Ecclesiastes 4:1-6 – Comfort Through Tough Times

Let us hear the conclusion of the matter. Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
~ Ecclesiastes 12:13 ~

I found comfort in the Books of Job, Psalms, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. Comfort and praying that got me through tough times. Praise The Lord.

Tough times teach and change us for better or worse.

It’s a choice.

Scripture references to Ecclesiastes 4:1-6 verses:

Verse 1
And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgement, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
~ Ecclesiastes 3:16 ~

If thou sees the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgement and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.
~ Ecclesiastes 5:8 ~

For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgement, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
~ Isaiah 5:7 ~

Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself.
~ Lamentations 1:9 ~

Verse 2
13 For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest, 14 With kings and counsellors of the earth, which build desolate places for themselves;  15  Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver:

16 Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light. 17 There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest. 18 There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor. 19 The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.

20 Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul; 21 Which long for death, but it cometh not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures;
22 Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave? 23 Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?

24 For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters. 25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. 26 I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.
~ Job 3:13-26 ~

Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me: for all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
~ Ecclesiastes 2:17 ~

Verse 3
If a man begat an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.
~ Ecclesiastes 6:3 ~

Verse 4

I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
~ Ecclesiastes 1:14 ~

For there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity, yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.
~ Ecclesiastes 2:21 ~

Verse 5

Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
~ Proverbs 6:10 ~

Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
~ Proverbs 24:33 ~

And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
~ Isaiah 9:20 ~

Verse 6

Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith. Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
~ Proverbs 15:16-17 ~

Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
~ Proverbs 16:8 ~

Have a marvelous day and weekend!

Abundant blessings, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts.
