Acrostic on Criticism

You learn from both positive and negative experiences.
~ Unknown Author ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Happy Wednesday! Hope all is well.

My encouraging thought today sees criticism from a positive perspective.

The beautiful thing about creativity is there are no limits. It’s why I love creating acrostics. The power of words. (wink)

Life situations give both positive and negative experiences.

Either grow or remain stuck. Internalize or let go. The choice is ours.

My acrostic, on criticism, chooses to defeat negative thoughts that arise during constant criticism. Do it, by faith.

Make it a great day. (wink)

Abundant blessings, my friends, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

IWSG June 7th Question: Did You Ever Say “I Quit”?

If there is no struggle, there is no progress.
~ Frederick Douglass ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well and you’re keeping the faith. (wink) I’m just a bit late for the first Wednesday of the month. Alex, may I get a C for effort? (wink)

Hello to our June IWSG Co-hosts:

JH Moncrieff
Madeline Mora-Summonte
Jen Chandler
Megan Morgan
Heather Gardner

IWSG Day Question: Did you ever say “I quit”? If so, what happened to make you come back to writing?

Yes, the words, I quit, I’m DONE have left my mouth many times. Frustrations and struggles. Not enough time. Things that mount up to distractions. I believe these things serve a purpose.

Walking away, has been a form of quitting for me. Timing is everything. Self-encouragement helps. Refocus is key. Sometimes, its just a schism……

I quit, and I always come back. (smile)

Abundant blessings, my friends, because the just does everything by faith. Enjoy your blessed weekend.

No matter what, it’s not failure, it’s finding what works for you. At the end, of the day, we’re still standing, sitting or squatting strong. (wink)   The power, of faith, to move forward.

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome Lexa and co-hosts, L.G. Keltner @Writing Off The Edge and Tonja Drecker @Kidbits Blog, to another blessed Friday to celebrate the small things.

This week, I celebrate life with all its stuff. Please know I share my journey and all my vulnerabilities to help others. I give glory to God for courage to share the ebbs and flows.

Life gets so much easier when we work on our things and stuff. I’ve been around the same mountain for months. I’ve endured challenges that were not pretty. I chose to stay positive and be okay until…..

All in all, I’ve kept the faith trusting in the only person who strengtheneth me. My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I perceive victory as I continue to renew my mind and let the past go bye-bye.

It’s quite liberating to release the woulda, coulda and shoulda of yesterday.

It’s quite powerful to forgive daily.

It’s a beautiful thing, to understand, how God can use all things to make us better and bring his best into our life.

So I celebrate seeing life through different lens and appreciate his love and grace when I’m challenged. Thank you Lord.

Abundant blessings, my friends and keep the faith.

Your comments or thoughts are welcome. (smile)

The blessings is understanding that God can use anyone to test us.  Anyone.

A purpose, whether positive or negative helps us ________________ (fill in the blank).

Write that book. Break that habit. Job promotion. Meet new friends.

Keeping the faith makes 2016 a year of possibilities. Thank you Lord. (smile)

Celebrate Faith To Enjoy Life

A good memory is one that can remember the days blessings and forget the days troubles.
~ Author Unknown ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome Lexa and co-hosts, L.G. Keltner @Writing Off The Edge and Tonja Drecker @Kidbits Blog, to another blessed Friday to celebrate the small things.

Hope all is well in your world. This week, I celebrate life with all its ebbs and flows. Praise The Lord, I’m still blessed and standing.

Life, things and stuff, and the Y’s, of the world, will test us. Keep the faith, it’s all temporary to teach, change or heal something within us.

The wisdom of Romans 8:28 is that God can use all things to love us, teach us and move us forward. Keep the faith.

All things. Faith. Tests. Becomes a testimony to help someone going through. Sometimes, it is, what it is, until it’s not.

So I celebrate faith to enjoy life by remembering the blessings and forgetting the troubles. (wink)

Abundant blessings, my friends, until we meet here again.

Celebrate The Small Things, 3 July 2015

Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, how you leave others feelings after an experience with you becomes your trademark.
~ Unknown Author ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome Lexa and co-hosts as we celebrate the small things this week.

This week, I give glory to God for faith and courage to be different. (smile)

I now understand and appreciate balance. All things can bring balance. All things can bring change.

God made us different. Each of us bring gifts and talents that help and bless one another.

Every experience, walked or crawled through, becomes an entry to our resume of life achievements. Experience builds a ministry to bless others.

Sharing our resume can bless someone who may not know the next step or need encouragement to take that leap of faith.

Nothing is more powerful than realizing some experience on our resume, can bring comfort or help to someone.  What a blessing.

For every negative, there is a positive.

So this week, I celebrate faith and courage to be different with a smile, having the day off and receiving my last poetry assignment.

Wahoo, something to do. (wink)

Blessings, my friends, to have a safe and wonderful 4th of July. (smile)

Feel free to share your thoughts.

Praying and Keeping the Faith

Focus on what matters and let go of what doesn’t.
~ Unknown Author ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends.  (smile)  I pray that all is well in your world.  February has been a challenge for me and a few friends.

I unplugged for awhile to pray my way through hectic days at the circus and healing for a few friends.

Praise The Lord that I’m still standing and He is walking me through the rhetoric at the circus.

I must admit that I have been playing a few of my mind numbing games (wink).

I’m grateful that my faith, in Him, gets me through every single time I focus on Him.

Sometimes, unplugging is a beautiful thing to experience.  No noise.  No angst.  Quiet.  IMG_0802

Today was the first day in a long time, my mind got some much needed rest.

Praise The Lord.

Abundant blessings, my friends, as you enjoy the rest of the weekend.

It’s What I Do

I get by with a little help from my friends.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) I hope all is well in your world. I appreciate and thank those friends, who left heartfelt encouraging words as I prayed through my stuff. {{hugs}}

Praise The Lord that I’m back with a new vigor to continue blogging. It’s what I do.

Praise The Lord that His mercy and His grace will lead me to adapt and adjust to rhetoric.

2015/01/img_0789.jpg
Praise The Lord that His love and faith will help me be the light at the circus. (wink)

The power of prayer and encouragement is a beautiful thing to receive when stuff comes and things get overwhelming.

The Lord reminded me that our gifts and talents within us help others when we share our experiences.

Understanding the will of God, for our life, is crucial. I wanted to quit but God had other plans. I give glory to God when I do what I do. (wink)

Friends, I encourage you to do what you do. God made us different for a reason. (smile)

It’s remembering all the times, He walked us through.

It’s remembering everyone has opinions and comments.

It’s remembering who we are in Christ.

It’s remembering to hashtag # careless anything that weighs us down.

It’s remembering at the end of the day, life does and will go on, in spite of stuff.

Praise The Lord.

Blessings, my friends, as we keep the faith and do what we do! (smile)

By the way, I’ll be catching up on all your posts that I missed this weekend. (smile)

Greatest Test of Faith

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

“Life is a series of surprises.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope you are enjoying the holiday season.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2014/12/img_0762.jpg

Keep the faith and trust in God’s timing!

Blessings as we remember God can work all things out and thanking Him through anything else.

Enough

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
~ Jeremiah 17:7-8 ~

Expectations are like preferences and perspectives; they will be different for everyone. So getting angry and frustrated by differences is foolish; until God prefects unconditional love within us. This is a lifelong process. ~ Ann Friend ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
~ Philippians 2:11-13 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Ever get tired of things and stuff and/or Y moments and say enough? I’ve been working on this “enough” rant for awhile. (shock face) By the grace of God and the Holy Spirit, I was able to finish this message with love and encouragement to illustrate negative and positive with regards to enough. Praise The Lord. (smile)

Even those of us, who love The Lord, get tired and say enough. I’m keeping it real. Everyday that God wakes us up brings opportunities, by faith, to run our race and work out our salvation, as well as, loving those around us.

Here is where faith and a relationship with God brings comfort. He is the only one who can change a heart. There are some things we’re not meant to carry. There are some Y’s, not ours to fix. Here is the wisdom of Romans 8:28, all things can and will be used by God to get us where we need to be.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2014/12/img_0755.jpg
We learn by repetition. We learn by our mistakes. We learn by letting go. We learn to have faith and trust God’s timing.

Life will bring challenges via things and people. Idiosyncrasies. Adapting and adjusting. Loving one another in spite of our differences. In the 21st century, we must be open enough to change.

Being spirit led and having spiritual fruit–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control), within us brings inner change that lights the outside of us.

Until we’re ready to take responsibility of our choices and let God walk us through, we won’t understand the freedom of saying enough, Lord, let thy will be done.

Enough of impatience. 2 Corinthians 6:3-10 – Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

Enough of spitefulness. Romans 12:18-21 – Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Enough of fear. Isaiah 41:10-13 -Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/656/48782359/files/2014/12/img_0733.jpg
Enough of doubt. Matthew 11:23 – For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Enough of unbelief. Matthew 17:20 – And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Enough of envy. Romans 13:12-14 – The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Enough of pettiness. Matthew 23-24 – Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

Enough of negativity. Luke 6:27-28 – But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And also Luke 6:45 – A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Enough of judging. Matthew 7:1-3 – Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Enough of anger. Ephesians 4:31-32 – Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clam our, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Enough is to know what scripture to speak to situations. Enough is to know that prayer is powerful. Enough is to know faith.

Enough is a blessing when we’re ready, God will provide the next step to move forward.

Your comments or thoughts are welcome. (smile)

God’s Protection

Sometimes all we need is some personal space and time to release, reflect, and focus on all the amazing things that we have been blessed with in life.
~ Unknown Author ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.
~ Philippians 4:10-13 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well in your world and you had a blessed Thanksgiving! (smile) All is well in my world. Praise The Lord.

I’ve been enjoying life in spite of things and stuff or Y moments. Here’s the thing, adversity and free will. We’re all different and can press each other’s buttons. (shock face)

IMG_0740.JPG
In life, we could be the something or someone that irritates others. Sometimes, we, like others, are not ready. Ah, the cycle of life to adapt and adjust.

As spiritual fruit grows within us, it becomes easier to adapt and adjust to things and stuff or Y moments.

It’s a beautiful thing to learn contentment by renewing the mind and meditating on Psalm 91.

It’s a beautiful thing to realize faith and trust in God is all that matters; because at the end of the day, we’re still standing and life goes on. Glory to God. (smile)

It’s a beautiful thing to let it go. The “it” will be different for each of us, nonetheless, letting go brings freedom and breaks the bondage that keeps us stuck.

It’s a beautiful thing to practice the pause before answering foolishness. Silence, at times, speaks of spiritual maturity.

It’s a beautiful thing to understand choices and know that God always provides when we walk by faith and our choice is aligned with His will for our life.

It’s a beautiful thing to know that God is for us, who can be against us.

It’s a beautiful thing to behold all things. God can use all things to bring about spiritual growth, healing, maturity (wholeness) that leads to contentment of where we are today and His protection along the way.

Be blessed and content, as we keep the faith until God manifests our next step! (smile)

Faith In God Grows Stronger

Anything is possible, my friend. Anything.
~ Author Unknown ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. ~ Romans 8:28 ~

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
~ Hebrews 11:1-3 ~

Hello friends. (smile) I’ve had a great time celebrating. Here’s the thing, many times, we can become overwhelmed by circumstances. Faith in God, is the ultimate companion, along with prayer.

IMG_0846.JPG
Sometimes, words spoken, over our situation, need to be rebuked and not received. Pray and have faith.

It’s a beautiful thing when our faith, in God, grows stronger. Praise The Lord.

Every single time, we choose faith, we are growing more spiritual fruit within us, faith grows stronger.

Every single time, we refuse to fret or have angst, about something or someone, faith grows stronger.

Every single time, we remember what He has already done, faith grows stronger.

How about that! (smile)

Faith, in God, is powerful when going through the ebbs and flow in life.

Faith, in God, is comfort when we remember we’re not alone.

Faith, in God, is peace from previous victories.

Faith, in God, grows when we know He can work all things out for our good.

Faith, in God, grows when we trust in His timing.

Faith, in God, grows when the blessing is manifested.

Faith is knowing God, through His Son, Jesus, and recognizing that anything is possible once aligned with His will.

Blessings, my friends, as our faith, in God, grows stronger today! (smile)

Count It All Joy When…

This post was originally published on 19 October 2014 and updated on 13 November 2018.

Appreciate the Unexpected. ~ Anonymous ~

And we know that all things together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
~ James 1:2-3 ~

Hello friends. (smile) It’s a beautiful thing when The Lord gives understanding, to us, through His Word. It’s a beautiful thing to understand the power of specific prayers and to count it all joy.

I’ll be the first to admit, once upon a time, I struggled in my Christian walk. I struggled in my faith. I struggled in developing a personal relationship with God, through His son, Jesus.

Let’s just say, I struggled until I got tired of going around the same mountain and surrendered. Praise The Lord, I’ve come a long way.

I’ve learn to appreciate and count it all joy as I keep moving forward, by faith, as God puts more patience in my life.

Count it all joy, when we pray and God answers.

Count it all joy, when we have wisdom to understand life is sowing and reaping. Life is realizing we can’t give what we don’t have. It comes from with. Life is sharing and helping one another.

It’s a beautiful thing to share “once upon a time” testimonies. It’s truly tough when we don’t know what we don’t know.

Count it all joy, when things in life can feel surreal.
IMG_0723.JPG
Count it all joy, when somethings are forgotten and somethings linger, just enough to dwell on day in and day out.

Count it all joy, when trials and tribulations (things and stuff) help us grow and builds patience.

Count it all joy, when X, Y and Z moments challenge us.

Count it all joy, when we take responsibility for wrong choices.

Count it all joy, when God removes anything or anyone keeping us stuck.

Count it all joy, when we realize the past can’t keep us prisoners or stop our future blessings.

Count it all joy, when we understand nothing nor anyone is perfect, except Jesus.

Count it all joy, when it is, what it is. Let it go.

Count it all joy, when we know who we are and what we bring to the table.

Count it all joy, when the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Count it all joy, when we know, if God is for us, who can be against us.

Count it all joy that God loves us even when we stumble.

Count it all joy, that there will always be naysayers.

Once upon a time, we were naysayers. Let’s bless them and live our life thanking God that we’re not where we use to be.

Enjoy your day, my friends, as we count it all joy!

Abundant blessings, my friends, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

Patience and Silence

Patience and silence are two powerful energies. Patience makes you mentally strong. Silence makes you emotionally strong.
~ Author Unknown ~

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
~ Romans 5:3-5 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Sometimes, life throws challenges, tests or fill in the blank____________.

Sometimes, we can forget about the retesting of a previous victory. (shock face) Sometimes, we participate in nonsense.

IMG_0719.JPG
I had to reset for a few days because I failed a retesting twice. Ugh. Two different days and it was still a no go on both tests.

Praise The Lord for His mercy and grace. (smile) Praise The Lord when we don’t beat ourself up for losing our cool and failing the test.

Remember Romans 8:28. All things.

I’m learning that patience and silence builds spiritual strength and produces spiritual fruit to endure things and stuff during Y moments. I’m understanding that life does go on even when I fail the test. (smile)

I believe patience has the most retesting. So I’m walking through retesting by faith. Do it by faith.

There are some things designed to help us grow. Walk through with patience and silence. Remember, everyone has an opinion. We don’t have to participate in every idle comment.

Patience and silence becomes easier when we choose to let stuff go!

Patience and silence becomes easier, when you know who you are.

Patience and silence disarms our button when being pushed.

Patience and silence can bring a smile when we know God is always in charge. Praise The Lord.

Blessings as we learn to choose better while walking through testing with patience and silence. (smile)

God’s Amazing Grace

People don’t change until the pain of remaining the same becomes too great.
~ Unknown Author ~

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
~ 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
~ Hebrews 11:1 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Everyday, we make choices. Everyday, something or someone plays a part toward our growth. Everyday, regardless of how we choose, we have God’s amazing grace. How about that. (smile)

IMG_0717.JPG
God’s Word tells us “my grace is sufficient for thee.” When we stumble, we have God’s amazing grace. When we lose our cool, we have God’s amazing grace. When we, fill in the blank_______________, say it with me, we have God’s amazing grace. (smile)

When those silly thoughts creep in, tell em, “grace, I have God’s amazing grace.” Say it with authority!

Learning, to move on, from past mistakes, brings freedom, to live life with God’s amazing grace. Move on, by faith, until it comes naturally.

Let God’s amazing grace replace the woulda, coulda, shoulda we carry by remembering Romans 8:28 tells us, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Blessings, my friends, as we live life to the fullest today with God’s amazing grace! (smile)

Strong Enough

Maintaining a complicated life is a great way to avoid changing it.
~ Elaine St James ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) I’ve been walking through things and stuff. Romans 8:28, kept me strong enough to keep the faith and keep moving forward. Praise The Lord.

Strong enough is knowing our faith and trust in God will get us through.

Strong enough is understanding choices.

IMG_0697.JPG
Strong enough is forgiving and moving on.

Strong enough is realizing no answer is the answer.

There comes a time when we’re strong enough to say Thank you Lord for delivering me every single time I wanted to quit.

There comes a time when we’re strong enough to let go until timing is better.

There comes a time when we’re strong enough to know that God is working all things out and we can just wait on the manifestation.

Strong enough is courage to say enough. It is, what it is.

Strong enough is knowing friends who step up.

Strong enough is wisdom to let God change hearts.

Blessings, my friends and enjoy your weekend! (smile)

IWSG Don’t Mind Criticism

IMG_0340.JPG
Even if you are not the best, you are better than those who never try.
~ Author Unknown ~

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
~ Romans 14:19 ~

Hello friends. (smile) I extend a warm welcome to Alex Cavanaugh and the IWSG September co-hosts, Laura at My Baffling Brain, Mark Koopmans, Shah Wharton, and Sheena-Kay Graham.

IWSG celebrates their three year anniversary of posting! Wahoo, Happy Anniversary! (smile)

Don’t mind criticism is my encouragement this month. What wisdom in the criticism quote below. I like it. (wink)

Something new to practice! (smile)

IMG_0480.JPG
Sometimes, we have to wonder about the motives behind those who love to criticize others. (shock face) Free will, I suppose.

Believing in our abilities, where we know that we know, helps to deflect criticism. This is where faith and confidence grows, each time, we do our own thing, regardless of critics.

Sometimes, criticism is a good thing. It forces us out, of our comfort zone, to bigger and better opportunities.

Remember Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Sometimes, God has something better. Wahoo, thank you Lord!

Blessings, my friends, by faith, as we look at criticism from a different perspective and as Alex likes to remind us–have fun along the way. (smile)

Appreciate

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
~1 Thessalonians 5:18 ~

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Praise The Lord, my smile and sense of humor is back. (wink) My faith and trust in God gives me strength and courage each day to share what He pours into my heart.

I give a heartfelt thank you and abundant blessings to online and offline friends, for your prayers and encouragement during my challenges last week. {{hugs}}

I appreciate your thoughtfulness more than you could possibly know. By faith, I know God will bless each of you, in a mighty way, for your part in praying and encouraging the encourager. (smile)

IMG_0725.JPG
Sometimes, we forget to appreciate the little things.
Sometimes, we forget to appreciate the blessings that challenges bring.
Sometimes, we forget to appreciate that tears can be a blessing.

It’s a beautiful thing to bless others when we are hurting. I’ve been emotionally drained for a few weeks. By faith and God’s grace, I kept moving forward.

My emotions has been like a roller coaster ride since I got that ticket a few weeks back and realized the ticket was the blessings. (shock face)

The weight of God’s protection while I was unaware that I was driving on dry rotted tires, the sickness and pain that friends are going through; the death of friend; the challenges in my work environment, Friday night, I cried and prayed. I gave all that was hurting within my heart to God.

Praise God! He ministered and watered all the love and encouragement sown from you to me that I have a new appreciation of sharing my faith walk with others and ask for help when needed. To God be the glory!

Appreciate being different.
Appreciate those unexpected kind words.
Appreciate prayers.
Appreciate people’s time.
Appreciate smiling for no apparent reason.
Appreciate what we have.
Appreciate those who care.
Appreciate the ebbs and flows moments.
Appreciate (fill in the blank)______________.
Appreciate that God is still in charge and can work all things out.

So today, my friends, blessings as we appreciate each other and the things we share with one another. (smile)

Be Kind to Yourself

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~Romans 8:28~

Hello friends. Thank God for His mercy and His grace. Thank you Lord.

My patience is still being tested. (shock face)   Trying to keep the faith!

Things and stuff. Ugh! X and Y challenges.

IMG_0738.JPG
Thank God for His mercy and His grace.

Sometimes, we’re tested from all sides that we can literally blink and get more frustrated or entertain a wrong thought that brings tears for no reason.

Be kind to ourself, in those moments, because, at the end, of the day, we survived and life goes on! Praise The Lord!

Being kind to ourself, when we are walking through or even when we stumble brings comfort that we are still blessed and God still loves us. Thank you Lord!

I thank God for friends. I thank God for those who pray for me. I thank God for the things and stuff producing more spiritual fruit in my life. Something else to do! Ain’t life grand! (wink)

Learning to change our perspective and take the day, moment by moment, can truly help.

Having faith that God can work all things out is wisdom enough to be kind to ourself because if The Lord says the same, there will be tomorrow!

Blessings, my friends,  as we keep the faith and be kind to ourself and sleep well tonight!

Recognize God’s Grace

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) This week, so far, has been eye opening and hectic. Have no worries, all is well, in my world. I hope, all is well in your world. (smile)

Many times, things happen and we forget to recognize God’s grace. We start asking why.

We forget how He can work all things out. Praise The Lord!

Monday, I got my first ticket. I ran a red light! (shock face)

I noticed a small gash on my right rear tire. I know nothing about cars except to gas them up, use the air conditioner and listen to music as I drive. (wink) I entertained one negative thought. (nervous smile) What if the tire blows on the way home? Those pesky thoughts, we entertain makes us loose focus and faith. Where was my faith?

20140729-232930-84570345.jpg
As I was driving, very nervous not to slam on the breaks as the light was changing yellow, I kept going, right through the red light. (shock face)

Thank God, no other cars were around me, except the cop behind me! (shock face) The look of horror, on my face, when he flashed the lights for me to pull over.

Believe me, I was stunned but calm with faith that God was in charge. Lights still flashing, I felt like a criminal as cars slowed to watch the festivities. (smile) It seemed forever for him to run my license and registration.

I stayed calm and polite. As I sat in my vehicle, I looked up and told The Lord, ok, I’m going to just roll with this because you are in charge.

I became numb to the reality, that yup, stuff happens. I had no reference point of experience, to help me, I’ve never been stopped before. So I spoke Romans 8:28 and said Thank you Lord. Just get me home.

Little did I know, the blessing of that ticket.

After the ticket was handed to me, He said, it was a warning and told me to read the back for instructions and get the tire fixed because it could blow. After the officer drove off, I still sat there stunned until I finally ventured home.

This morning, I go to leave and see that the tire has lost some air. Ugh! I’ll cut to the chase, I had to get four new tires because each were dry rotted! The back rear tire was not the worst one! (shock face)

Anyone of those tires could have blown.

I thanked God for keeping me safe! Here’s the blessing–that ticket brought to life the fact that my tires were bad! If I didn’t get that ticket….

God opened my eyes to that afterward. I’m still thanking and praising God for his protection and grace. (smile)

Sometimes, we don’t recognize the power of God’s grace when walking through challenges.

Blessings, my friends, as we recognize God’s grace in all things. (smile)

Change Is A Lifelong Process (Part 2)

Adversity is just change that we haven’t adapted ourselves to yet. ~ Aimee Mullins ~

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
~ Romans 12:2 ~

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
~ 2 Corinthians 12:9 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Continuing thoughts on change, pull up a chair, this one has some length. (smile) A little Sunday humor!

It’s a beautiful thing to come here and share life experiences, by sowing faith, courage and encouragement. Glory to God. (smile)

I’m a humble and open vessel to The Lord. (smile) Please know and understand, I come here to share my Christian walk because He gives me courage to do so and faith that it helps someone. I sow, He waters and brings the increase. (smile)

20140719-235855-86335597.jpg
Change can come through so many ways-trials and tribulations, The Word of God, love, as well as, our choices.

Change can be many things depending on our attitude toward change. I am here to tell you, change is a lifelong process that begins with each of us. (shock face)

No matter, how strong we are in The Lord and the power of His might, He will continue to change us from the inside out and from glory to glory. Everyday is an opportunity to grow better than we were the day before. (smile)

Change brings testing and retesting and lots of God’s mercy and grace. (smile) Change brings adapting to anything and everything, to include X, Y and Z. Glory to God.

I’ve mention before that spiritual fruit within us is evident, as we become rooted and grounded in His Word, that our lifestyle reflects our spiritual fruit and maturity. God will prune anything within us not producing fruit. (gritted teeth smile)

Conquering our thoughts, as we grow and mature in Christ, is necessary to our continued growth.

Here’s the beauty of Romans 8:28 and the seasons of change, it will all work out. Praise The Lord. (smile)

The key is to renew the mind. Change old thought patterns, by replacing each thought, that oppress or keep the flesh man dominated over the spirit man. Patience and long-suffering are the hardest fruit to multiply without inner change.

Just when we think that we’ve got it all together, pfft, testing comes. The good news is that as we change, life and it’s testing gets easier to handle and walk right through. Praise The Lord.

Blessings, my friends, as we enjoy the change that comes our way today! Roll with it. (smile)

Appreciate

Look around you and appreciate those who care about you, be thankful they are in your life.
~ Catherine Pulsifer ~

Hello friends. (smile) Appreciate life. Appreciate family. Appreciate friends. Appreciate the positive and the negative of things and stuff, and X, Y and Z in life. Every encounter teaches us something.

20140717-040543-14743648.jpg
Sometimes, we neglect to appreciate the blessings in life. Have faith and appreciate God’s mercy and grace.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Friends, I appreciate each of you, more than you could possibly know. {{hugs}}

Blessings!

Free

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
~ John 8:36 ~

We must be free not because we claim freedom, but because we practice it.
~William Faulkner ~

Hello friends. (smile) I encourage you to reset and unplug from time to time. It brings a freshness and renewal from the day-to-day challenges in life. (smile)

20140713-054721-20841525.jpg
Everyday, we are free to choose the mercy and grace that God provides. Yesterday, I rejoiced because I was free to enjoy a day, of my life, without the things and stuff that causes me to rush. (smile) Praise The Lord!

How about you? Do you ever feel rushed? It’s a beautiful thing to realize it will get done and the world will keep turning, if it doesn’t. It just might be late. Praise The Lord, it will get done!

How many times do we rush because we think ______________ (fill in the blank). We are free to walk by faith and remember Romans 8:28, how God can work all things out.

Praise The Lord, for those things and stuff, He has broken the bondage of and set us free.

Wahoo, I am free from rushing. (smile)

Faith, in God, compliments being free, to choose living, with His mercy and His grace in every situation. Free from worries. Free from doubts. Free from the woulda, coulda, shoulda. That’s practicing living free. (smile)

Friends, be blessed today knowing we are free indeed! (smile)

Confidence

Confidence is something you create within yourself by believing in who you are.
~ Unknown Author ~

For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
~ Proverbs 3:26 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Confidence grows each time we build upon our belief in ourself. Just like faith and courage grows, the more we step out and do it, by faith. (smile)

To be honest, my confidence grows each time God nudges me outside of my comfort zone. (shock face) Praise The Lord! He has a plan for each of us.

I stand on Romans 8:28 daily because God really does work everything out. (smile) It may take time to see it but in time, we do. (a wink and a smile)

20140709-232914-84554986.jpg
It’s a beautiful thing to have confidence, faith and courage, along with the fruit of the spirit! (big smile) Anything is possible!

I’ve changed my (cheesy smile) to (big smile) because I can (smile) Would not want someone thinking I’m talking about cheese! (wink) Confidence to attempt humor. (smile)

As confidence grows, we should careless what X, Y or Z says, because bottom line, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. (shock face) Sometimes, it’s just information.

1 Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Careless.

Confidence is the ability to be different. Confidence is the ability to believe in what you bring to the table. Confidence is trusting God every single time. (smile)

Friends, todays blessings is to walk, by faith, with confidence because we are loved and we can say “I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.” Praise The Lord!

As always, you’re welcome to share your thoughts. (smile)

Enjoy

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
~ James 1:17 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Everyday, we have choices. Today, I encourage us to enjoy where we are, in life, because there are many who pray to be where we are.

20140705-063241-23561297.jpg
Enjoy the peace in life.
Enjoy those silent moments to think.
Enjoy the blessing of sleep.
Enjoy people who care.
Enjoy growing spiritually.
Enjoy living.

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
~ Philippians 4:11 ~

Learning to be content until God changes our situation brings freedom and frees us from angst.

The hardest lesson, I ever learned was enjoying who I am in Christ and enjoying the God giving faith and courage to share my Christian walk with others. Praise The Lord. (smile)

I am enjoying life free from fear and judgement of others. (cheesy smile) Thank you Lord!

It’s a beautiful thing to enjoy who you are in Christ without fear or judgement of others. It’s a spiritual thing to enjoy and behold. (smile)

People will talk. Let them! (smile) People talked about Jesus.

Yes, there are times when stuff happens. Remember Romans 8:28. Nothing is wasted when God is involved.

So my friends, let us enjoy and be content where we are until God manifests the next level.

Blessings and enjoy your day! (smile)

Your thoughts are always welcome. (smile)

~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends (smile) My encouragement today is roll with it and do your thing and enjoy being you. (cheesy smile)

Seasons of life, ebbs and flows, experiences, all play a part in our sharing with others.

Roll with it keeps us moving forward and evolving. (smile)

So keep the faith that someday, fill in the blank __________________________ will happen! (wink and a smile)

Roll with it! (smile)

20140701-220355-79435735.jpg
A good friend reminded me yesterday that you can’t please everybody. With the power of prayers, from friends, I walked out of the rut and will return to doing my thing and being me. (cheesy smile)

Thanks again, my friends and Thank you Lord!

Roll with it! (smile)

We all have a style. That’s what makes us unique. We may continue to adjust our style, as it works for us. All in all, it’s our style. (smile) I like to say, if you love it, we’ll like it.

Roll with it! (smile)

Everyone needs encouragement. It helps us grow. It gives us hope. It strengthens faith. Roll with it!

By faith, have a blessed roll with it day, be encouraged to do your thing and enjoy being you! (smile)

Have A Beautiful Friday

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Hello friends. (smile) Be blessed and keep the faith, as we mediate on Romans 8:28.

Blessed

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) We are truly blessed. Regardless, of the season, we are walking through, we’re blessed.

I used to dread Mondays until I realized I’m blessed to see Mondays. (shock face) Ain’t life grand! (wink and a smile)

Sure, there maybe times that things and stuff or fill in the blank________________, causes angst, nevertheless, keep the faith that God has a plan and it’s something better. (smile)

He can use all things to bring about our spiritual growth. (gritted teeth smile)

Recently, I had a few disappointments and another betrayal. I cried while praying, I thanked God that I was still standing and was blessed with more fruit of long-suffering and self control for my trouble! (shock face)

No worries, all is right in my world. Praise The Lord. (smile)

Sometimes, pain and hurt forces change. Learn to put things at the foot of the cross period.

No talking about woulda, coulda, shoulda. Chose to recognize that we blessed and God is in charge.

The process of spiritual growth becomes easier when we surrender.

How about you, what are your thoughts on spiritual growth? Inquiring minds want to know. (smile)

Today, regardless, of things and stuff or X, Y or Z, smile because you are blessed! (smile)

Recognize

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
~ Matthew 8:26 ~

Hello friends (smile) What a beautiful and specific way to express gratitude, by faith, as we walk through, things and stuff and X, Y and Z, challenges without fear. (smile)

Faith, in God, builds each time, we recognize His answers to our prayers.

It’s how we recognize that each valley (things and stuff, and X, Y and Z) eventually brings victory (blessings) over the mountain (challenges). Praise The Lord! (smile)

20140528-050954-18594667.jpg
It’s how we recognize our growth. It’s how we recognize the power of words that we speak into existence.

It’s how we recognize Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

It’s how we recognize to roll with it, because it is, what it is. (smile)

Today, have faith, to thank God, for the valleys to recognize the blessings of the mountains! Amen.

Survived

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? ~ Romans 8:31 ~

Wahoo, TGIF friends! (smile) How was your week? This week was brutal. I thank God for His mercy and His grace that I survived. (smile)

We survive every single time when we keep the faith that God will walk us through.

We survive every single time when we choose to let go of anything weighting us down.

We survive every single time when we speak God’s Word in times of distress.

20140523-054653-20813629.jpg
We survive every single time when we stay positive and focus on the current moment.

We survive every single time when we realize that things and stuff and/or X, Y and Z, play a part in God’s plan for our continued growth. (shock face)

We survive every single time when we roll with it because it is, what it is. (smile)

We survive every single time when we can smile to change our mood and keep our sense of humor. (cheesy smile)

We survive every single time when we keep an attitude of thankfulness.

We survive every single time when we remember the power of Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (smile)

Blessings, my friends, we survived the week! (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Lost”

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~Romans 8:28~

If you don’t get lost, there’s a chance you may never be found.
~Author Unknown~

Hello friends (smile) Happy Tuesday!

Lost of something or someone during our lifetime is inevitable. Lost can be many things in life. Lost can be tragic. Lost can be self imposed.

20140513-042137.jpg
Lost can be different depending on perspective. Sometimes, lost can be a blessing.

I get lost driving, especially, if I suddenly hit a detour and don’t know the area. Thank God for GPS!

I get lost, in time, playing Candy Crush and Angry Birds Friends. (shock face) Playing games can help clear troubling thoughts with mindless fun. (smile)

I get lost without focus. Especially overthinking the why of something. Maybe that is just daydreaming! (smile)

Lost can bring change and draw us closer. Lost can be a spiritual awakening.

Depending on where we are in life, sometimes, lost brings newness to something better for today, tomorrow or the day after that…..

Blessings!

May God Give You…

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:19 ~

Hello friends, by faith, may God give us everything we need to get through today. (smile)

What a beautiful illustration….

20140508-001043.jpg
Faith in Him grows when we understand Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. He will use anything to produce more spiritual fruit to help us grow.

I can tell you from experience, many times, I’ve asked for double grace to help me walk through challenging situations, to include, X, Y and Z. (shock face) I say, Lord, grace, your daughter needs a bit more grace, a double portion please, and Lord, a tad bit of mercy. Praise The Lord. (smile)

Challenging times or X, Y and Z become easier when we give it to Him. At the end of the day, we’re stronger in faith as He helps us walk through.

Blessings and enjoy your day! (smile)

Strength for A Friend Prayer

Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Friends, there is power in prayer. The last week, a few friends reached out for prayers. By faith, I am trusting and believing God to answer them as His will be done. Thank you Lord.

Tonight, I share this because sometimes we have to lay aside our own stuff to help those who need help. This morning, someone who dislikes me big time called out the clear blue asking me to pray for them. (shock face)

20140420-221512.jpg
By the grace of God, I listened and was praying as this person was speaking. The Holy Spirit within me gave words of comfort to speak and helped me put aside all the nasty things I was remembering about this person actions. I learned forgiveness and praying for my enemies a long time ago. Both played a part and truly helped me bless that person today. Thank you God for your mercy and your grace!

God gets the glory when we’re obedient to helping others, even our enemies. I thanked God for my spiritual growth and grace given to me today. Remember Romans 8:28.

Please join me in praying this beautiful prayer for strength to those we know going through challenges.

Thanks and be blessed as we start a new week! (smile)

Two Cents Tuesday Challenge: “Grateful”

I know that when I pray, something wonderful happens. Not just to the person or persons for whom I’m praying, but also something wonderful happens to me. I’m grateful that I’m heard. ~ Maya Angelou ~

Hello friends (smile) I’m sharing some of my grateful thoughts for the Two-Cents Tuesday Challenge. I encourage you to share your grateful thoughts. (smile)

I’m grateful everyday that my Lord and Savior wakes me up and equips me, by faith, for the day. (smile) I’m grateful that He answers my prayers! (smile) I’mgrateful for every good thing in my life!

20140414-221447.jpg
I’m grateful for the wisdom to understand that life will bring challenges and sometimes those challenges force me to continue to grow and mature in every area of life. (gritted teeth smile) Sometimes, it’s painful! Can I get a witness (wink and a smile)

I’m grateful that the spiritual fruit within me continues to grow and make me more spiritual. I’m grateful for His mercy and grace when I stumble. There are times, I stumble hard. (shock face)

I’m grateful for family and friends who encourage and hang with me when I’m overwhelmed or frustrated by things and stuff and/or X, Y, and Z. Thank you! God bless you big! (smile)

I’m grateful for disappointments because God loves and protects me and has something better. Thank you Lord. (smile)

I’m grateful for the courage to be me! I’m grateful that I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. (smile) Praise The Lord!

I’m grateful for times when God moves, in a mighty way, to let me know, He’s working and to keep the faith. (smile)

I’m grateful for His Word being deeply rooted within to speak to situations by faith and prayer.

I’m grateful for His presence in my life. When going through stuff, He walks me through and comforts me through my tears. I’m grateful that when it’s over, I’m stronger than before. Thank you Lord!

Finally, I’m grateful that I truly believe and trust Romans 8:28! (smile)

Have a blessed and grateful day, my friends! (smile) As always, your comments are welcome. (smile)

Roll With It Wednesday

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Hello friends (smile) It’s roll with it Wednesday! It is, what it is today, roll with it! (cheesy smile)

20140409-033752.jpg
No matter what season we are walking through, roll with it. God has a plan. Sometimes, things and stuff, as well as, X, Y and Z, can get us to our next blessing. (shock face) Praise The Lord!

It can be challenging, roll with it. It’s all part of life, roll with it! Adapt and adjust, roll with it! Remember, it takes two. We have choices. Change our perspective on the way we look at situations. Sometimes, we’re wrong. Roll with it! (smile)

Have a blessed and roll with it day! As always, your comments are welcome! (smile)

Life Can Change In An Instant

Hello friends (smile) Life can change in an instant. I’ve shared before about my friends, the Two Musketeers. (smile) Yesterday, going to lunch with a friend, we had a car accident. Out of no where, an emergency siren was blaring behind us and two cars in front of us slammed on the brakes.

Here is the beautiful thing about faith and having a trusting relationship with God. No words were spoken by either of us. No fear was present either. I tensed my body for the impact and my friend calmly turned the wheel to the left to avoid hitting the cars in front of us, only to be hit by a driver behind us. There were a few seconds, we could not think of the next step, and we refused to speak the wrong things. So we called out, God help us. God showed how mighty He was when the Third Musketeer called with the next step. Praise The Lord.

20140315-175932.jpg
Praise The Lord, no one was hurt and no significant damage was done to the cars involved. The blessing was God’s protection and His presence with us at the moment of impact. This was at a busy intersection and by the grace of God, we realized, it could have been worst. Thank you God for walking us through!

After the police report was done, my friend choose to get back on the horse (driving without fear) as she called it. We continued on with our plans for the day. We both kept praising and thanking God. We talked about how God can work out all things and how blessed we are. We were grateful. (smile)

Many times, when things happen, our first response is to ask why or lose perspective on what’s really important and start speaking the wrong things into existence. Yes, life brings challenges. Yes, life has ups and downs. Yes, things and stuff happens, whether saved or not.

It’s all part of living and walking by faith and trusting God.

Focus on the positive qualities of people and situations to fully realize that life can change in an instant. Sometimes, we focus too much on the “cannot” and the negative instead of the “can” and the positive. (smile)

Be blessed and live life for today. (smile) As always, your comments are welcome. (smile)

Roll With It, Everyday

Thanks and God bless you big friends, who took the time to leave words of encouragement. (smile) Sometimes, starting over is a good thing. Once you accept that it is, what it is. Roll with it! (smile)

Yes, I was bummed to lose all of my reference notes, weeks of drafts, to include work for my book, until I was reminded that I’m a roll with it and it is what, it is, kind of woman! (shock face)

Sometimes, we stop doing the very thing that brings us the most joy in challenging times! Let’s not internalize other people’s stuff. (shock face)

Roll with it is an attitude of gratitude for me. (smile) It helps to keep my sense of humor. It helps to know that God will not give me more than I can bear. It keeps me grounded. I understand each trial and tribulation produces more spiritual fruit. Roll with it is my assurance that regardless or things and stuff, x, y and z, God is in control. God can use all things to get me where I need to be. (clench teeth smile)

20140313-032442.jpg
Adapt and adjust. Stuff happens. Roll with it! The beautiful thing about sowing words of kindness, encouragement and faith, is when we are going through things and stuff, dealing with x, y and z, God will bring to our remembrance the very thing we need to help us most, every single time. We just have to listen. (smile) Praise The Lord! (smile)

No matter where we are in our season of life, choose to see and speak about the positive and good parts. Pray about the rest. Life goes on, whether we participant or not. Understanding that we are not alone put things in perspective. Understanding that God can use all things brings hope that it’s temporary and it will pass! (smile) Roll with it!

So as I rebuild and restart everything writing related, I will use my computer for daily backups. No more relying on just the IPAD and IPHONE! Ugh, what a lesson. Roll with it! (smile)

Be blessed, keep the faith that whatever you are going through, remember Romans 8:28! Enjoy your day, my friends and roll with it! (smile) As always, thoughts are comments are welcome!

Self-Confidence

Proverbs 3:26 – For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

Self-confidence grows every time we step out of our comfort zone. Many times, we have to faith it and do it the best we can. (smile)

Free will. It’s unfortunate when something or someone shatters confidence. It does something within. No one likes to be ridiculed or criticized to the point their confidence is shaken. No one.

20140304-032308.jpg
My confidence gets shaken sometimes when someone tries to use the past against me. Yep, I still have a few buttons that get pushed. (shock face) How about you, what shakes your confidence?

Lets face it, many lack compassion and empathy because they have never experienced or have a reference, of understanding, of something or someone different. This is where prayers become a life-line to tell the specifics to God. (smile)

Confidence builds when we keep trying. That’s how we learn and get better. As our confidence grows from within, our thoughts become clear and more positive. We pay attention to distractions. We recognize better ways to handle x, y and z. At the end, of the day, your confidence will be stronger!

Yesterday, I had the confidence to shovel the path way and my car completely. (shock face) I felt the wahoo and thank you Lord when I finished. Today, my muscles are sore and I can barely move (smile) nonetheless, I had confidence to get it done. (smile) Praise The Lord!

Be blessed today and remember confidence grows as we try because Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Comments and thoughts are welcome. (smile)

Be Kind To Yourself

Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

It’s another crazy week. (shock face) No worries, because all is right in my world. I am walking by faith, trusting my Lord and Savior. Still working on breathing calmly, because I have another button that I didn’t know existed. (gritted teeth smile) I’ll tell you later. (smile)

20140227-202640.jpg
It’s a beautiful thing when we can end a bad day and be kind to ourself. (smile) It has become my new habit on challenging days!

Replaying where we stumbled and why we stumbled gains nothing. (shock face) Thanking God that we survived is cause to smile and be kind to ourself and enjoy a peaceful night’s rest. (smile)

Learn from it and move on! Mercy and grace. We have God’s mercy and grace! Praise The Lord!

I am hanging in there with things and stuff, by faith, because this too shall pass. (smile)

Be blessed and roll with it. (smile) Remember to keep your sense of humor. (smile)

Roll With It and Let It Go!

Thank God, this week is almost over. It’s been a rough couple of days. I am still trying to get this balancing act together. (smile) By faith, I am so grateful that you are hanging in there with me. God bless you!

Sometimes, I run out of time and can’t post. (shock face) So I roll with it and let it go. (smile) Remember I equate roll with it to letting it go! It is anything that agitate the nerves, push buttons or tries to mess with your peace. It can be challenges beyond your control. It can bring negative energy that drains. Roll with it and let it go.

20140220-202332.jpg
Roll with it and letting go builds strength and confidence. How, someone is thinking. By keeping the faith that whatever it is will pass. Each time, we walk through it, its power loses the grip to paralyze, upset us or fill in the blank_____________. Really. (cheesy teeth)

Sometimes, we have to remember Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.

The last two days were brutal and draining. Yesterday, I tried to keep my sense of humor by popping my left fingers and holding up my right hand singing and rocking–it is, what it is; it is what it is. (shock face) It worked until the last 2 hours of my day. I forgot to breathe when things and stuff hit hard. I stumbled miserably. (smile) I smile because of God’s mercy and grace.

Sometimes, we need to be creative to walk through the thing! Let’s face it, change does not happen overnight. Regardless of what we do, stuff happens. Life is too short to stress over something or someone. Thank God for His mercy and His grace.

Be encouraged to roll with it and let it go. Be content until God’s perfect timing prevails for changing the situation. Have faith that He will. The victory will come! Remember, Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Be blessed and roll with it by letting it go. Thoughts and comments are welcome. (smile)

Risk

Wahoo, TGIF, my friends (smile) This quote spoke to me! It represents taking chances or another way, to look at this, would be faith. Life happens, regardless of our status in life. (shock face)

I will mention it again, we all bring something to the table. Welcome to my table (smile)

Today, I’m serving up faith and encouragement. It takes courage to be different. It takes courage not to follow the crowd. It takes courage to come here everyday and share parts of life, sometimes with no feedback. It takes courage to ignore less than kind remarks. My friends, that’s faith, doing it anyway, day after day. (smile)

20140109-230833.jpg
Many search the internet for various things and stuff. Keep writing, keep posting. Our words will always be there. God gives free will to choose. When ready, eyes are open to the very message needed to be seen! (smile)

It’s a beautiful thing when we get our “aha” moments. To truly understand living life, is when we’re comfortable and free to be ourself. We learn to adapt and adjust to surroundings and others. Sometimes, it is what, it is. Roll with it! (smile)

Life is too short to stay on the sidelines afraid to live life or worst, having a life of woulda, coulda, shoulda! (shock face) Have faith and choose to believe it is possible. It is different for each of us. Speak positive things to it. Have the courage to prepare for it because it will come, when we’re ready! (smile)

Here’s the thing, the past does not determine who we are today. If we must look back, look for reference only–not validation for today. There will always be something or someone trying to push a button to make us react.

Practice the pause, breathe, smile and say nothing. This is a tough one to do, it does require spiritual fruit–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control) and practice.

Remember, this is one where my retest is in the double digits! There is a mountain that has my foots print all over it! (shock face) Thank God for mercy and grace! Friends, we must keep our sense of humor to stay balanced. (grin)

I have faith that someday, I will pass the retest! (smile)

Let us always remember God can use all things, as stated in Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Be blessed, by faith, and have a marvelous day! (a wink and smile)

I welcome your thoughts.

Things and Stuff – All Things

I am way off schedule due to dental work yesterday and more first thing this morning! I’ve shared before that dental visits overwhelmed me. It’s the shots that bring anxiety to me!

Yesterday was rough. It seemed like stuff just kept coming at me! Ever have a moment where you entertain a negative thought that sends you spiraling down memory lane?

My last root canal was tough! I was not prepared mentally for complications! For a brief moment, old doubts flooded me like a ton of bricks! It’s interesting when we entertain one wrong thought and the emotions that creep to the surface. My day got worse, especially when pain and discomfort hit my face. I was starving and needed to stop to the store. The lines were long and this too added to the day that kept on bringing.

20131231-151544.jpg
As I was standing there waiting, thinking 2013 had some very rough spots and Thank God, the year is about to end when I remember all things. Romans 8:28.

This made me smile and remember that God can use good and bad things to grow and keep us moving forward. On my way home, I realized that I was being tested and decided to sing my 🎶🎶going around the mountain, one more time 🎶🎶🎶 song! Retesting is in my future!

Today was much better! Thank God. I had an abundance of grace today. Many times when we are going through stuff, we can feel like we’re all alone but we’re not. Let’s keep the faith and stand on Romans 8:28.

As 2013 comes to a close, let’s be thankful for those things and stuff that helped us grow and family and friends in our life.

Have a safe and blessed Happy New Year!

Things and Stuff – Walking Through It

Happy Friday, my friends! 😜 A heartfelt thank you for your prayers yesterday. I felt His presence and the power of your prayers lifting me up! Glory to God!

I’ve prayed for God to move, in a mighty way in your life to manifest the desires of your heart. Again, thank you so much for your prayers. 😀

20131220-031049.jpg
Learning to walk through the thing or distraction that pop up in life becomes easier when we ask for help–especially prayers. There will always be power in prayer by faith! Praise The Lord!

When we truly walk by faith and stand on Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose; we have comfort that God is and always will be in charge!

God bless us, by faith, as we walk through the thing or distraction today! Let thy will be done.

Something to Ponder 2

Ugh, it’s Monday! 😁

20131201-213833.jpg

At the moment, I’m trying to forget that it’s Monday! 😜 How about you? What are you trying to forget? 😰

I’m going to have faith that regardless of things and stuff today, I am standing and will meditate on Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

And if I must, I’ll smile, sing a song and roll with it! 😜 You’re welcome to join me. LOL

Have a blessed day, my friends! 😀

Boundaries To Let Go

As we mature, there comes a time when we need boundaries, to know when, to let go and love from a distance. Adapting and adjusting to trials and tribulation, and things and/or stuff requires being spirit led with fruit of the spirit as mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23.

Possessing love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control) within us helps with trials and tribulations, and things and/or stuff.
20131124-211415.jpg

Trials and tribulations, things and/or stuff happens. The test is how we react to it. There will always be something or someone testing us. It’s all part of life, change and growth. Many times, we forget to breathe and focus to stay spiritually calm.  (wink)   The flesh man rises.

Flesh man rising is where a warning should register but nope, we proceed anyway. Sometimes, we forget that we can choose to let stuff go. Too many distractions, coupled with hunger, tiredness, etc, fuels the challenging moment. We’re human and we all have a breaking point.

Again, thank God for his mercy and grace! None of us are immune from stumbling! (shock face)   It’s all part of growing, maturing and producing more fruit within us.

Learning to let go frees us from thinking we have to do everything.  We don’t!

Learning to let go means putting it at the foot of the cross.  Let God!

Learning to let go keeps us with God’s peace. God is always in charge, regardless of what we see! Again, we must walk by faith trusting Romans 8-28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (smile)

God bless us, by faith, as we let go of unnecessary stuff blocking our spiritual growth. Let thy will be done.

By Faith, I Declare

Thank you Lord, that you are always right on time! Your love and protection with your mercy and grace, keeps us standing on Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

IMG_0419.JPG

God bless us, by faith, with our praise and gratitude that all good things come from above. Praise The Lord! Let thy will be done.

Roll With It Wednesday

Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be.
– Grandma Moses –

Roll with it!

20131113-001502.jpg

Our five senses are incomplete without the sixth – a sense of humor.
– Author Unknown –

Roll with it!

Sometimes, it is, what it is! Roll with it!

God bless us, by faith, as we meditate on Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Smile, it looks good on you! 😜

Letting Go Takes Love

This quote is a perfect illustration of love. Love can start with each of us. To let go, means adapting and adjusting to one another in spite of our things and stuff.

To let go, means understanding we’re different with our own preferences and ways of communicating.

Kind of like po-tay-toe or po-tah-toe. (smile) We must keep our sense of humor (grit teeth smile)

To let go, means checking our motives with our choice of words to one another.

To let go, means caring less about what someone says or feels about us. Psst, they talked about Jesus!

To let go, means recognizing we’re in different seasons of life and timing is everything.

To let go, means growth and taking responsibility for our actions.

All in all, right or wrong, it is, what it is. Life goes on. (smile)

20131104-195033.jpg

God bless us, as we have faith and trust, in you, to let go and stand on Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

1 Corinthians 13:3-13 (NKJV)
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Faith and Trust In God Will Build

Faith and trust, in God, will build every single time. (smile) There is nothing to hard for God!

Another illustration of Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Bible Verses for Tough Times

Challenges. Change. Growth. Things and stuff. No matter what we label it–this happens, to each of us. Regardless. Life is a constant process of change and growth to produce more fruit in our lives (love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control)). 😰

The goal is to walk through without complaining. Just so you know, I am in my double digits retest! 😁 I got to sing the 🎶🎶going around the mountain one more time.🎶🎶 😜 I realized after singing yesterday that negativity breeds complaining. 😰

20131016-223506.jpg

We must keep the faith! God is always in charge. Whatever season we are walking through, things and stuff is temporary! There is always a scripture, to speak to things and stuff, to help us grow spiritually. 😁

This too shall pass, just not today. Of all the spiritual fruit, long-suffering and self control gets tested the most. Think of it as a wilderness experience without luxuries. The key–not to beat ourself up when we stumble. Sometimes, it is, what it is! 😜 Roll with it and let it go!

None of it changes this truth–God is always with us. We have his mercy and grace. He loves us unconditionally. Praise The Lord!

God bless us, by faith, as we walk through our season, meditating on Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Let thy will be done.

God’s Hand

This profound quote will resonate to us who walk by faith! It symbolizes having faith in God. Walk by faith, not by sight.

20131003-001933.jpg

Releasing things and stuff, by faith, to God, brings deliverance and victory in God’s timing. He knows when we’re ready. As faith in Him grows, He will give a glimpse or reminder of his hands working, in our situation. Again, there is nothing to hard for God. (smile)

So much of life ties to Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God bless us, by faith, as we leave everything in your hands to eventually see Your hands in everything. Let thy will be done.

Practice The Pause

Remember, by faith, to practice, the pause with things and stuff!

20130917-024406.jpg
God bless us, by faith, as we practice the pause. Let thy will be done.

Key scriptures to remember:

Romans 8:28-And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, A Time For Everything

What a perfect illustration to Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

20130913-213817.jpg

As long as we live, we will experience seasons in our life. (shock face) Seasons to make us grow, mature, all in all, change. Remember 🎶🎶going around the mountain, one more time.🎶🎶 (wink)

We must keep our sense of humor because some seasons can be tough. Learning to live, by faith, and adjusting to stuff can make some seasons bearable. Sometimes, we have to get out of our own way. (nervous smile)

Being able to share with each other, through seasons, is a blessing. Having family and friends is a blessing. Casting cares to our Heavenly Father is a blessing. Faith is a blessing. Learning to look, at seasons, from a different perspective, is a blessing. (smile) Thank God for his mercy and grace!

God bless us, as we choose, by faith, more spiritual fruit within us–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control) to walk through our seasons of life and let thy will be done. (smile)

5 Ways To Process Problems

Let us remember that there is nothing too hard for God! There is always His Word. Let Go and Let God! 😊

20130909-214110.jpg
Problems help us grow and move forward. It’s just difficult to understand during the season, we’re going through. 😰 Sometimes, we have to stop and ask God, what am I missing?
Sometimes, we’re to walk through the problem. This gives experience, to our fruit. 😁

Sometimes, praising Him, through the season, keeps us from grumbling and complaining. We’re to keep our peace. 😉 Remember, John 16:33 says “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” 😁

God bless us, by faith, as we trust in and lean on you; remembering Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.” Let thy will be done.

Jeremiah 17:7-8, The Blessedness of Trusting The Lord

We are blessed when we put our faith, hope, and trust in The Lord! 😀

20130828-223420.jpg
God bless us, as we remember, Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Thank you Lord, that your Word reminds us that you can bring about good from any situation.

It’s Roll With It Wednesday

You gotta love roll with it Wednesdays! 😉 Roll with it is a choice. Roll with it, is faith and trusting God to equip us with sufficient grace to crawl, walk or run through today! Anything else is irrelevant! 😜

20130820-221915.jpg
We all have things going on in our life. We are standing on faith for something or someone. We have prayed every prayer and awaiting God’s perfect timing. Roll with it. 😉

We have to continue living our life and roll with it until God manifest that something or someone. 😉 Be positive because Philippians 4:13 says “I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me”.

Roll with it keeps us moving forward. Sometimes, we can smile and roll with it. 😃

Sometimes, we can smile, sing a sing, and roll with it because Romans 8:28 tells us “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose”.

Ain’t life grand! 😜 Roll with it!

God bless us as we roll with it, by faith, and let Your will be done! 😊

Thoughts? Anyone? Anyone? 😉

Be Positive

Good or bad. Right or wrong. Happy or sad. The past is only a gauge of where we were. Thank God, it does not define who we are today! It always comes down to choices. 😰

20130715-192524.jpg

As Romans 8:28, tells us “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

God uses many experiences to grow and mature us, in our Christian walk, producing more fruit of the spirit–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control).

During our growth process, and prayer, our attitude about stuff changes, we handle stuff differently. We speak the Word to situations. As our mind gets renewed, positive thoughts, along with a favorite song, helps to maintain a positive attitude. 😜

To be continued…

God bless us as we move forward with a positive attitude because we’re not where we used to be. 😀

It’s Roll With It Wednesday!

Praise God, it’s roll with it Wednesday and we’re blessed he woke us up today! 😜
Smile and roll with it is a choice! 😜
Smile and roll with it because sometimes, it is what it is! 😜
Smile and roll with it because the joy of The Lord is our strength! 😜

20130618-204823.jpg

Smile and roll with it because Romans 8:28 tells us “And we know that ALL things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”.

Have faith that good or bad, right or wrong, God can work it out! 😜 His will be done.

God bless us as we keep moving forward by faith knowing your mercy and grace is sufficient for today! 😀

And if we must sing a song! It does a mind and body good! 😛Bring earplugs! 😜

Speak To The Lies To Renew Our Mind (Part 3)

This post was originally published on 15 June 2013 and updated on 10 November 2018.

Top of the day to our blessed afriendofjesus2013 friends! When I started this blog, I knew nothing about blogging or what to expect. I am humbled and grateful by the whole blogging experience. I just love The Lord! I am led by the Holy Spirit and enjoy a deep and personal relationship with Jesus! All of my postings are written from a “we” perspective because as Jesus changed my life, and my mind was renewed, my “I” became “we”. It is not my intention to offend or judge anybody by my way of expression.

Today, I am writing from both (I and We) perspectives. God put a message on my heart that we hope opens eyes and gives hope to someone to forgive and release all the stuff being carried to him (God). God is the only one who can heal every area within us and set us free to live and enjoy life. That freedom becomes a testimony of his love and what it can do! Praise God! God is the only one who can change and convict hearts.
20130615-060409.jpg

God gives us different ways to communicate. With the various ways, we can send out information, Facebook, Twitter, etc, our intent for the “Speak To The Lies To Renew Our Minds” was to give awareness that our thoughts and memories about ourselves can be lies or distorted. We all have stuff that we are working through. Again, we can be our own worst enemy.

The things we think about ourselves keep us oppressed, depressed or creates stress that is or can destroy us. These lies keep us paralyzed living with fear and doubt; anger and pride. These four are the big ones that unless we learn to speak to the stuff from the past, it holds us captive–dead bones walking. Jesus died to give us life! 2 Timothy 1:7 says “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”.

There are saved and unsaved people around us who can’t get their breakthrough or move forward because they don’t know how to address the issues they carry from the past.

Release it to God. He puts people in our life to help us grow. At a certain point in life, we have to stop blaming others and take responsibility to do something about moving on with life.

The message people never get is that God loves them, in spite of their stuff! Regardless of the past, or anything that they did. God is love! God’s love has no conditions. Our heart goes out to each and every person who is carrying stuff that God did not intend for them to carry!

The speak to the lies message was our way to shake things up and encourage someone to surrender their stuff to God.

God made us all different. So who are we to judge anybody. I love Matthew chapter 25. We forget that God loves. Since we are created in God’s image, who are we to judge anybody. Unfortunately, we all judge to a certain extent–especially when someone is different from us or does things different–but partly because we don’t know any better. Somewhere it became us versus them. People make the world go round. Again, we all bring something to the table.

Sometimes lets agree to disagree. Only a prideful person has something to prove, otherwise let it go! Remember they mocked and talked about Jesus, what makes us think they won’t mock and talk about us. How unfortunate, we can’t love and adapt to each other to get along. Until we can love like 1 Corinthians 13, we are still a work in progress.

Life in and of itself can be tough. Stuff happens but God is and always has been in charge. His will be done. Remember Romans 8:28.

When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, our thoughts and speech change. When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we get a new heart! When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we have the fruit of the spirit and are led by The Holy Spirit.

When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we are rooted and grounded in love to love as Jesus loves–unconditionally regardless because love never fails.

When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, our minds are renewed by the Word of God to speak life into every aspect of our lives and our thoughts lean toward positive and kind ways to help and adapt to others.

When we are led by the Holy Spirit in every area of our lives, we don’t have to tell anyone anything, they will see by our actions and know by our fruit!

God will continue to prune and produce more fruit within us as we work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. When we are emotionally healthy, we become open and light, approachable– so full of love that people are drawn to us. God can make our enemies be at peace with us! Oh to be a child of God!

Let’s talk about love. Free will to choose. God loves us and gives us a choice to choose and love him. Relationships are failing because we put conditions on love. At the end of the day, love is a choice. Single or married, we are blessed if we know God loves us by choice!

God bless to our afriendofjesus2013 friends as we move forward together! Always A Friend

Proverbs 16:7 – When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Matthew 25:42-46 – For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

1 Corinthians 13:3-13 (NKJV) – And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Philippians 2:12 – Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Speak To The Lies To Renew Our Mind (Part 2)

This post was originally published on 14 June 2013 and updated on 10 November 2018.

The renewing of our mind is a process! Each day, we speak life or death into our lives and situations. Each day, we can choose to replace a negative thought with a positive thought. But wait a minute, here is the catch–to replace our thoughts, something has to change.

Change starts with each of us. Change is always hard until we are ready and willing to take responsibility for our part of whatever keeps that negative thought alive. Which brings us to conflict.

Every relationship that involves people brings stuff–theirs and ours! Let’s face it, we all have a once upon a time or back in the day, blah, blah.

We made choices, right, wrong or indifferent. The challenge is owing our part of the choice and allowing God to set us free. Bad habits are hard to break. God knows what is needed to break each and everyone of us. Ouch.
20130613-234117.jpg
As I mentioned before, our past and present life experiences shape our memories, thoughts, perceptions and beliefs. Until we can accept each others choices and differences; we can’t be an effective witness for Christ. It will always come down to love.

God is love. If we say we love Jesus but hate our _________, well change is a process and it may take us longer to get where we need to be! When we stumble, we can thank God for his mercy and his grace!

No one is perfect, except Jesus. Pain, hurt and guilt, to include, forgiveness can all be released to God for healing. God loves us unconditionally; even when we are not kind and loving. He just waits until we choose him and the process to change begins again.

Other things we can use to renew our mind is music or paying a good strategy game–with either, the distraction keeps those pesky thoughts away. Try it, it helps!

God bless us by faith, as we release negative thoughts of the past, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, to renew our minds and set us free to keep moving forward.

Proverbs 18:21 – Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Song of Solomon 2:15 – Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.

Matthew 12:25 – And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

2 Corinthians 10:5 – Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Philippians 4:8 – Finally, breathen, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.

1 John 4:2 – Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

What We Got Here Is…

Hello, friends! We’re blessed to see the end of another week! Thank God! (smile)

Remember the movie Cool Hand Luke and the quote–“What we got here…is failure to communicate.” (smile) So let’s communicate! (smile)

Our message today is having the courage to communicate in our own way. After all, God make us different. We all bring something to the table! We should welcome and encourage each others communication styles. (nervous smile)

God can use anything or anyone for his purpose. Remember Romans 8:28 says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”.
20130606-195327.jpg

We love The Lord! We each communicate our love for him in our own way. God is light and God is love. There is no darkness in him. Everyday, the way we communicate through our actions and speech, shows the fruit within us and how rooted and grounded we are in Christ.

Saved or unsaved, people watch us, to see how we handle situations, and how we talk to people, and our attitudes when circumstances are beyond our control. The choices we make in our communication style either draws people or repels them. Remember positive attracts positive. (smile)

When we know who we are and know our self worth in Christ, we display and communicate confidence that no one can shake! Praise the Lord. Love and need. Everybody wants to be loved and needed. When we love ourselves then we can love others. When we disclose our needs then our needs can be met.

When we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us then when we can count it all joy and walk through trials and tribulations (sometimes painfully) by faith because God provides for us daily. Thank you Lord!

How we communicate our lifestyle shows the level of our Christian walk and the likeness of Jesus to those looking at us looking at them. (smile)

Praise God, when we can communicate the free gift of salvation.
Praise God, when we can communicate he loves us unconditionally.
Praise God, when we can communicate we’re blessed and highly favored.
Praise God, when we can communicate in sharing the gospel.
Praise God, when we can communicate his protection and provision.
Praise God, when we can communicate enjoying a spirit led life.
Praise God, when we can communicate kindness and encouragement through difficult times.

It’s a beautiful thing to communicate in our own way. (smile) God did not create us to be robots and dead bones walking. (shock face)

Let us make time for fun. Let us make time to smile and laugh out loud. Let us make time to sing a sing. These things help us renew the mind and does a body good! (smile)

When our light shines, our communication is more open and honest, and people will be drawn to inquire about the God we serve! Now thats communication (cheesy smile)

Be blessed and continue to move forward communicating in your own unique way! (smile)

Smile That Button Doesn’t Work Anymore

Most of us have a button. You know, the button that gets pushed when something or somebody _________; or traffic jam, raining and walking with no umbrella, watching favorite tv show and the power goes off; somebody just has to tell you something and 30 minutes later, you’re still listening. Come on, my friends, let’s get real. (shock face) Until we surrender to the Holy Spirit, the mask we wear starts to crack thus the button. Ain’t life grand! (smile)

As we continue, to change and grow, in spiritual maturity, we start to understand how the Word of God ties to walking through life challenges.

20130529-234325.jpg

The bible is full of scriptures to apply to life challenges. For example, in Philippians 4:11-13, Paul states “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”.

By faith, we’re learning to be content. By faith, we’re learning to live with little and with much. Painful sometimes and we praise The Lord! 🙂 We’re learning, we can only do all things through Christ. We’re understanding Philippians 4:19 that states “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus”.

So day to day, we can rely on God supplying what we need as we walk through life regardless of the circumstances. And depending on the many circumstances that life can throw at us, let us praise God, for the victory that would give us acquired experience with this scripture, as well as, Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

As we grow spiritually, and increase our prayer life, our fruit becomes evident when we can smile when something or someone pushes the button and there is no reaction. We can smile because the button doesn’t work anymore! How about that.  (smile)  God bless you and keep moving forward!

As always, feel free to share your thoughts about your button. (smile)

It’s Another Roll With It Wednesday

Wahoo, it’s roll with it Wednesday! We can smile and roll with it, by faith, that God has this day under control. (wink)
We can smile and roll with it because whether someone love us, God does.

We can smile and roll with it because we are renewing our mind and thinking better thoughts.

We can smile and roll with it because we are blessed and highly favored.

We can smile and roll with it because it is, what it is and God is in charge.

20130514-214721.jpg
We can smile and roll with it because if God is for us, who can be against us.

We can smile and roll with it because God does not give us more than we can bear.

We can smile and roll with it because God heals the hurts and we know that this too shall pass.

We can smile and roll with it because Romans 8:28 tells us “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”.

So regardless, of what we see, we can smile and move forward because God is working all things out and we just have to wait on the manifestation of it. Praise The Lord! (smile)

So lets smile and roll with it, and if we must, sing a song! (wink) God bless us, as we keep moving forward.

Change

Sometimes we don’t like change. Change requires moving forward in spite of the challenge to remain still. When you let go and let God, change can be a beautiful thing 🙂

to be continued….

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
