Celebrate Faith and Contentment

In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity.
~ Albert Einstein ~

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
~ Philippians 4:11-13 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome Lexa and co-hosts, L.G. Keltner @Writing Off The Edge and Tonja Drecker @Kidbits Blog, to another blessed Friday to celebrate the small things.

This week, Join me to celebrate faith and contentment. It’s a beautiful thing to have faith and contentment in whatever season we’re walking or crawling through.

Remember, I love crawling through because it gives me rest in between challenges or Y moments. (wink) Praise The Lord.

Faith and contentment exemplify I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

The power of knowing I can walk or crawl through _________________ (fill in the blank) is liberating to being f r e e because we know who we are in Christ.

There are times, extra grace is needed, to maintain faith and a state of contentment, especially when waiting or stuck in a challenging environment or situation. Keep the faith, it’s temporary.

There are times, it’s painful, when faith is tested to maintain contentment, pause to breathe calmly and remember God’s faithfulness. Keep the faith, it passes. Praise The Lord.

Faith and contentment builds inner strength to show Jesus to a hurting world.

Abundant blessings, my friends, with faith and contentment to enjoy today.

Your comments or thoughts are welcome. (smile)

It only takes a simple attitude adjustment to build a little positivity, and little positivity is what makes great things possible.

The ABC’s of Faith

There’s a distinction between a spiritual and a worldly existence. Faith. Many things drive and contribute to life challenges. Victory comes when we realize ebbs and flows are temporary and it is, what it is. So count it all joy. (smile)

Ah, the blessing of a personal relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, and his daily mercy and grace, gives the ability to walk, crawl or baby step through seasons with the ABC’s of faith to count it all joy.
~ Ann V Friend ~

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
~ James 1:2-8 ~

Hello friends. (smile) As I say goodbye to 2015, I thank God for my faith in Him.  Throughout 2015, my faith was tested and retested.  Praise The Lord, faith and grace, to crawl and baby step my way through.

The ABC’s of faith is quite liberating to count it all joy, regardless of things and stuff or Y moments.

The ABCs of faith produce and sustain patience to run the race, while counting it all joy across temporary seasons of challenges.

Wisdom is faith in God that can make all things possible.

Keeping the faith speaks I can, I have and I will. Can I get a witness? (wink)

Abundant blessings my friends as we say adieu to 2015 and welcome to 2016. Happy New Year!

Feel free to share your 2015 comments or thoughts.

Celebrate TGIF

Appreciate the Unexpected.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome Lexa and co-hosts to another blessed Friday to celebrate the small things.

This week, I celebrate TGIF. Had a couple of emotional days. I refuse to beat myself up over it. Grace. Thank God for grace.

Loved

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
~ Psalm 23 ~

It’s a beautiful thing to realize just how precious and loved we truly are.

What a blessings!

IWSG Baby Steps

Even though they don’t have anything in common, doubt can be in a very big conflict with faith.
~ Unknown Author ~

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
~ 2 Corinthians 5:7 ~

Hello friends (smile) Wahoo, it’s the first Wednesday of the month where IWSG members are blessed to share our thoughts and support other writers.

I extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to Alex and our November co-hosts:

Tyrean Martinson http://tyreanswritingspot.blogspot.com/
Karen Walker http://karenfollowingthewhispers.blogspot.com/
Denise Covey http://dencovey.blogspot.com/
Stephen Tremp http://authorstephentremp.blogspot.com/

I usually write encouragement about keeping the faith walking or crawling through things and stuff or those Y moments.

I have an insecurity this month that makes me smile because its self imposed.

There are times I put too much pressure on myself to write.

There are times I doubt my ability to complete a month of continuous writing.

Still a no-go to complete NaBloPoMo for a whole month.

Yay, I did complete the 30 day A to Z Challenge, by the grace of God. (smile)

There are times I unplug to have peace of mind from writing.

Baby steps. Baby steps as my faith is tested is another way to keep moving forward.

I’m learning to baby step my way to write shorter posts some days.

I’m learning to baby step my way to a better writing plan. (wink)

It is, what it is, until it’s not.

Keeping the faith and baby steps help to calm my angst and breathe easier. (smile)

Blessings and enjoy your day!

Your comments or thoughts are welcome. (smile)

A Good Day

Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Practice The Pause

Practice the pause. When in doubt, pause.
When tired, pause. When angry, pause.
When stressed, pause. And whenever
You pause, pray.
~ Unknown Author ~

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
~ 1 Corinthians 10:13 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Praise The Lord for a new day of grace. By faith and encouragement, let’s practice the pause and pray moment by moment during challenges.

No need to stress about 2:00 pm when it’s only 6:00 am. Buttons getting pushed. Fill in the blank_______________.

Breathe and practice the pause. God is faithful to help us through.

It’s a choice. It’s spiritual. It’s a blessing to let it go.

No one nor anything is worth unnecessary angst. Breathe deeply and practice the pause, pray and keep the faith. (wink)

Abundant blessings as we enjoy this day and practice the pause.

Your comments or thoughts are welcome. (smile)

Wisdom

Knowledge is knowing what to say. Wisdom is knowing whether or not to say.
~ Unknown Author ~

To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:  To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
~ Proverbs 1:2-7 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well in your world and you’re keeping the faith. (wink)

I’ve been walking and crawling through stuff as my faith and prayers were tested. Thank God, all is well in my world. (smile)

Praise The Lord for his mercy and grace.

I’ve been reflecting on different and the words we speak that reinforce what we believe and create havoc with our thoughts.

Some days are not pretty. Some days are emotional. Some days bring tears. Some days are priceless. Temporary distractions, like change, can make us grow or keep us stuck.

Wisdom is knowing the difference. I’ve mentioned my love of the Book of Proverbs. It’s informative. It’s individual choices. It’s life apart from worldly opinions.

Wisdom brings with spiritual maturity.
Wisdom helps to adapt and adjustment.
Wisdom knows the power of listening.

Wisdom is the blessings of knowing change comes whether we want it or not. It’s inevitable.

To know our quirks and buttons is wisdom. To understand ourself keeps us moving forward to grow and release anything or everything.

A new day to let go. A good evening to sleep well tonight.

That’s wisdom by faith.

Blessings, my friends, as we have wisdom to let go and embrace positive changes.

Your comments or thoughts are welcome. (smile)

IWSG Faith Through Disappointments

Don’t worry about how things might turn out. Just remember that nothing came to those who didn’t try.
~ Unknown Author ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to our IWSG September co-hosts:

We all experience disappointments from time to time.

Disappointments can be unsettling to the psyche. Disappointments can cause us to question why or doubt. Sometimes, its timing.

Like failures, disappointments can be a blessings. Both bring an adjustment, revamp or open door that evolves to something better.

Patience is required through most things in life.

We’re blessed when we keep the faith to try and try again.

Faith through disappointments become easier to understand when we realize how God can work all things out.

Most times, he has something better. Thank you Lord.

Blessings, as we have faith through disappointments.   It will all work out.

Faith To Release Everything

It might take a year, it might take a day, but what’s meant to be will always find it’s way.
~ Unknown Author ~

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
~ Jeremiah 32:27 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well in your world. Faith to release everything is a choice.

There are times, a specific prayer brings the breakthrough.

There is nothing to hard for God. Nothing. Praise The Lord.

Abundant blessings to keep the faith to release everything.

Faith To Sleep Well Tonight

One day at a time–this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.
~ Ida Scott Taylor ~

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope:  and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
~ Romans 5:1-5 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Praise The Lord, at the end, of the day, we’re still standing or sitting with faith.

His mercy and grace abounding.

Blessings friends, as we release stuff, with faith to sleep well tonight.

May God Remove

It only takes a simple attitude adjustment to build a little positivity, and little positivity is what makes great things possible.
~ Unknown Author ~

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration where the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve throne, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

And every one that forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
~ Matthew 19:26-30 ~

Hello friends. Sometimes, adjustment is wisdom, in action, because it is, what it is.

Especially when we breathe and practice the pause during challenges.

Abundant blessings and keep the faith.

Celebrate Smiles

A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.

None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away.

Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.
~ Unknown Author ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome Lexa and co-hosts to another blessed Friday to celebrate the small things.

This week, I celebrate smiles. Both giving and receiving smiles.

Thank you Lord for the beautiful gift and blessing of smiles.

There are times a smile can make us light up like a Christmas tree.

There are times, when pushed and tested, a smile can change our focus.

There are times, a thought brings a smile.

There are times, a smile disarms our enemies. (wink)

Wahoo, here is something to do. (grin)

There are times, ___________________ (fill in the blank) brings a smile.

Aah, made you think. (smile)

Blessings with a smile, my friends, as we keep the faith to enjoy giving and receiving smiles today.

Feel free to share your thoughts.

IWSG Faith To Believe

Learn to limit yourself, to content yourself with some definite thing, and some definite work; dare to be what you are, and learn to resign with a good grace all that you are not, and to believe in your own individuality.

~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends and welcome to IWSG August hosts. (smile)  Today’s message is simple.

IWSG Misdirection

Hello friends. (smile) A belated welcome to our June IWSG Host and Co-hosts.

Misdirection is irrelevant things and stuff or Y’s wanting something that’s really nothing but takes up all your time.

Sometimes misdirection is what if drills.
Sometimes misdirection interrupts our ability to run the race.
Sometimes misdirection can take up the whole day.
Sometimes misdirection is a test.
Sometimes misdirection can drive someone nuts!

Misdirection is prevalent at the circus.

Working full time and trying to write toward the end of a work day is challenging.  Just keep the faith to run the race.

Keep the faith walking through misdirection because at the end, of the day, sleep comes easy and ah what a blessing! Praise The Lord.

Your thoughts are always welcome.

Faith to Run The Race

The greatest act of faith some days is to simply get up and face another day.”
~ Amy Gatliff ~

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
~ Hebrews 11:1-3 ~

Hello friends. (smile) I’m off schedule and late posting again today. Whoops.

I see run the race with many possibilities. At least 28 days, of possibilities, will finish the month. (wink)

Praise The Lord for giving me vigor to keep writing. Wahoo, something to do. (smile)Here is where my creativity and imagination met. (grin)

The possibilities, to run the race, will be a used as a metaphor–the way I use the circus. Oooh, the possibilities. (wink)

Facing a day, by faith, to run the race, while walking through can really be a blessings.

Blessings, my friends, as we keep the faith to run the race. (smile)

Feel free to share your thoughts.

Ready, Set, Go

There is no safest place in this world than that peaceful world you created with your imagination. There is no safest relationship in this life than your own relationship with yourself.
~ Unknown Author ~

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
~ 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 ~

Hello friends. (smile) I’m walking on the wild side again. Wahoo, something to do. (wink)

It is my faith to participate and compete the BlogHer’s June National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) without quitting.

The theme for June is Ready, Set, Go.So, we’ll see how creative I can be with the ready, set, go theme, as we keep the faith to run the race.

Blessings, my friends and sleep well tonight. (smile)

Feel free to share your thoughts.

Be The Reason

IWSG Don’t Mind Criticism

IMG_0340.JPG
Even if you are not the best, you are better than those who never try.
~ Author Unknown ~

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
~ Romans 14:19 ~

Hello friends. (smile) I extend a warm welcome to Alex Cavanaugh and the IWSG September co-hosts, Laura at My Baffling Brain, Mark Koopmans, Shah Wharton, and Sheena-Kay Graham.

IWSG celebrates their three year anniversary of posting! Wahoo, Happy Anniversary! (smile)

Don’t mind criticism is my encouragement this month. What wisdom in the criticism quote below. I like it. (wink)

Something new to practice! (smile)

IMG_0480.JPG
Sometimes, we have to wonder about the motives behind those who love to criticize others. (shock face) Free will, I suppose.

Believing in our abilities, where we know that we know, helps to deflect criticism. This is where faith and confidence grows, each time, we do our own thing, regardless of critics.

Sometimes, criticism is a good thing. It forces us out, of our comfort zone, to bigger and better opportunities.

Remember Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Sometimes, God has something better. Wahoo, thank you Lord!

Blessings, my friends, by faith, as we look at criticism from a different perspective and as Alex likes to remind us–have fun along the way. (smile)

Discipline

Roll with it.
~ AF~

Hello friends. (smile) I’m walking on the wild side, by participating, once again in the National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) hosted by BlogHer.

I’m going to have faith that I’ll finish the month this time. (smile) Keeping the faith and building my courage up for the big writing challenge coming in November. (shock face)

The theme for September’s NaBloPoMo is healing. The neat thing about participating is that they provide writing prompts or we can write about anything; as long as we post daily. (wink)

IMG_0792.JPG
Discipline. Participating will help discipline my time for writing and meet other bloggers. I have found that I do better when I have a challenge with a timeframe. (wink)

I may have to reduce myself to one game I can play a day. (shock face) Withdrawals to one game with no baby steps. Ugh!

How about you, any discipline challenges?

Faith. I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me. Praise The Lord. (smile)

Blessings, my friends, as you enjoy Labor Day festivities or just relax doing something fun. (smile)

Choices

Don’t let people drive you crazy when you know it’s in walking distance. ~Author Unknown~

A humor quote to start the day. (smile) I’m a bit sluggish at the moment. My energy level was depleted yesterday on things and stuff. (smile) I forgot to roll with it!

Choices. Unless, we live on a secluded island alone, there will always be something or someone trying our patience. (shock face)

20140306-033903.jpg
Of all the spiritual fruit, I believe patience is tested more, followed by temperance. (gritted teeth) Traffic, long lines in the store, trying to button that last button, when in a rush, or fill in the blank_____________.

Recently, I’ve found, if I do the opposite of what I feel, it’s a win for that moment. Just remember to breathe calmly before speaking or just smile. Either one changes the focus. (smile)

Sometimes, aha moments come by making a different choice. Sometimes, things are simpler than we realize. At times, we over think things. (smile) It is what, it is. (smile)

Here’s the challenge, when you’re tired or hungry, all bets could be off. (shock face) It’s like x, y and z come to push and push. You think, ok, feeling a little pressed then something comes, then another and another…

Here is where choices come into play. Free will. Spirit over Flesh. It’s a prettier situation to make the spiritual choice. (smile) Thank God for His mercy and grace when we don’t!

Be blessed, stay calm because it is, what it is. (smile) As always, your thoughts are welcome. (smile)

Things About Me

Things about me. I love reading, music and playing games on my IPHONE. (smile) God blessed me with the gift of encouragement, ways to sow His Word, a sense of humor and a beautiful smile. (cheesy smile)

I’m an introvert by preference. (shock face) I’ve learned to adapt and adjust in situations and through the storms of life, it’s how “roll with it” and “let it go” became sound bites for me. The joy of The Lord is my strength. (smile)

20140303-173459.jpg
Like many others out there, I’ve had a difficult season to walk through. I was never alone. I love how my Lord and Saviour protects and takes care of me. (smile) I pray a lot. I pray for each of you. (smile)

I thank God for the courage to write and be different. There will always be someone who needs a kind word or courage to be their self.

I am grateful for the awesome people I’ve met through blogging. I am humbled by your words of encouragement back to me. (smile) God bless you!

I love blogging and writing, for the different writing forums, because it’s a way to sow encouragement and hope to someone who may or may not know they are not alone or the next step. I am a humble and nice person who tries to visit and support many different bloggers. (smile)

I blog from my own personal experiences in hope that someone finds comfort and gets to know God, through His Son, Jesus, like I know Him. (smile)

I sow and God waters. I’m an open vessel about my Father’s business. ( smile) I hope this gives you more insight into Ann Friend.

Be blessed! (smile) As always, your thoughts are welcome.
