Faith for Today – Wisdom

Knowledge is knowing what to say. Wisdom is knowing whether or not to say.
~ Unknown Author ~

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto
wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
~ Proverbs 1:5-7 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well and you’re keeping the faith. (wink) Trying something different to baby step back to daily posting. I love the Book of Proverbs. It’s instruction and advice on every aspect of life. Wisdom.

It’s amazing how life can bring us full circle. Remember, back in the day, parents, grandparents, and elders would tell their knowledge and/or experience about anything and everything.

I half listened back then, so wisdom developed late in my life.

Wisdom is developed as life experiences teach

Wisdom is never stops learning

Wisdom has a self-control tongue

Wisdom brings discipline to listen

Wisdom understands wise advice

Now your turn to join the fun, wisdom ________________ (fill in the blank)

Abundant blessings, my friends, to enjoy your day, because the just does everything by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

Faith To Understand Different, Forgiveness

Scars remind us of where we’ve been, they don’t have to dictate where we’re going.
~ Sergeant Harrison Scott, Criminal Minds
~

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
~ Matthew 18:21-22 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well and you’re keeping the faith. (wink) Stuff is my metaphor for scars and yesterday represents the past.

Stuff can be invisible and heard through words spoken. Stuff can be seen through actions.

No one is immune to stuff  life brings.  Stuff gives experience.  Stuff eventually heals yesterday’s wounds.  Stuff becomes a testimony.

Sharing stuff is the most powerful way to help others and so is forgiveness.

Stuff is experiencing and getting victory over yesterday’s unnecessary stress; dysfunctional relationships; toxic circus environments; object of bullies, manipulators and gossipers; identity theft; betrayal; failing health; or _______________(fill in the blank).

Forgiveness liberates today from yesterday’s stuff. Forgiveness stops the replay. Forgiveness shows the presence of the Holy Spirit within. Thank you Lord, for equipping, the ability to forgive as you forgive.

Faith to understand different, forgiveness shows Jesus, as Lord and Saviour, in any situation and glorifies God every time.

Abundant blessings, my friends because the just does everything by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

Psalm 91, A Refuge and Fortress

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well and you’re keeping the faith. (wink)

There are times, The Book of Psalms brings encouraging comfort to get through difficult times and hurting situations. Praise The Lord.

Psalm 91 is my second favorite Psalm when life throws testing after testing of my faith.

To crawl, walk and run with The Lord as a refuge and fortress, is the safest place to endure since he’ll never leave or forsake us.

Praise The Lord.

Praying a Psalm is powerful faith and praying with specificity.

Abundant blessings, my friends because the just does everything by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

Faith Prays With Specificity

A good memory is one that can remember the days blessings and forget the days troubles.
~ Author Unknown ~

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
~ Luke 11:9 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well. Thank God, we’re blessed to see another day.

Today’s encouraging thought is faith prays with specificity.

Prayer is especially powerful when it’s heart-felt and specific to a need.

I love the specificity of the knots prayer.  I believe it speaks encouragement to self-esteem and replaces negative thoughts.

Faith prayers with specificity trump negativity every single time. (wink)

Abundant blessings, my friends because the just does everything by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

Faith Through Any Season

Life works in seasons; which means you won’t be stuck where you are forever.
~ Unknown Author ~

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
~ Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well as we start the new year.  Thank God, we’re blessed to see another day.

Today’s encouraging thought is faith through any season.  Timing is everything.

Change is inevitable. Change is experienced based on choices and having faith through the experience.

To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose is life experiences as illustrated in the scripture above.

Experience develops spiritual maturity.

Experience gives wholeness.

Experience shows and teaches.

Experience is showing Jesus to a hurting world.

Experience becomes a testimony to help others.

Faith through any season keeps moving forward and refuses to remain stuck.

Faith through any season trumps negativity every single time. (wink)

The Fruit of Temperance (Self-Control)

Sometimes, not saying anything is the best answer.
You see, silence can never be misquoted.
~ Unknown Author ~

He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
~ Proverbs 25:28 ~

People will always talk about you, especially when they envy you and the life you live. Let them…you affected their lives, they didn’t affect yours.
~ Unknown Author~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well in your world. Wahoo, encouraging thoughts to share. Praise The Lord.

The fruit of temperance (self-control) is powerful to behold and amazing in action.

Self-control produces growth that eventually is an acquired skill in any environment.

Self-control has control over self, regardless of what others say or do.

Self-control is a choice.
Self-control is spiritual maturity.
Self-control is inner strength.
Self-control is a bridled tongue.
Self-control is a character builder.

Self-control weathers the seasons.

Self-control rises above mediocrity and pettiness.

Self-control can be intimidating to dead bones walking.

Self-control can keep moving forward.

Self-control recognizes opinions are just opinions.

Self-control thanks God, for his mercy and grace, when stumbling moments happen.

Abundant blessings, my friends, to keep the faith, during trying times.

The Fruit of Long-Suffering

Strength is born in the deep silence of long-suffering hearts; not amid joy.
~ Arthur Helps ~

Blessed is the man that trusted in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
~ Jeremiah 17:7-8 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well in your world. I’m sharing my thoughts on the fruit of long-suffering. Thank God, there was a break through.

There are many things that bring about long-suffering.

Imagine living through unnecessary stress, dysfunctional relationships, toxic home or work environments, the object of bullies, manipulators and gossipers, health issues, the list can go on and on.

Bottom line, there are times, we can be too sensitive to slights or insults that are just opinions and a response is not required.

The fruit of long-suffering forces growth, builds character and teaches us something about ourself. Growth and maturity is a process that has no shortcuts.

It is quite painful to walk through long-suffering until we know who we are in Christ. Realize the situation is temporary. Understand we’re not victims but more than conquerors. Eventually the break-through comes.

Thank you Lord, for faith, to keep standing, in the meantime.

The upside to the fruit of long-suffering:

Storms come, we’re still standing.

Hope that keeps the faith, we’re still standing.

Inner strength to endure, we’re still standing.

Humility that comes naturally, we’re still standing.

Easy to let things go, we’re still standing.

Courage to walk through unhealthy environments, we’re still standing.

Contentment and f r e e from oppressive acts, we’re still standing.

Humor to see that it is, what it is, we’re still standing.

Healing in areas, where brokenness kept us stuck, we’re still standing.

Ability to walk away from dysfunctional relationships, we’re still standing.

The fruit of long-suffering results in experience and will produce more spiritual fruit, patience and inner strength.

The fruit of long-suffering experience helps to make better choices and gives abundant patience.

The fruit of long-suffering changes us from the inside out.

In time, we grow and become like a well watered tree deeply rooted, standing strong through anything or anyone’s shenanigans. (wink)

Praise The Lord for his mercy and his grace.

Abundant blessings, my friends, keep the faith and stay standing strong. (smile)

I would love to hear your thoughts on the fruit of long-suffering.
