Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well in your world. Welcome Alex and December IWSG Co-hosts:
Self-encouragement and belief in our ability is powerful and builds confidence. Remembering that is a beautiful and powerful thing.
The ebbs and flows contribute to everything that keep us stuck or moving forward. It is, what it is. It’s a choice.
December 7th Question: In terms of your writing career, where do you see yourself five years from now, and what’s your plan to get there?
In five years, I see myself retired from the circus and enjoying life as a full time published author. How’s that for faith. (smile)
My plan is to just keep writing and honing my style. Finish my non-fiction book, embrace a full-time writing career and the blessing of being fabulous in my sixties. (wink)
Abundant blessings my friends, keep the faith and happy holidays!

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

October 5th Question: When do you know your story is ready?
Ah, the possibilities to answer this question comes down to perspective and how we choose to share it. (smile)
Blogging a post is my metaphor for story.
I know a post is ready when the intent of my thoughts come together.
Intent being sharing experiences, offering encouragement to keep hope and faith, in spite of opinions that may discourage us from _______________ (fill in the blank).
I know self-encouragement is powerful to continue writing and sharing our work.
I believe when others encourage us, it’s validation to never give up.
Abundant blessings, my friends, as we keep the faith and tell our story, as only we can. (wink)
I would love to hear your thoughts.

Sometimes, we doubt our ability to write. More often than not, it starts from a thought or comment made that we internalize. Things, we entertain in our minds, can drive us nuts or worst, block our writing creativity.
Recently, this has happened to me. My thoughts were all over the place! To be honest, it’s so easy to put pressure on ourselves to think we have do everything in one day. Sometimes, we have to ask ourself, do I have to blog everyday? Just keeping up with emails and comments can bring a challenge. Add in visiting all the blogs, we follow…thus doubting thoughts. I unplugged from all electronic devices for a few day just to get a handle on things and stuff in my life!
When my thoughts were all over the place, I got a little frustrated so I wrote down every silly thought. Then I just read them over and started revising the negative statements into positive statements. Now I had positive stuff to write from a different perspective. I encourage you to try it. (smile)
Balance, finding balance is necessary and as Alex says “have fun” (smile) At least, once a week, lighten up and laugh and have fun doing something that is not writing. (smile)
After a break, with a fresh mind, words will flow!
I have faith, someday, we’ll all write a masterpiece! (smile)
Keep the faith and write. Hang in there and write. Smile and write. Have fun and write. Do what we do and write!
My very first post, as a member of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group. I am honored and humbled to be part of a talented pool of writers. I have been blogging about six months. Each day, I have faith that my words will help someone. Times are tough and we all need encouragement to do what we do! 😀
Faith and courage are important in expressing ourselves. We must believe in ourself and our abilities. We all bring something to the table. It is always nice when others encourage us.
There is a vulnerability about sharing our life, goals, thoughts on paper. There will always someone who may not agree with our thoughts. That’s ok, we just have to let it go and move on.
This is where courage and knowing who we are comes unto play. When we know who we are, we can easily understand that it’s not about convincing someone that we’re right and they’re wrong. When we know who we are, there is a confidence and maturity to know everything is not about us.
We all have a story. We communicate differently. It’s liberating to have the freedom to write. It is always amazing when you publish a post and people actually like it! 😀
It’s a beautiful thing to express ourselves and someone provides positive feedback. A little bit of encouragement can go along way. In the various seasons of life, we experience things from different levels. To express our experiences, with others can be quite remarkable. Things in life can be tough. It’s always exciting when someone shares what they went through and it helps others. No matter what we are going through, we are never alone.
Things and stuff. Things and stuff is different for everyone. It’s always refreshing when someone provides an answer to our things and stuff. I am taking about how to handle things and stuff. I have found in my Christian walk that sometimes, we don’t know the next step or can’t see a way to move forward. Lots of times, we remain stuck because it’s comfortable. To grow and mature requires we look to ourself first. Nobody likes change. Change is also a part of life that moves us forward whether we like it or not.
To be continued next month. 😁
Being able to participant with other writers is a win win. Thanks Alex and God bless you for creating and bringing such talented writers into one place. 😀
