Psalm 119:153-160 – RESH

Besides comfort, there is perseverance in the Book of Psalms. God is a great vindicator, when we cast our cares to him.

Two more and we’re through with Psalm 119.

RESH
153 Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.
154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.
155 Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.
156 Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.

157 Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.
158 I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.
159 Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.
160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
Psalm 119:153-160

Four scripture references to verses:

Verse 156

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.

Psalm 119:2-16 – BETH

Lately, I’m finding comfort in the Book of Psalms.

Psalm 119 is the longest Psalm and chapter in the Bible. My twentieth favorite Psalm. (wink)

Psalm 119 is a repetitive meditation of God’s Word using the Hebrew alphabet for the twenty-two sections, eight lines each.

BETH
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
~ Psalm 119:2-16 ~

~ 1 Kings 8:25

Thought For Today – Never Alone

Take comfort in knowing God is omnipresent. This means, he’s with me and he’s with you. We’re never alone no matter where we go. What comfort.

It’s a good day to have a good day because we’re never alone. (wink)

Abundant blessings, everyone, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

They Say There Is A Reason

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
~ Matthew 5:4 ~

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
~ Romans 12:15 ~

Hello friends. Everyday, that God wakes us up is a blessings. Life is precious, no matter where we are in life. This beautiful quote is in loving memory for loved ones, no longer with us.

One of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing passed away recently and his funeral is today. He always had a smile and was kind to everyone.

Yesterday, as I was reading about his service, I thought about his wife and children, his friends and other family members and I prayed the most heartfelt and sincere prayer for them and any others I may not know about that God comfort and wrap His love around them.

Then I remembered other friends and coworkers still mourning the loss of love ones.

I was blessed to find this beautiful quote to share and I pray it brings comfort to all. Thank you Lord.

Blessings.

Comfort

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
~ 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ~

Hello friends (smile) It’s a beautiful thing to know someone cares. That’s what comfort does. Sometimes, comfort comes from unexpected opportunities that form new bonds and connections. (smile)

Sometimes, comfort is simply listening. Sometimes, comfort is knowing we’re not the only one going through _________________(fill in the blank).

Regardless of our spiritual maturity, life brings things and stuff. It’s a beautiful thing to give and receive comfort when needed, especially through our prayers. (smile)

Personally, I find comfort in prayer. Praying is giving it all to God, even tears.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m always grateful when God sends someone my way, when I am truly struggling. Thank you Lord.

Bottom line, prayers activate our trust and faith in God to move in mighty ways. (smile) Praise The Lord.

Comfort is a blessing that pay dividends and glorifies God.

Comfort is a little thing that means so much when it comes unexpectedly.

I also like to send a shout out to my friend CW, you and your family are in my prayers. (smile)

Blessings, my friends, as we comfort one another. (smile)

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend! (smile)
