Celebrate The Small Things, 20 March 2015

I’m stronger because I had to be, smart because of my mistakes, happier because of the sadness I’ve known, and now wiser because I’ve learned. ~Unknown Author ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends.  (smile) Hope all is well in your world.  (smile)

It’s a beautiful thing when God gives us what we need.  He always provides.  Praise The Lord.  A reason to celebrate the small things.

Learning to celebrate the small things grow, as we walk through with faith, knowing how God can work all things out.  (smile)

Yesterday was my two year blogging anniversary.  Praise The Lord.  Celebrate the small things.

Thank you friends and abundant blessings for supporting my blog.  I appreciate the support! Celebrate the small things.

I give glory to God for my second  year  anniversary.  Only He knows the number of times, I almost quit.  (shock face) Celebrate the small things.

So today, I celebrate the small things, I no longer take for granted.

Keeping the faith is powerful when we keep walking through trusting the faithfulness of God working  all things out.  (smile) Celebrate the small things.

Friends, have a blessed and great day, celebrate the small things! (smile)

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Abundant blessings, my friends, as we have a good day, by faith! (smile)

Life

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
~ John 10:9-11 ~

Life lives, life dies. Life laughs, life cries. Life gives up and life tries. But life looks different through everyone’s eyes.

Hello friends. (smile) Sorry, I’m late in posting today. Took some extra time enjoying my clean house and staying unplugged. I had a great day reflecting! Praise The Lord.

How about you, how was your day? Anything, you, want to share? (smile)

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2015/01/img_0777.jpg
Sometimes, to sit and reflect on life, where we were versus where we are now can be an interesting walk down memory lane. Sometimes, to remember the struggles and how God walked us through warms the heart and a shout out “Thank you, Lord.”

It’s a beautiful thing to share our life experiences because as the quote above says “life looks different through everyone’s eyes”. I thank God for the courage to share my life experiences that, by faith, can help someone. (smile)

God is light. God is love. There is nothing dark about Him. No one or nothing is more powerful than Him. Here’s wisdom, thoughts of a negative nature, anger, doubt are not of God. Must have faith.

I see living an abundant life as peace and contentment because we make better choices by picking up our cross and following Him. He also provides for all our needs.

It’s about faith and asking with a right motive.

Friends, my encouragement today is to stand on faith and trust that we are where God wants us to be until He manifests our next step.

Abundant blessings and sleep well tonight!

As always, your thoughts are welcome. (smile)

It

A friend is someone who knows you as you are, understands where you’ve been, accepts what you’ve become and still gently invites you to grow.
~ Author Unknown ~

Hello friends. (smile) I’m serving up a little humor today about one of my “its.” Remember, “it” will be different for each of us. One of my “its” is procrastination about chores. Ugh.

I stepped out of my comfort zone today and it rained because a friend and I cleaned my house. Praise The Lord! Thanks Cinderella!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2015/01/img_0773.jpg
The queen of procrastination surrendered to discipline and did it. Top to bottom of my own free will. Sometimes, we can run from the stuff that isn’t interesting to do or find every excuse to procrastinate.

Today, Every chore was touched, except laundry. Maybe tomorrow. (wink)

To be honest, I usually say “maybe tomorrow” and it gets done whenever. I share all of this because God has been using family and friends to change my mind set about chores. Thank you, Lord. He gave them wisdom to encourage instead of harp and push. (smile)

Today, there was no game playing. No TV. I was unplugged to do chores. We did get lunch. (smile) Gotta eat!

At times, God leads the last person we would expect to nudge us forward. So there was growth in completing chores! (smile) Praise The Lord and Cinderella’s obedience.

Abundant blessings, my friends, as we continue to grow in our “it” area. Sleep well tonight!

Feel free to share your “it.” (smile)

Contentment While Waiting

Once we discover how to appreciate the timeless values in our daily experiences, we can enjoy the best things in life.
~ Harry Hepner ~

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
~ Philippians 4:10-12 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Contentment is a good habit to acquire. To be content while waiting is endurance. It’s even more powerful, to do, by faith.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2015/01/img_0770.jpg
A season, of anything, can be challenging. Waiting can be brutal. Here’s the beauty, seasons are temporary and waiting builds patience.

That thing, that stuff or that Y is temporary. Until it serves its purpose, it will be around . Keep in mind, it will be different for everyone. Similar, yet different.

Get faith. Get content. Get patience. Get self-discipline. Got fruit? (wink)

Being able to find contentment comes when we focus on God and the blessings that He provides.

Being able to find contentment comes when we realize it is, what it is. Adapt and adjust and hashtag careless can work wonders. (grin)

It’s liberating to free the mind from angst that amounts to nothing. Put “it” at the foot of the cross and be content until we walk through it. Keep the faith.

We may still fail a test moment at the circus; regardless, praise God for His mercy and His grace because at the end of the day, we’re still standing!

Abundant blessings, my friends, as we acquire the habit of contentment, by faith, while waiting for our break through. Praise The Lord!

Your thoughts or comments are always welcome. (smile)

Happy New Year

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
~ Romans 8:28-29 ~

A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him or her.
~ David Brinkley ~

Happy New Year, my friends. (smile) This is my fifth time participating in BlogHer’s National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo).

I have yet to complete a whole month. (shock face) That changes today. (smile)

The Lord renewed my confidence and courage, to come here and write, by reminding me that I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me. Thank you, Lord.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2015/01/img_0769-0.jpg
So I share this same blessing with you. Be you, because you can do all things through Christ…. and only you can tell your story.

The theme for January’s NaBloPoMo is Habit. Oh the fun we can have with habits. (wink)

Stay tuned, it going to be interesting and encouraging!

I stopped making New Years resolutions years ago. It caused too much angst when I failed.

Here are some things I learned about failures:

Sometimes God has something better.

Sometimes, failure launches us toward our destiny.

Sometimes, failure is God’s will for that season because our motive is wrong.

Sometimes failure brings maturity and spiritual growth.

Sometimes, failure makes us humble.

Sometimes, faith is born out of failure.

Life is about sharing to help and encourage one another. It’s what The Lord leads me to do.

I’m just a humble vessel giving glory to my Lord and Saviour through obedience. Thank you Lord.

So friends, let’s have faith that 2015 is the year that God will bless us abundantly using all things to get us where we need to be! Praise The Lord. (smile)

As always, feel free to share your thoughts. (smile)

All the Writing Questions (A Blog Hop)

My beautiful friend, Shade, who blogs at Prophetic Voice, invited me to this blog hop. Shade is an awesome blogger. I encourage you to visit her blog.

The idea of this blog hop is to answer 4 questions and then introduces 3 blogging friends of your choice. You would then post on your blog your answers to the 4 questions and introduce your three blogger friends in the post.

Please take a look at this link for an example of how it works.

http://aliajoy.com/writing-questions-blog-hop/

Unfortunately, I did not coordinate to get 3 blogging friends, in time, so my answers to the questions are as follows:

IMG_0692.JPG
1) What am I writing or working on?

I am writing a spiritual book, plus posting to my blog, almost daily. I have a general idea of what I want to put in the book. Still bouncing back and forth with merging chapters.

I’m a member and post monthly to the Insecure Writer’s Support Group (IWSG). Its also a blog hop. IWSG post the first Wednesday of the month and I participate off and on for the Two Cents Tuesday Challenge.

Currently, I am having faith that I will complete the September National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) hosted by BlogHer.

2) How does my work differ from others of it’s genre?

My work is not in any specific genre. I mostly write in the category of spiritual and life things and stuff. I’m still shocked that I continue to blog.

3) Why do I write what I write?

I write to encourage and help others. I write to share those difficult and challenging things that life throws at us; giving courage to keep the faith and roll with it. I write to share another perspective.

4) How does my process work?

I have no process these days. I’m thankful when words flow to complete a post! I keep the faith, trusting The Lord with words he pours into my heart to share.
