Trust

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
~ Psalms 118:8 ~

And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
~ Luke 18:27 ~

Hello friends. (smile) To have faith and trust in The Lord is a beautiful thing. Trust.

Once upon a time, I had trust issues with everything and everyone, until I learned to put my trust in God, through His Son, Jesus. Trust.

Broken trust can devastate anyone. Having faith to trustGod because there is nothing nor anyone bigger than Him brings comfort. Trust.

Roll With It Wednesday

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
~ Philippians 4:19 ~

Live in such a way that you would not be ashamed to sell your parrot to the town gossip. ~Will Rogers~

Hello friends. (smile) It’s roll with it Wednesday with a little humor. (wink) My message is short and sweet today. (smile) Roll with it!

Roll with it is similar to careless and letting it go. (smile)

IMG_0684.JPG
By faith, God has equipped us for everything we need to crawl, walk or run through this day. Roll with it!

Have faith, He will give wisdom with the right words needed for that big meeting.
Have faith, He will give courage to speak up.
Have faith, He will open a door to new opportunities.
Have faith, He will work all things out.
Have faith, He will _________________ (fill in the blank)

Say it with me, roll with it! (smile)

Today, I have to stand and mediate on Philippians 4:19 as I roll with it. My dental work resumes this afternoon. (shock face) Bottom teeth this round.

Praise The Lord, He delivered me from fear of the dentist. I just have angst over those needles! Ugh. Roll with it!

Please join me, in prayer agreement, by faith that God will provide calmness to endure the needles. (nervous smile) I humbly thank you in advance! Praise The Lord.

Blessings my friends, by faith, as we roll with it today! (big smile)

Understanding

Understanding is knowing things in their right relationship.
~Dictionary definition ~

Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
~ Proverbs 4:5-7 ~

Hello friends (smile) With wisdom comes understanding. My testing and retesting, of growth opportunities, has the fruit of patience within me multiplying exponentially. (nervous smile)

Today, I refused to be baited with idle words. Although I had to boldly talk loud a few times. Understanding and thanking God for His mercy and His grace!

This was another day to careless and leave the circus smiling. (wink)

IMG_0673.JPG
Understanding anything can be different for each of us.
Understanding that not everyone has experienced the same things in life.
Understanding that there is more than one way to accomplish something.
Understanding that there is uniqueness to each of us and in the way we communicate.
Understanding change starts with each of us.
Understanding life does go on whether we change or not.

Appreciate

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
~1 Thessalonians 5:18 ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Praise The Lord, my smile and sense of humor is back. (wink) My faith and trust in God gives me strength and courage each day to share what He pours into my heart.

I give a heartfelt thank you and abundant blessings to online and offline friends, for your prayers and encouragement during my challenges last week. {{hugs}}

I appreciate your thoughtfulness more than you could possibly know. By faith, I know God will bless each of you, in a mighty way, for your part in praying and encouraging the encourager. (smile)

IMG_0725.JPG
Sometimes, we forget to appreciate the little things.
Sometimes, we forget to appreciate the blessings that challenges bring.
Sometimes, we forget to appreciate that tears can be a blessing.

It’s a beautiful thing to bless others when we are hurting. I’ve been emotionally drained for a few weeks. By faith and God’s grace, I kept moving forward.

My emotions has been like a roller coaster ride since I got that ticket a few weeks back and realized the ticket was the blessings. (shock face)

The weight of God’s protection while I was unaware that I was driving on dry rotted tires, the sickness and pain that friends are going through; the death of friend; the challenges in my work environment, Friday night, I cried and prayed. I gave all that was hurting within my heart to God.

Praise God! He ministered and watered all the love and encouragement sown from you to me that I have a new appreciation of sharing my faith walk with others and ask for help when needed. To God be the glory!

Appreciate being different.
Appreciate those unexpected kind words.
Appreciate prayers.
Appreciate people’s time.
Appreciate smiling for no apparent reason.
Appreciate what we have.
Appreciate those who care.
Appreciate the ebbs and flows moments.
Appreciate (fill in the blank)______________.
Appreciate that God is still in charge and can work all things out.

So today, my friends, blessings as we appreciate each other and the things we share with one another. (smile)

Hang In There

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
~ Deuteronomy 31:6 ~

The best way to appreciate your job is to imagine yourself without one. ~ Oscar Wilde ~

Hello friends. (smile) Again, I thank God for friends who take the time to echo back encouragement. I pray God bless you in a mighty way.

IMG_0775.JPG
Sometimes, we’re suppose to ask for help.

Tuesday, I was about to quit my job! Just get my stuff and walk. (shock face)

We have free will to choose. Sometimes, when we allow the flesh to reign, even for a minute, the spirit side just waits us out. Singing, my theme song–going around the mountain, one more time. Ugh!

God led me to a friend who said hang in there. Don’t quit. God bless Him.

Little did I know that God would water those very words back to me days later.

The beautiful thing about having a personal and intimate relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus, is that He knows there are times we get frustrated or fill in the blank____________. We can tell Him everything. It is not a one sided relationship.

I love that He allows me to work my way back to Him when I get tired of that mountain. God knows, I’ll always return back to my spiritual nature and Him. This is what growing is all about. Knowing apart from Him, we can do nothing. Hang in there.

By faith, I have more spiritual fruit. Thank you Lord. Hang in there.

Again, another validation of Roman’s 8:28 that ups and downs bring balance and produces more spiritual fruit. All things! Hang in there.

God knows exactly what’s needed to get us where we need to be. Can I get an Amen! Hang in there.

Yesterday, the hits just kept on coming. Before, I could entertained any negative thought, God watered hang in there, don’t quit. I smiled as I remembered those words sown Tuesday. Glory to God!

Quitting is no longer an option. I do need to verbalized the inner thoughts that are wrecking havoc in my mind. Hang in there.

Sowing encouragement goes a long way to help one another when we are walking through. Even if we have to crawl. Hang in there.

I’ve been emotionally drained lately. Yesterday, I crawled, my way, through the brutal day with words from encouraging friends and the grace of God. Hang in there.

Thank you, friends, I was able to smile at the end of yesterday. Thank you Jesus!

I see my work challenges as training to produce more fruit within me and to ask for help when I need it. Hang in there.

I encourage anyone with work challenges to see it as a training opportunity that is developing more spiritual fruit. Hang in there.

I share all this because at the end of the day, by faith, life does go on. Hang in there.

Today, by faith, we’re armed with the full armor of God, our slingshot and a smile. The plan is to light up the joint with the joy of The Lord as our strength.

Blessings, my friends and keep the faith to hang in there. šŸ˜œ

Be Kind to Yourself

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~Romans 8:28~

Hello friends. Thank God for His mercy and His grace. Thank you Lord.

My patience is still being tested. (shock face) Ā  Trying to keep the faith!

Things and stuff. Ugh! X and Y challenges.

IMG_0738.JPG
Thank God for His mercy and His grace.

Sometimes, we’re tested from all sides that we can literally blink and get more frustrated or entertain a wrong thought that brings tears for no reason.

Be kind to ourself, in those moments, because, at the end, of the day, we survived and life goes on! Praise The Lord!

Being kind to ourself, when we are walking through or even when we stumble brings comfort that we are still blessed and God still loves us. Thank you Lord!

I thank God for friends. I thank God for those who pray for me. I thank God for the things and stuff producing more spiritual fruit in my life. Something else to do! Ain’t life grand! (wink)

Learning to change our perspective and take the day, moment by moment, can truly help.

Having faith that God can work all things out is wisdom enough to be kind to ourself because if The Lord says the same, there will be tomorrow!

Blessings, my friends, Ā as we keep the faith and be kind to ourself and sleep well tonight!

Please Pray With Me

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
~ Matthew 18:19 ~

Hello friends. Please join me in prayer for my beautiful and dear friend LTC Tomas DeLeon, his loving wife, and his son and daughter. Tomas has a cancerous tumor on his brain.

IMG_0670.JPG
God bless each of you adding your pray petition to mine, lifting LTC Tomas DeLeon and his family up in prayer.

Patience

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
~ James 1:4 ~

Hello friends. (smile) I believe next to long-suffering, patience is the fruit tested the most. (shock face)

Long lines. Traffic. Fill in the blank ____________. Waiting. They all test our patience.

IMG_0733.JPG
I believe there will always be retesting of our patience.

This week has been a little brutal on my patience. My energy level has been drained too!

I thanked God and left things at the foot of the cross. Patience. Got to love spiritual fruit. (wink)

How’s your patience level? (smile)

Ever feel like there is something in the air and things and stuff just keeps on coming? Patience.

Well friends, I need to reset, for a couple of days, and recharge my energy level. Too many withdrawals from my fun meter. (shock face)

Be blessed, have patience and keep the faith! Feel free to browse the website for earlier posts. (smile)

Hope

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
~ Proverbs 13:12 ~

What gives me the most hope every day is God’s grace; knowing that his grace is going to give me the strength for whatever I face, knowing that nothing is a surprise to God.
~ Rick Warren ~

Hello friends. I believe hope is precious to maintain in life. I believe faith and hope go together. I believe when hope is taken away, it can crush a spirit leaving despair.

I believe there people around us are losing hope and need prayer and encouragement to see the love and grace of God in life.

IMG_0764.JPG
I believe God continues to grow us spiritually, to be the light, for those who don’t know Him to illustrate hope.

My heart is heavy for friends, who are ill and fighting to keep their faith. A coworker’s loss of her husband. Those, who are suffering in silence and fearful to ask for help.

Sometimes, we take things and people in our life for granted. It is my faith, hope and prayer that God helps each of us extend hope to anyone He puts in our path.

Give

Life is beautiful because it is a controlled yet chaotic dance of ups and downs where we are blessed with the ability to sense those pains and pleasures equally.
~ Suman Rai ~

Hello friends. (smile) Blessings, in life, can come in so many forms. Give. Sow. What we give out comes back to us. It’s reaping and sowing with a twist. (smile)

Everyday, there are opportunities to give, our time, a kind word, encouragement, love, a hug, a specific prayer, a smile or fill in the blank____________________, to those around us.

It’s the little things that truly show others that we care and they are not alone. Give brings balance.

We all bring something to the table. God blessed me with the gift of encouragement. Thank you Lord! It’s what I do. (wink)

IMG_0664.JPG
God gets the glory every time He pours words of encouragement into my heart to share with someone.

Do you know your gift?

I can honestly tell you, I did not know my gift was encouragement until I started blogging! (shock face)

As God walks us through things and stuff and challenging moments with X, Y or Z, He is expanding and perfecting our gift within us. Pfft, as we grow, the gift becomes a natural part of who we are. (smile)

Everywhere, we go, are opportunities to give something to others. Smiling, is one of the most beautiful things we can give to others. (smile)

Times are tough and to give, of ourself, can be a blessings that shows someone God loves them! (smile)

Blessings, my friends, as we give to someone today. (smile)

Matthew 7:24-29, The Two Foundations

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
~ Galatians 5:22-23 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Rock or sand. Milk or meat. Spirit or flesh. Knowing The Word or doing The Word.

Choices. Free will to choose. Foundations. A relationship with God.

IMG_0715.JPG
Spiritual fruit and obedience are necessary to build a solid foundation to weather changes and or storms in life.

Spiritual strength and faith grows every single time when God walks us through things and stuff and X, Y and Z moments.

As spiritual fruit grows from within, there is such peace and freedom, that wherever we go, the presence of God is evident and His light shines. It’s a beautiful thing to behold. (smile)

It’s a beautiful thing when God builds the house.

It’s a beautiful thing to recognize our inner strength comes from Him.

It’s a beautiful thing to know who you are in Christ.

It’s a beautiful thing when we can see disappointments as God redirecting us to something better.

It’s a beautiful thing to adapt and adjust because God walked us through better than we were before.

It’s a beautiful thing to renew our mind and speak to the lies the enemy likes to replay.

Life will have ebbs and flow. Nothing and no one is perfect, except Jesus.

Recognize God equips us to weather and walk through anything because our faith and trust is in Him.

Blessings, my friends, as we recognize our house is built upon a rock. Praise The Lord! (smile)

Things and Stuff – Control Your Breathing!

Hello, my friends (smile) Wahoo, I survived the dentist but it was not pretty! (shock face) It’s official, I am not a fan of going to the Dentist! How about you?

I struggle with anxiety about those needles! Ugh! I rather walk on hots coals with no shoes than get those shots! (forced smile) Grace, I needed plenty of grace this afternoon! I did learn something. Control your breathing!

Today, when I sat in the chair, and the dentist came toward me with that needle, I held my breathe and tensed up. Wrong thing to do!

20140107-204956.jpg
By the time, I was numb and he dropped the chair way back, I couldn’t feel part of my nose and I thought, OMG, I can’t breathe. Once that thought lingered, anxiety gripped harder and every silly thought flooded my mind. I was overwhelmed and couldn’t think how to breathe through my nose. (shock face)

It’s at that moment, I start to remember old stuff, here I’m sitting working myself up in a frenzy, my mouth is wide open and for one split second, I want to jump up and flee. (smile) I almost said, never mind, I don’t need good teeth! Usually, when I get nervous or anxious, I can sing a sing in my mind, pfft, not day! No song stayed long enough to drive out the thought…I can’t breath! (shock face)

I started to squirm and He stopped and asked was I alright, as he removes the guard thing holding my mouth wide open, I sit up to catch my breath and we resume. I spent the rest of the time mediating on this too shall pass, this too shall pass. Praise The Lord! This too shall pass. (smile)

Oh and the funniest part, by the time, we are finished, I look and feel like I was in a fight…hair all messed up, face all numb. (big grin) Sometimes, we must keep our sense of humor!

Learning to control our breathing in any problem or situation, especially when anxiety shows up will help keep our insides calm. (smile)

I would love to hear one of your anxiety moments. (smile) Be blessed!

Boundaries To Let Go

As we mature, there comes a time when we need boundaries, to know when, to let go and love from a distance. Adapting and adjusting to trials and tribulation, and things and/or stuff requires being spirit led with fruit of the spirit as mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23.

Possessing love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control) within us helps with trials and tribulations, and things and/or stuff.
20131124-211415.jpg

Trials and tribulations, things and/or stuff happens. The test is how we react to it. There will always be something or someone testing us. It’s all part of life, change and growth. Many times, we forget to breathe and focus to stay spiritually calm. Ā (wink) Ā  The flesh man rises.

Flesh man rising is where a warning should register but nope, we proceed anyway. Sometimes, we forget that we can choose to let stuff go. Too many distractions, coupled with hunger, tiredness, etc, fuels the challenging moment. We’re human and we all have a breaking point.

Again, thank God for his mercy and grace! None of us are immune from stumbling! (shock face) Ā  It’s all part of growing, maturing and producing more fruit within us.

Learning to let go frees us from thinking we have to do everything. Ā We don’t!Ā

Learning to let go means putting it at the foot of the cross. Ā Let God!

Learning to let go keeps us with God’s peace. God is always in charge, regardless of what we see! Again, we must walk by faith trusting Romans 8-28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (smile)Ā

God bless us, by faith, as we let go of unnecessary stuff blocking our spiritual growth. Let thy will be done.

God and Me

Thank God, that regardless of what is or isn’t in our life, at this moment, we can tell ourselves, God loves me and He never gives me more than I can bear. Ā (smile)

20130722-155901.jpg

He will never leave me nor forsake me and the joy of The Lord is my strength!Ā

Oh, to be loved, by God, is a beautiful thing!Ā

Praise God for blessing us with what we need! Ā (smile)Ā

Be You

Be you because there is no one like you. God made us all unique. As we get older, we start to understand that things from the past (or people) can keep us from moving forward. We either don’t like this or that about ourselves; we worry, fret, stress, get angry all because someone said something about nothing. Sometimes we try to be like someone else, which is not being who we were created to be.

20130401-034254.jpg

As God is pruning us, (we feel like we’re somewhere in the wilderness doing time) He is molding and shaping as the fruits of the spirit–love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith become part of us. During the wilderness time, we come to understand the fruit known as long suffering while learning to count it all joy when there are trials and tribulations that helps us grow.

When we know the Word of God for ourselves, deepen our personal relationship with Him, God opens our hearts and eyes to see and love like His Son, Jesus. It’s a beautiful thing when we walk through the season of change and we can embrace all the attributes that make us who we are in Christ. When we know who we are, its easier to let things go and let God. God is the only one that can open eyes to see the truth.

So let us “be” the women and men, God created us to be šŸ™‚ Wahoo, we look good for a Monday šŸ™‚

Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.

Romans 8:28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Know

It’s a beautiful thing to know we are loved by Jesus unconditionally šŸ™‚

20130331-074607.jpg

There is freedom to just live our lives because He loves us unconditionally!

He is known by many names and they all loves us!

Keep moving forward knowing He loves you šŸ™‚

Smile

Smile and thank God, we’re blessed to have made it to Friday šŸ™‚ Life is tough enough. A smile causes change. We can all think of a time when a smile turned a challenging situation into a testimony; all because we smiled šŸ™‚

God is doing awesome things through willing sons and daughters who choose daily to pick up their cross and follow Him. Smile and be the light that brightens today!

Have I mention that you look marvelous today šŸ™‚20130329-035125.jpg

Bless Someone

Bless someone today! God is using all of us to draw others to Him šŸ™‚

Bless someone with a smile šŸ™‚
Bless someone with a conversation about how they’re doing šŸ™‚
Bless someone with a meal šŸ™‚
Bless someone with a few minutes of your time šŸ™‚

Back in 2005, someone had sent me the potato chips and God story that just flows with today’s word bless šŸ™‚

A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with a bag of potato chips and a six-pack of root beer and started his journey.

When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park, just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her some chips. She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a root beer. Again, she smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.

As twilight approached, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave; but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old woman, and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever.

When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, “What did you do today that made you so happy?”

He replied, “I had lunch with God.” But before his mother could respond, he added, “You know what? She’s got the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen!”

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked, “Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?” She replied! “I ate potato chips in the park with God.” However, before her son responded, she added, “You know, he’s much younger than I expected.”

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime! Embrace all equally!

Have lunch with God…….bring chips.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Continued comments on Forgiveness

The deeper the Word of God is in us, the easier we can let go of stuff we are not supposed to carry. The Word of God is so powerful that our choice to speak it, live it, want it and share it keeps us walking in the spirit and denying our flesh.
It always comes down to choosing. Choosing to be more like Jesus.
Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
1 Peter 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Forgive, Forgiven and Forgiveness

The ability or choice to forgive, be forgiven and offer forgiveness requires a spiritual connection and grace from God. We can all relate that in life, stuff happens and each of us has a story we could tell.

Forgiveness is for us–let go of (fill in the blank) and let God! Some things we hold onto keeps us from moving forward. Keeps us stuck! Let it go, release it to God by faith and watch what He will do.

When God is taking us through the fiery furnace, molding and shaping to put the fruits of the spirit in us so that we are more like His Son Jesus; let’s just say, He gets His way eventually šŸ™‚ sooner or later we get tired of going around the same mountain.

There are vile and horrible things happening all around us to people who don’t know God or that He loves them. As children of God, we are to show them God–through our life style, speech–the fruits of the spirit and none of this is possible if we can’t forgive.

God takes care of those who mistreat His children.

God is always in charge. He is always the same.

to be continued…..

Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Psalms 32:1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Psalms 86:5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Proverbs 17:9 He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeaters a matter separateth very friends.

Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

Change

Sometimes we don’t like change. Change requires moving forward in spite of the challenge to remain still. When you let go and let God, change can be a beautiful thing šŸ™‚

to be continued….

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

Choose

Choose to have a great day…choose to smile in spite of that challenge…choose to give a kind word…choose to do the opposite of what you feel šŸ™‚

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Smile, it looks good on you šŸ™‚
