2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
It takes courage to step out of your comfort level and try something different. It takes courage to speak your hopes and dreams out loud. It takes courage to believe in the faithfulness of God and the desires He puts within us. It takes courage to believe in ourself.
It takes courage to stop running from life. It takes courage to make decisions and stand behind them. It takes courage to stand alone and not follow the crowd. It takes courage to recognize our weaknesses and do something about it. It takes courage to let go of controlling everything.
Courage grows as we mature spiritually. Courage grows as we become comfortable in who we are in Christ. Courage grows when we take responsibility for our choices. Courage grows when we stop making excuses. Courage grows when we become honest with ourself. Courage grows when we realize the past no longer holds us captive.
As we get older, it’s takes strength and courage to live life without others approval. As we get older, it takes courage to continue regardless of critics. (smile)
Be encouraged to do it, by faith, until your courage is stronger that doubt, fear, or fill in the blank _____________.

Top of the day to our blessed afriendofjesus2013 friends! When I started this blog, I knew nothing about blogging or what to expect. I am humbled and grateful by the whole blogging experience. I just love The Lord! I am led by the Holy Spirit and enjoy a deep and personal relationship with Jesus! All of my postings are written from a “we” perspective because as Jesus changed my life, and my mind was renewed, my “I” became “we”. It is not my intention to offend or judge anybody by my way of expression.
Today, I am writing from both (I and We) perspectives. God put a message on my heart that we hope opens eyes and gives hope to someone to forgive and release all the stuff being carried to him (God). God is the only one who can heal every area within us and set us free to live and enjoy life. That freedom becomes a testimony of his love and what it can do! Praise God! God is the only one who can change and convict hearts.
God gives us different ways to communicate. With the various ways, we can send out information, Facebook, Twitter, etc, our intent for the “Speak To The Lies To Renew Our Minds” was to give awareness that our thoughts and memories about ourselves can be lies or distorted. We all have stuff that we are working through. Again, we can be our own worst enemy.
The things we think about ourselves keep us oppressed, depressed or creates stress that is or can destroy us. These lies keep us paralyzed living with fear and doubt; anger and pride. These four are the big ones that unless we learn to speak to the stuff from the past, it holds us captive–dead bones walking. Jesus died to give us life! 2 Timothy 1:7 says “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”.
There are saved and unsaved people around us who can’t get their breakthrough or move forward because they don’t know how to address the issues they carry from the past.
Release it to God. He puts people in our life to help us grow. At a certain point in life, we have to stop blaming others and take responsibility to do something about moving on with life.
The message people never get is that God loves them, in spite of their stuff! Regardless of the past, or anything that they did. God is love! God’s love has no conditions. Our heart goes out to each and every person who is carrying stuff that God did not intend for them to carry!
The speak to the lies message was our way to shake things up and encourage someone to surrender their stuff to God.
God made us all different. So who are we to judge anybody. I love Matthew chapter 25. We forget that God loves. Since we are created in God’s image, who are we to judge anybody. Unfortunately, we all judge to a certain extent–especially when someone is different from us or does things different–but partly because we don’t know any better. Somewhere it became us versus them. People make the world go round. Again, we all bring something to the table.
Sometimes lets agree to disagree. Only a prideful person has something to prove, otherwise let it go! Remember they mocked and talked about Jesus, what makes us think they won’t mock and talk about us. How unfortunate, we can’t love and adapt to each other to get along. Until we can love like 1 Corinthians 13, we are still a work in progress.
Life in and of itself can be tough. Stuff happens but God is and always has been in charge. His will be done. Remember Romans 8:28.
When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, our thoughts and speech change. When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we get a new heart! When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we have the fruit of the spirit and are led by The Holy Spirit.
When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we are rooted and grounded in love to love as Jesus loves–unconditionally regardless because love never fails.
When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, our minds are renewed by the Word of God to speak life into every aspect of our lives and our thoughts lean toward positive and kind ways to help and adapt to others.
When we are led by the Holy Spirit in every area of our lives, we don’t have to tell anyone anything, they will see by our actions and know by our fruit!
God will continue to prune and produce more fruit within us as we work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. When we are emotionally healthy, we become open and light, approachable– so full of love that people are drawn to us. God can make our enemies be at peace with us! Oh to be a child of God!
Let’s talk about love. Free will to choose. God loves us and gives us a choice to choose and love him. Relationships are failing because we put conditions on love. At the end of the day, love is a choice. Single or married, we are blessed if we know God loves us by choice!
God bless to our afriendofjesus2013 friends as we move forward together! Always A Friend
Proverbs 16:7 – When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Matthew 25:42-46 – For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
1 Corinthians 13:3-13 (NKJV) – And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Philippians 2:12 – Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
