Love One Another

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
~ 1 John 4:11-12 ~

The ability to love others, in a less than kind environment, is a choice.

To love imperfections, in others, is to love as God loves our imperfections.

These are just my thoughts and something to ponder….

Abundant blessings, everyone, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts.

  1. “The ability to love others, in a less than kind environment, is a choice.”

That is an important point right there, Ann. The truth is that some people(maybe me LOL) are hard to love. Some folks are dislikable, unpleasant, or whatever the case may be. That does not release us from our responsibility to act in love, despite our feelings. Instead of our feeling driving our actions, we are commanded to act, and our feelings will likely follow.

    1. Great points Wally, I believe this is one example of becoming like Jesus. We are new creatures in Christ. The Holy Spirit and love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance must be within us, in order to *choose* freely to love this way. As well as, a deep and personal relationship with Jesus. All of this shows Jesus to the world around us. It has been a learned choice from my perspective.
Thanks for commenting and abundant blessings Wally ❤️
