Smile That Button Doesn’t Work Anymore Part 4

Experience is something you cannot learn from others, but only yourself.
~ Unknown Author ~

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
~ Romans 5:1-5 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Buttons. Things/stuff and the little darlings who push our buttons. (grin) I haven’t talk about my buttons in awhile.

I can smile because one button doesn’t work anymore. (smile) Silly distractions no longer bother me. I can smile as I let it go. (smile)

Changing perspective is wonderful when replacing the thought about the button into a positive like teaching patience, self-discipline or _________________ (fill in the blank).

There are times, when focusing on things and stuff or Y moments cause angst or push my buttons. Rhetoric and shenanigans are buttons that can still be pushed. Ugh. Wahoo, something to do!

Here is the beautiful thing about reacting when buttons are pushed. Grace. Praise The Lord for his grace when buttons are pushed and we stumble. (wink)

How about you, what pushes your button?

Abundant blessings and keep the faith to enjoy your day. (smile)

Smile, That Button Doesn’t Work Anymore Part 3

How is your button these days? (smile) To recap, part 1 talked about the button that gets pushed when something or somebody fill in the blank_________; or stuck in traffic; or raining and walking with no umbrella (ugh); my all time favorite–watching favorite tv show and the power goes off. Things and stuff that push our button! (shock face)

As we continue to grow spiritually, we understand how the Word of God ties to walking through life challenges. The bible is full of scriptures to apply to life challenges. For example, in Philippians 4:11-13, Paul states “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”. Learning contentment helps to adapt and adjust, or roll with it as I like to say. (smile)

Our spiritual fruit becomes evident when we can smile when something or someone pushes our button and there is no reaction, except to smile because that button doesn’t work anymore! (big smile)

Part 2, talked about having another button and that no brokenness or mask wearing can exist in a spirit led life. Relationships without clear communication or being unequally yoked can push buttons. Carrying burdens God never meant for us to carry can push buttons.

To live a life of faith requires perseverance (long sufferings brother) (grin) knowing God will equip us as he leads us to walk, crawl or run through the challenge. Pray and cast, by faith and keep our hands off while releasing it to God so that button doesn’t work anymore! (smile)

Part 3 is sharing that as we continue to change and grow, we will be retested on many of life challenges–things and stuff, people. It’s all part of the process of life. Of all the spiritual fruit, (love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control)), long suffering (patience) is the one tested the most! Can I get a witness? (smile)

As I’ve mentioned before, God will use anything and anyone to assist in our growth. Knowing what triggers our button will help to adjust and refocus when that something or someone comes our way. Sometimes, the unknown of something gets us anxious and our button gets pushed.

My button is unnecessary distractions that just keep coming because someone wants something now, now, now. (gritted teeth smile) My patience gets tested because nine times out of ten, the something really could wait! But noooooooo, now, they must have it now! Ain’t life grand! (smile)

This last week was a little brutal, especially with the cold weather, so I spent Saturday just talking with the Lord and relaxing in His presence. Next thing I know, the day had passed (smile) Sometimes, we must remember to balance our stuff and take a pause to enjoy at least 5 minutes to ourself or more if you can get it! This helps with our button. (smile)

So how’s your button?

Be blessed and enjoy your Sunday! (smile)

Feel free to share comments about your button. (smile) I would love to hear about it!

Smile That Button Doesn’t Work Anymore (Part 2)

Ugh, I have another button! (shock face) How about you? Can I get a witness? (smile) Sometimes, we must have a sense of humor to laugh out loud or if we must sing a song! (wink and smile)

We talk a lot about the fruit of the spirit–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control), because fruit is needed for growth and maturity, as well as, healing the brokenness we may not know exist within us.

I remember back in the day, when I was having issues. I had the nerve to think it was everybody else until someone told me , “honey, you have a lot of brokenness in you”. (shock face) God is the ONLY one who will put the right folks in our lives to heal stuff that is not fruit!

As we grow and mature, being rooted and grounded in the Word, having the fruit of the spirit within us, and led by the Holy Spirit, we become whole and emotionally healthy individuals in Christ. No brokenness or mask wearing can exist in a spirit led life. (wink and grin) They will know us by our fruit. (smile)

Communication is important, thus my button. smile) We all communicate differently. We are all on different levels. God is working on each of us for different things. Thank God for his mercy and his grace during those times, that button is pushed!

Relationships without clear communication or being unequally yoked can push buttons. Any one carrying burdens God never meant for them to carry can push buttons.
_________________(fill in the blank) can push buttons.

Let’s talk about faith. Having faith in God is a beautiful thing to behold! There is no doubt, worry or stress when our faith is in him! (smile)

To live a life of faith requires perseverance (long sufferings brother) (grin) knowing God will equip us as he leads us to walk, crawl or run through the challenge. Pray and cast, by faith and keep our hands off while releasing it to God so that button doesn’t work anymore! (smile)

God bless us as we have faith with regards to our button that doesn’t work anymore!

Please share any comments about your button. (smile)

Most of us have a button. You know, the button that gets pushed when something or somebody _________; or traffic jam, raining and walking with no umbrella, watching favorite tv show and the power goes off; somebody just has to tell you something and 30 minutes later, you’re still listening. Come on, my friends, let’s get real. (shock face) Until we surrender to the Holy Spirit, the mask we wear starts to crack thus the button. Ain’t life grand! (smile)

As we continue, to change and grow, in spiritual maturity, we start to understand how the Word of God ties to walking through life challenges.

By faith, we’re learning to be content. By faith, we’re learning to live with little and with much. Painful sometimes and we praise The Lord! 🙂 We’re learning, we can only do all things through Christ. We’re understanding Philippians 4:19 that states “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus”.

So day to day, we can rely on God supplying what we need as we walk through life regardless of the circumstances. And depending on the many circumstances that life can throw at us, let us praise God, for the victory that would give us acquired experience with this scripture, as well as, Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

As we grow spiritually, and increase our prayer life, our fruit becomes evident when we can smile when something or someone pushes the button and there is no reaction. We can smile because the button doesn’t work anymore! How about that.  (smile)  God bless you and keep moving forward!

As always, feel free to share your thoughts about your button. (smile)
