Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Improvise”

Life is full of surprises…not all these surprises are pleasant. So you need to be ready for what life gives you.
~ Unknown Author ~

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
~ Hebrews 11:1-3 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Wahoo, it’s back, Two Cents Tuesday hosted by Ideflex, over at Across The Bored blog.  I’ve missed this challenge.

I believe we’ve all had to improvise at some point in life. My vision of improvise ties directly to faith that all things have a way of working out.

Those pleasant and unpleasant surprises. Those wardrobe blunders. Those kind and unkind conversations. Those challenges that makes us grow.

To have faith and improvise, when you lost a button just before an official ceremony.

To have faith and improvise, when you pulled a string that leaves a hole in your dress. Ugh!

To have faith and improvise, when you grab the wrong notes for a briefing.

To have faith and improvise, the art of listening when a conversation gets off topic.

To have faith and improvise, through challenges that teach us something in the by and by.

Thank God for safety pins, tape and post its.

Thank God for creativity to think quickly on the spot.

Thank God for discipline to practice the pause and say nothing.

Thank God for faith.

Blessings my friends, as keep the faith and improvise, when needed, along our journey today. (wink)

Feel free to share a time you had to improvise. (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Heat”

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
~ Jeremiah 17:7-8 ~

Hello friends (smile) I am starting to love these Two Cents Tuesday Challenges. (cheesy smile) It’s fun to be creative and show our vision. Whether positive or negative, heat can affect everything; depending on your perspective. (smile)

Having faith, to trust God, in all things, will produce more spiritual fruit and growth–either positively or negatively. Depending on that mountain, remember, the one, I like to go around. (gritted teeth smile)

20140707-230455-83095704.jpg
It’s truly a beautiful thing to have spiritual fruit so deep within that when the heat from fiery trials come, have the faith to walk right through them. (smile)

Thank God for His mercy and His grace. I am looking forward to that day when heat temperatures won’t bother me. Wahoo, faith!

My pros and cons of heat:

Pros of heat:
Great in the winter.
Great for cooking or warming food (not that I know anything about cooking; but I can warm in the microwave) (shock face)
Great for hot water showers.

Cons of heat:
Humidity can mess up the hair. Ugh
Tempers can get short in extreme heat.
Some fabrics don’t breathe well in the heat.
Can’t leave windows in car open, critters can get in the car.
Sunburn.

For you reading pleasure, some scriptures on heat:

Heat, hot

Figurative of:
God’s wrath – Deuteronomy 9:19
Man’s anger – Deuteronomy 19:6
Determination – Genesis 31:36
Zeal – Psalm 39:3
Persecution – Matthew 13:6, 21
Heavy toll – Matthew 20:12
Real Faith – Revelation 3:15

Have a blessed day and stay cool! (smile) Feel free to add your pros and cons of heat. (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Surprise”

Surprise, I have no quote or scripture today. (shock face)
~Ann Friend~

Hello friends (smile) Surprise. Most everyone loves a surprise. Almost anything can be a surprise these days. (smile) Some surprises are pleasant. Some not so much.

I thank God and am grateful for friends who bless me with surprises! (smile)

20140623-222604-80764068.jpg
A kind word of encouragement, a meal, like, reblog or retweet my stuff, giving your time, to listen, when I need to talk and virtual hugs. I say a heartfelt thank you and God bless you big! (cheesy smile)

I’m surprised when God gives me wisdom to bless someone with the exact words they need. (smile)

I’m surprised when I drive somewhere I’ve never been and back, in one piece. Thanking God along the way! (smile)

I’m surprised how addicted I’ve become playing TwoDots! It’s fun and it keeps me entertained. (shock face)

I’m surprised that I am still the queen of procrastination in my personal life! (gritted teeth smile)

I’m surprised that I’m still rolling with this blog. Sometimes, I’m overwhelmed. I’m still trying to find balance. (smile)

So friends have a blessed day and enjoy any pleasant surprises! (smile)

Tell me, what surprises you? (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Silly”

Every survival kit should include a sense of humor.
~ Author Unknown ~

Hello friends (smile) We could really have fun talking about silly. The lighter side of silly. The positive side of silly.

Silly things. Silly people. Silly me!

Silly with regards to our own sense of humor. (smile) We need a sense of humor or things in life will not be balanced. (smile)

Sometimes, silly can make us laugh. Sometimes, silly can work our last nerve. (shock face)

20140603-183528-66928526.jpg
Today, silly thoughts kept me smiling in my own little mind. (cheesy grin) I’ve learned to lighten up, even if I need to have a silly thought every now and then. (smile)

It’s unfortunate when others can’t or won’t recognize that we are all different. We talk and express ourself differently. (smile) Ah, a topic for another time, silly me. (smile)

I am learning some folks are just not happy with anything and are no nonsense types. God bless them!

Somedays, to be a little silly can be a blessing, at the end, of the day, because we walked through and laughed along the way. (cheesy smile)

Blessings and enjoy your evening! (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Expectations”

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
~ Psalm 62:5-8~

Hello friends (smile) No acrostic this week because I could not find a good word for X beside xerox. (shock face) There were many thoughts in my head about expectations, disappointments and constantly adapting to X, Y and Z.

20140527-001422-862456.jpg
My thoughts were all over the place, so I spent the last few days playing games and meditating in the Book of Psalms as I prayed for family, friends and enemies.

I see expectations right up there with my faith in God. My daily expectation is faith and to draw my strength from above, as I continue to renew my mind that all good things come from above and continue to walk through as God’s will be done. (smile)

Blessings, my friends and keep the faith! (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Lost”

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~Romans 8:28~

If you don’t get lost, there’s a chance you may never be found.
~Author Unknown~

Hello friends (smile) Happy Tuesday!

Lost of something or someone during our lifetime is inevitable. Lost can be many things in life. Lost can be tragic. Lost can be self imposed.

20140513-042137.jpg
Lost can be different depending on perspective. Sometimes, lost can be a blessing.

I get lost driving, especially, if I suddenly hit a detour and don’t know the area. Thank God for GPS!

I get lost, in time, playing Candy Crush and Angry Birds Friends. (shock face) Playing games can help clear troubling thoughts with mindless fun. (smile)

I get lost without focus. Especially overthinking the why of something. Maybe that is just daydreaming! (smile)

Lost can bring change and draw us closer. Lost can be a spiritual awakening.

Depending on where we are in life, sometimes, lost brings newness to something better for today, tomorrow or the day after that…..

Blessings!

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Abstract”

“One man’s trash is another mans treasure.”
~ Author Unknown ~

Hello friends. (smile) This week’s Two Cents Tuesday Challenge is Abstract. Abstract to me is like opinions and preferences. (smile) We all see and view things differently. (smile)

We like, what we like. We prefer, what we prefer. Nothing else will do. (smile)

20140429-163446.jpg
These days I find some of the environments we find ourselves in abstract. (shock face)

Let’s face it, until we understand to adapt and adjust when we encounter different everything appears abstract. (grit teeth smile)

Simple things like communicating has become abstract. Manners is almost abstract from my point of view.

I’m in a weird place today as illustrated by my view of abstract. (smile)

Be blessed in whatever way you view abstract. (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Grateful”

I know that when I pray, something wonderful happens. Not just to the person or persons for whom I’m praying, but also something wonderful happens to me. I’m grateful that I’m heard. ~ Maya Angelou ~

Hello friends (smile) I’m sharing some of my grateful thoughts for the Two-Cents Tuesday Challenge. I encourage you to share your grateful thoughts. (smile)

I’m grateful everyday that my Lord and Savior wakes me up and equips me, by faith, for the day. (smile) I’m grateful that He answers my prayers! (smile) I’mgrateful for every good thing in my life!

20140414-221447.jpg
I’m grateful for the wisdom to understand that life will bring challenges and sometimes those challenges force me to continue to grow and mature in every area of life. (gritted teeth smile) Sometimes, it’s painful! Can I get a witness (wink and a smile)

I’m grateful that the spiritual fruit within me continues to grow and make me more spiritual. I’m grateful for His mercy and grace when I stumble. There are times, I stumble hard. (shock face)

I’m grateful for family and friends who encourage and hang with me when I’m overwhelmed or frustrated by things and stuff and/or X, Y, and Z. Thank you! God bless you big! (smile)

I’m grateful for disappointments because God loves and protects me and has something better. Thank you Lord. (smile)

I’m grateful for the courage to be me! I’m grateful that I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. (smile) Praise The Lord!

I’m grateful for times when God moves, in a mighty way, to let me know, He’s working and to keep the faith. (smile)

I’m grateful for His Word being deeply rooted within to speak to situations by faith and prayer.

I’m grateful for His presence in my life. When going through stuff, He walks me through and comforts me through my tears. I’m grateful that when it’s over, I’m stronger than before. Thank you Lord!

Finally, I’m grateful that I truly believe and trust Romans 8:28! (smile)

Have a blessed and grateful day, my friends! (smile) As always, your comments are welcome. (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Loyalty”

Romans 13:1 – Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

For this week’s, Two Cents Tuesday Challenge, I chose to address loyalty from the communication aspect. It takes courage to do your own thing when writing. (smile)

20140211-222413.jpg
Ever have a conversation or read an article that you walked away thinking what? There is lingo these days that definitely challenge the lines of communication depending on our generation category. Sometimes, I have to google certain shorthand lingo to understand what it means. (shock face) I’m a baby boomer, how about you? (smile)

I’ve learned to listen more. I learn stuff that way. No matter the generation, loyalty from and in God and His Word still stands. Praise The Lord!

It’s comforting to know that regardless of the craziness around us, faith and trust in God’s loyalty as His Word stands the same yesterday, today, forever.

Be blessed! Your comments and thoughts are welcome. (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Cook”

20140113-184626.jpg

I was going to skip this weeks challenge since I don’t cook and own no recipe for anything. I have cookbooks somewhere in storage. (smile) So I decide to have fun with this challenge. I’m laughing as I’m writing (smile) Here’s my sense of humor about cooking as illustrated by my acrostic. (smile)

Cook. Cooked. Cooking. Three words not on my resume. (smile) I tried cooking a few times. Can you say, disaster. I tried frying once. You can’t fry on high flames. (Ugh)

20140113-184734.jpg

I tried cooking with a crock pot. Put all the stuff in the crock pot and left for work, thinking when I walked in the door, I’d smell my masterpiece, (ha) I forgot to turn it on! (smile) Imagine my shocked face! Sometime back in 1990, I gave up trying to cook!

It was not for me. Someday, maybe, just not today or tomorrow, or the day after that…

You need patience and interest to cook. I have patience, just no interest for cooking! (shock face)

You know when you rent, then decide to move; you clean real well to get your deposit back. Most places I’ve rented, the kitchen stove was always immaculate! Of course, it would be, it was never used. They didn’t know that. (smile) I did enjoy boiling water for cup of noodles for awhile. (smile) I don’t think boiling water counts. (smile)

Nope, I am the queen of microwaving, dining out or ordering take out! (smile) Every year, restaurants can count on me to bring them profits! (smile)

Hope you enjoyed my cook challenge! (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Writing”

20131125-201050.jpg
Remember back in the day, when we wrote notes or letters and mailed them? Remember keeping a diary or journal, where you wrote every thought, feeling? We wrote about our joys, heartbreak, things and stuff! Ah, those were the days.  (wink)

20131125-201347.jpg

In the 21st century, we write letters–the email kind. Short hand text kind. Sometimes, I wonder just where would we be without today’s technology? Although, I do like having a portable way to jot my thoughts down on my phone!  (shock face)

Can you remember the last time, you actually penned a personal letter and mailed it?  (smile)

I love to write. Somewhere in a box, I have cards, notes and old letters that span over many years of things and stuff. Its been awhile, since I walked down memory lane with those timeless treasures and experiences. How about you? When was the last time, you walked down memory lane? Inquiring minds wanna know.  (wink)

We all have a story. No one can write it better then us.  (smile)

God bless you and have a great day!

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Birthdays“

20131111-192934.jpg
My first post for Across the Bored’s Two Cents Tuesday Challenge. 😀 Birthdays!

Happy Birthday for all born in November. 😀 Happy belated birthday to the rest of us! 😜

I just love birthdays! Of the 365 days of the year, our birthday is our day. It the day God blessed us with life. It’s a day folks sing different versions of 🎶🎶Happy Birthday🎶🎶 to us. 😁

20131111-193040.jpg

As we get older, birthdays can be as special as we want them to be. Presents, free birthday meals, hanging out just enjoying time with friends and family. 😉

My BFF celebrates the whole month, in which, she was born. 😀 Years ago, she worked our nerves with her birthday count down. 😜 It went something like this–she would notify family and friends 120 days, from her birthday, until she made it, to the single digit of 1 day until her birthday. We never forgot her birthday because of the countdown. Thank God, she out grew it in her 40s! 😀

Like things in life, some birthdays may not be special each year but those who care will always find a way to celebrate and bring a birthday smile to us on our birthday! 😀

Thank God for friends and family who celebrate our birthdays with us!
