positive

Thoughts are powerful. It takes practice to focus and think positive thoughts.

There is always a choice.

Philippians 4:8-9 scripture references:

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
~ Romans 15:33 ~

And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
~ Romans 16:20 ~

For God, is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
~ 1 Corinthians 14:33 ~

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
~ 1 Thessalonians 5:23 ~

Enjoy your day and think positive! Try it by faith…..

Abundant blessings, everyone, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

The Knots Prayer

I love this prayer of specificity. It helped me obliterate the nots, in my mind, that kept me stuck, for years, until God answered my prayer. Praise The Lord.

I encourage anyone stuck with troubling thoughts to pray without ceasing this prayer.

Moving forward or staying stuck is a choice.

Make it a great day.

Abundant blessings, everyone, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts.

Finding Balance

Hello everyone. Hope all is well. I had big plans today. Woke up not feeling well.

Ended up unplugged and sleeping all day.

I feel better. Rest is a beautiful thing. (wink)

Praise The Lord.

Sometimes finding balance is understanding why we do the things we do.

Finding balance still challenges me. By faith, victory will someday be mine.

Abundant blessings, everyone, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts.

Celebrate The Small Things – Kindness

Caring people help others not because they expect a reward but because it is natural to show kindness.
~ Unknown Author ~

She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and her tongue is the law of kindness.
~ Proverbs 31:26 ~

Busy At The Circus

Hello everyone. Hope all is well. Things are picking up at the circus. Will try to post either morning or evening. This morning, just ran out of time.

Don’t be alarmed if a day is missed.

I’ve mentioned before the circus pays my wages. I like having shelter, food to microwave and lots of Dr. Pepper. (wink)

I still have my sense of humor. Praise The Lord for peaceful nights rest.

Will catch up on all your blogs.

Abundant blessings, everyone, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

IWSG Questions About Writing

Happy New Year everyone. Welcome Alex and January Co-hosts: Patricia Lynne, Lisa Buie-Collard, Kim Lajevardi, and Fundy Blue, to the Insecure Writer’s Support Group (IWSG), where we share and support all about writing.

OPTIONAL IWSG Day Question: What are your favorite and least favorite questions people ask you about your writing?

To be honest, I have no least or favorite questions asked about my writing. Keeps me neutral. (wink)

It’s the only way to keep my sanity and confidence as a writer.

It comes down to perspective, questions asked and answered are opinions.

Opinions can build up or tear down.

I had to learn opinions is information to accept or reject.

Make it a great IWSG day!

Abundant blessings, everyone, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts.

Blessings and Happy New Year, my friends, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts.
