Happy IWSG Day, where we share and support all about writing. Welcome Alex and our February Co-hosts: Raimey Gallant, Natalie Aguirre, CV Grehan, and Michelle Wallace!

I’ve been posting 52 days straight. Thanks for the wonderful encouragement along the way!

OPTIONAL IWSG Day Question: Besides writing, what other creative outlets do you have?

At this time, the only creative outlet I have is creating a new life somewhere else.  Praise The Lord, I’ve been pardoned!

Wahoo, I’m blessed to retire, from the circus, and relocate in ninety-nine days, to anywhere USA. (wink)

Oh, the possibilities. Now the real fun begins……

Abundant blessing and make it a great IWSG day!

I believe the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

IWSG Questions About Writing

Happy New Year everyone. Welcome Alex and January Co-hosts: Patricia Lynne, Lisa Buie-Collard, Kim Lajevardi, and Fundy Blue, to the Insecure Writer’s Support Group (IWSG), where we share and support all about writing.

OPTIONAL IWSG Day Question: What are your favorite and least favorite questions people ask you about your writing?

To be honest, I have no least or favorite questions asked about my writing. Keeps me neutral. (wink)

It’s the only way to keep my sanity and confidence as a writer.

It comes down to perspective, questions asked and answered are opinions.

Opinions can build up or tear down.

I had to learn opinions is information to accept or reject.

Make it a great IWSG day!

Abundant blessings, everyone, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts.

IWSG What Steps Have You Taken

All things have a perfect place in life.  Joy is balanced by sorrow.  Day by night.  Giving by receiving. Wisdom by humility. The secret of life is balance, living in harmony and honor with that which surrounds you.
~ The Ancient One ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends and Happy New Year. (smile) It’s the first Wednesday, of the month, where the Insecure Writer’s Support Group (IWSG) share and support one another.

Welcome Alex and January IWSG Co-hosts: Tyrean Martinson, The Cynical Sailor, Megan Morgan, Rachna Chhabria, and Jennifer Lane.

OPTIONAL IWSG Day Question: What steps have you taken to put a schedule in place for your writing and publishing?

Another good question. (wink) Finding balance, in the waking hours, of a day, encourages me to keep the faith. Eventually, all the pieces will come together.

A reminder, the circus pays the rent and provides meals to keep me moving, when I’m not sleeping. (smile) Praise The Lord.

I’m patiently content with taking baby steps until I can balance everything else. Patiently contentment is a good place to be. It’s steady state regardless of (fill in the blank) ____________________.

My problem is organizing writing time on a schedule.Ha, it’s been difficult to stay on any schedule with demands all around. When I do find a few free minutes, writing hasn’t made the priority slot. Wahoo, something to work toward.

I’m encouraged this too shall pass, just not today. Maybe tomorrow (grin)

Until next month, abundant blessings, my friends because the just does everything by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

IWSG Embrace Criticism

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.
~ Author Unknown ~

Hello friends. (smile) It’s the first Wednesday, of the month, where the Insecure Writer’s Support Group (IWSG) share and support one another. Welcome Alex and November IWSG Co-hosts: Tonja Drecker, Diane Burton,  MJ Fifield, and Rebecca Douglass!

This month, I share encouragement to embrace criticism. Criticism is useful when motives are right. Accept or reject is a choice.

Sometimes, criticism can be brutal. Sometimes, we internalize or overthink criticism. There are times, criticism helps.

Removing feelings from the equation, realizes criticism does not change who we are or our abilities. Here is the take away, when you know who you are and your abilities, hearing or reading criticism can be embraced. It’s an acquired process.

The upside to criticism:

Count it all joy – continues to try
Run with patience your race – perseverance
I can do all things through Christ – endures
To everything, there is a season – resilience
Iron sharpenenth iron – mentally strong
Continue in faith – abides
Inner man strength – abounding
Strong in The Lord – maintains
More than a conqueror – survivor

Abundant blessings, my friends because the just does everything by faith. Praise The Lord. Enjoy the rest of your week!

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

Abundant blessings, my friends because the just does everything by faith. Praise The Lord. Enjoy your weekend!

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

IWSG August 2nd – What Are Your Pet Peeves

Some books leave us free and some books make us free.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
~ Romans 15:4 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well and you’re keeping the faith. (wink) Yay, its the first Wednesday of the month where we share…

Welcome Alex and August IWSG Co-hosts: Christine Rains, Dolarah @ Book Lover, Ellen @ The Cynical Sailor, Yvonne Ventresca, and LG Keltner.

IWSG Day Question: What are your pet peeves when reading/writing/editing?

I could have fun sharing about pet peeves. (smile)

I must share pertaining to reading/writing/editing. (wink)

Like everything else in life, learning to adapt and adjust brings contentment.

I love reading. I love writing. I’ve been in a season where time gets away from me. I blink and another month has passed.

It’s extremely busy at the circus.

As we age, adapting and adjusting is a blessing.

Praise The Lord for rest and peaceful sleep.

I’m encouraged with hope and faith the circus busyness slows down….

Abundant blessings, my friends, because the just does everything by faith. Enjoy the rest of your week.

IWSG July 5th – One Valuable Lesson Learned

Whatever may be our natural talents, the art of writing is not acquired all at once.
~Jean-Jacques Rousseau ~

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
~ Philippians 4:13 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well and you’re keeping the faith. (wink) Yay, its the first Wednesday of the month where we share…

Welcome Alex and July IWSG Co-hosts: Tamara Narayan, Pat Hatt, Patricia Lynne, Juneta Key and Doreen McGettigan.

IWSG Day Question:  What is one valuable lesson you’ve learned since you started writing?

I love the quote above. Writing has been an ebb and flow learning experience. I believe we learn by repetition. I believe encouragement is the greatest blessing we can give one another.

I’ve learned many things the last four years as a writer.  Still struggle with the rules.  Bygones.

I’m blessed to be a part of two awesome and established writer groups.  Both groups have published authors.

I’ve grown in my creative writing ability. (wink) Praise The Lord.

The one valuable lesson I’ve learned is confidence in my own writing style. I stumbled into finding my writer’s voice.

Thank you, friends, for the encouragement, it kept me from the “q” word. Bygones. (wink)

So the plan is to keep writing and moving forward until my book is finished because I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Abundant blessings, my friends, because the just does everything by faith. Enjoy the rest of your week.

IWSG June 7th Question: Did You Ever Say “I Quit”?

If there is no struggle, there is no progress.
~ Frederick Douglass ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well and you’re keeping the faith. (wink) I’m just a bit late for the first Wednesday of the month. Alex, may I get a C for effort? (wink)

Hello to our June IWSG Co-hosts:

JH Moncrieff
Madeline Mora-Summonte
Jen Chandler
Megan Morgan
Heather Gardner

IWSG Day Question: Did you ever say “I quit”? If so, what happened to make you come back to writing?

Yes, the words, I quit, I’m DONE have left my mouth many times. Frustrations and struggles. Not enough time. Things that mount up to distractions. I believe these things serve a purpose.

Walking away, has been a form of quitting for me. Timing is everything. Self-encouragement helps. Refocus is key. Sometimes, its just a schism……

I quit, and I always come back. (smile)

Abundant blessings, my friends, because the just does everything by faith. Enjoy your blessed weekend.

IWSG The Blessing to Keep Writing

I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.
~ Thomas Edison ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Wahoo, its IWSG day. The first Wednesday, of the month, where we share. (grin)

Welcome Alex and May co-hosts: Michelle Wallace, Nancy Gideon, Tamara Narayan, Liesbet@Roaming About and Feather Stone. Hope all is well and you’re keeping the faith.

Distractions. Time. Challenges. Many things can deter writing.

There are times, changing perspective on how we see is a blessing. (wink)

The blessing to keep writing strengthen the ability to persevere, even when the ebb and flow comes.

The blessing to keep writing builds endurance to hang in there.

The blessing to keep writing is encouragement not to quit. At least, we trying.

The blessing to keep writing ___________ (fill in the blank).

No matter what, it’s not failure, it’s finding what works for you. At the end, of the day, we’re still standing, sitting or squatting strong. (wink)   The power, of faith, to move forward.

What faith and encouragement can do is a blessing. Thank you Lord.

Abundant blessings, my friends because the just does everything by faith. Praise The Lord.

IWSG Encouraged That I Can

Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.
~ Henry Ford ~

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
~ Philippians 4:13 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome Alex and March co-hosts to the first Wednesday of the month where we share….

Hope all is well in your world. (wink)

Thank God, my eyes adjusted to my two-in-one prescription glasses. Ugh, it’s been hoot! I’m thinking about getting a t-shirt that says objects are closer than I can gauge. (smile)

I was encouraged to keep wearing the glasses. I told myself, yes, I can do this.

It’s a beautiful and powerful attribute to encourage ourself, and one another.

Many times, it’s our self-talk that stops us. Life ebbs and flows and what we speak is enough to appreciate self-encouragement and encouragement to and from others.

I believe the ability to encourage ourself is empowering. It builds self-confidence when surrounded by negativity.

The ability to encourage “I can” and “you can” to someone can change anything.

Encouraged that I can write.
Encouraged that I can heal.
Encouraged that I can hope.

Encouraged that I can ___________ (fill in the blank).

Encouraged that I can keep the faith.

Encouraged that I can has unlimited possibilities.

Believe it, by faith, until you know, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Praise The Lord.

Abundant blessings, my friends because the just does everything by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

IWSG January 4 Question

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
~ Anonymous ~

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
~ 2 Corinthians 5:7 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well. Thank God, we’re blessed to see another day. Wahoo, it’s the first Wednesday of the month where we share stuff. (wink)

Welcome Alex and January IWSG Co-hosts:

Eva @ Lillicasplace
Crystal Collier
Sheena-kay Graham
Chemist Ken
LG Keltner
Heather Gardner

January 4th Question: What writing rule do you wish you’d never heard? To be honest, most of them. For me, writing rules are great as a guide but……

Rules can take away “the write it, like you say it”. I like writing when I can experiment with injecting clean humor and fun metaphors.

Sharing thoughts, in our own style, is powerful for confidence; yet bring a pins and needles thought, what if no one likes it?

So what is my mantra today. Write anyway. (wink) It’s quite liberating and powerful self-encouragement.

Thank God, I have a paying day job. (whew)

Yes, I’m still learning and growing as a writer; someday, by faith, all those writing rules will come together, just not today. (smile)

Stay encouraged and keep the faith.

Abundant blessings, my friends because the just does everything by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

Self-encouragement and belief in our ability is powerful and builds confidence. Remembering that is a beautiful and powerful thing.

The ebbs and flows contribute to everything that keep us stuck or moving forward. It is, what it is. It’s a choice.

December 7th Question: In terms of your writing career, where do you see yourself five years from now, and what’s your plan to get there?

In five years, I see myself retired from the circus and enjoying life as a full time published author. How’s that for faith. (smile)

My plan is to just keep writing and honing my style. Finish my non-fiction book, embrace a full-time writing career and the blessing of being fabulous in my sixties. (wink)

Abundant blessings my friends, keep the faith and happy holidays!

IWSG Baby Steps

Even though they don’t have anything in common, doubt can be in a very big conflict with faith.
~ Unknown Author ~

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
~ 2 Corinthians 5:7 ~

Hello friends (smile) Wahoo, it’s the first Wednesday of the month where IWSG members are blessed to share our thoughts and support other writers.

I extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to Alex and our November co-hosts:

Tyrean Martinson http://tyreanswritingspot.blogspot.com/
Karen Walker http://karenfollowingthewhispers.blogspot.com/
Denise Covey http://dencovey.blogspot.com/
Stephen Tremp http://authorstephentremp.blogspot.com/

I usually write encouragement about keeping the faith walking or crawling through things and stuff or those Y moments.

I have an insecurity this month that makes me smile because its self imposed.

There are times I put too much pressure on myself to write.

There are times I doubt my ability to complete a month of continuous writing.

Still a no-go to complete NaBloPoMo for a whole month.

Yay, I did complete the 30 day A to Z Challenge, by the grace of God. (smile)

There are times I unplug to have peace of mind from writing.

Baby steps. Baby steps as my faith is tested is another way to keep moving forward.

I’m learning to baby step my way to write shorter posts some days.

I’m learning to baby step my way to a better writing plan. (wink)

It is, what it is, until it’s not.

Keeping the faith and baby steps help to calm my angst and breathe easier. (smile)

Blessings and enjoy your day!

Your comments or thoughts are welcome. (smile)

IWSG Faith Through Disappointments

Don’t worry about how things might turn out. Just remember that nothing came to those who didn’t try.

Like failures, disappointments can be a blessings. Both bring an adjustment, revamp or open door that evolves to something better.

Patience is required through most things in life.

We’re blessed when we keep the faith to try and try again.

Faith through disappointments become easier to understand when we realize how God can work all things out.

Most times, he has something better. Thank you Lord.

Blessings, as we have faith through disappointments.   It will all work out.

My Entry for the IWSG Anthology

IMG_0340.JPG (2).JPG

Hello friends and welcome to our Co-hosts for October:

Kristin Smith – http://swordsandstilettos.blogspot.com/
Elsie http://mockturtlemusings.com/
Suzanne Furness http://suzannefurness.blogspot.com/
Fundy Blue http://selkiegrey4.blogspot.com/

We all need encouragement in life. My post entry is to encourage anyone, out there, with a passion to write, to start writing. Just do it. The more you write, the better you get. Do it for yourself.

Writing can be a work of art. Writing can be an individual’s masterpiece. I’m an old school kinda girl, who believes that writing can be as unique and different as God created each of us to be. There is something beautiful about being free enough to write in your own style.

Writing takes patience. Writing takes confidence. Writing takes faith to believe in what we bring to the table as a writer. Writing can start by putting thoughts on a page. Writing can be our statement to the world as only we can tell it. Writing can be fact or fiction.

Its our choice. I choose to write about my spiritual journey and maturity in my Christian walk. I choose to share my unique personality in my own self expression. I encourage this same blessing to you.

Choosing to be an unique individual with your own voice is a beautiful thing. Choosing to be fearless in your unique expression is a beautiful thing to behold. Choosing your own writing preference is your choice.

I admire successful and published authors. They validate my faith that writing and completing a book is possible.

Start and have faith in your writing ability builds courage to keep writing until that book is finished.

Keep the faith to finish your book and find the right publisher!

So write and keep writing until you reach the end. Remember to laugh and have fun along the journey!

IWSG Don’t Mind Criticism

IMG_0340.JPG
Even if you are not the best, you are better than those who never try.
~ Author Unknown ~

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
~ Romans 14:19 ~

Hello friends. (smile) I extend a warm welcome to Alex Cavanaugh and the IWSG September co-hosts, Laura at My Baffling Brain, Mark Koopmans, Shah Wharton, and Sheena-Kay Graham.

IWSG celebrates their three year anniversary of posting! Wahoo, Happy Anniversary! (smile)

Don’t mind criticism is my encouragement this month. What wisdom in the criticism quote below. I like it. (wink)

Something new to practice! (smile)

IMG_0480.JPG
Sometimes, we have to wonder about the motives behind those who love to criticize others. (shock face) Free will, I suppose.

Believing in our abilities, where we know that we know, helps to deflect criticism. This is where faith and confidence grows, each time, we do our own thing, regardless of critics.

Sometimes, criticism is a good thing. It forces us out, of our comfort zone, to bigger and better opportunities.

Remember Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Sometimes, God has something better. Wahoo, thank you Lord!

Blessings, my friends, by faith, as we look at criticism from a different perspective and as Alex likes to remind us–have fun along the way. (smile)

My very first post, as a member of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group. I am honored and humbled to be part of a talented pool of writers. I have been blogging about six months. Each day, I have faith that my words will help someone. Times are tough and we all need encouragement to do what we do! 😀

Faith and courage are important in expressing ourselves. We must believe in ourself and our abilities. We all bring something to the table. It is always nice when others encourage us.

There is a vulnerability about sharing our life, goals, thoughts on paper. There will always someone who may not agree with our thoughts. That’s ok, we just have to let it go and move on.

This is where courage and knowing who we are comes unto play. When we know who we are, we can easily understand that it’s not about convincing someone that we’re right and they’re wrong. When we know who we are, there is a confidence and maturity to know everything is not about us.

We all have a story. We communicate differently. It’s liberating to have the freedom to write. It is always amazing when you publish a post and people actually like it! 😀

It’s a beautiful thing to express ourselves and someone provides positive feedback. A little bit of encouragement can go along way. In the various seasons of life, we experience things from different levels. To express our experiences, with others can be quite remarkable. Things in life can be tough. It’s always exciting when someone shares what they went through and it helps others. No matter what we are going through, we are never alone.

Things and stuff. Things and stuff is different for everyone. It’s always refreshing when someone provides an answer to our things and stuff. I am taking about how to handle things and stuff. I have found in my Christian walk that sometimes, we don’t know the next step or can’t see a way to move forward. Lots of times, we remain stuck because it’s comfortable. To grow and mature requires we look to ourself first. Nobody likes change. Change is also a part of life that moves us forward whether we like it or not.

To be continued next month. 😁

Being able to participant with other writers is a win win. Thanks Alex and God bless you for creating and bringing such talented writers into one place. 😀
