Maturity Begins

Maturity is not when we start speaking big things. It is when we start understanding small things.
~ Author Unknown ~

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
~ 1 Corinthians 13:11~

Hello friends. (smile) Happy Thursday. (wink) The fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance), within us, becomes evident as we grow and mature through good and bad life experiences.

Sharing my thoughts on maturity and spiritual fruit within us.

They will know us by our fruit. (wink)

The words we speak, how we carry ourselves, tell our maturity level and the spiritual fruit within us.

Knowing who we are, in Christ, has nothing to prove. That’s maturity.

The ability to listen, agree to disagree, and bridle the tongue, is maturity.

Ain’t life grand (wink)

Abundant blessings, my friends, because the just shall live by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

They Moments

I don’t have to attend every argument I’m invited to.
~ Author Unknown ~

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
~ Galatians 5:22-23 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Happy Saturday. Hope all is well.

Encouragement to see “They” moments from a different perspective. “They” moments test and serve a purpose.

Home. The Circus (work). Life. These areas are where “They” moments happen. Got fruit?

“They” moments develop and produce spiritual fruit within us.

Love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control).

“They” moments teach.
“They” moments humble.
“They” moments change.

“They” moments are temporary.
“They” moments get easier to handle.
“They” moments eventually gives victory.

Praise The Lord, when we pray and keep the faith through “They” moments.

Abundant blessings, my friends because the just does everything by faith. Praise The Lord.

As always, I welcome your thoughts. (smile)

Faith

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  ~Galatians 5:22-23 ~

Constant kindness can accomplish much.  As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstandings, mistrust and hostility to evaporate. ~ Albert Schweitzer ~

Hello friends.  (smile)  Hope all is well in your world.

Praise The Lord that I see light at the end of the tunnel with the projects I’ve been working.

Praise The Lord that things and stuff and Y moments are easier at the circus.  (wink)

Praise The Lord for answered prayers.

Faith builds every time we stay focused on Him and remember who we are in Christ.

Faith builds every time we remember that nothing is too hard for Him when we release and cast our struggles to Him.

Faith builds every time we are kind to those not kind to us.

Faith builds every time we recognize walking through without complaining becomes powerful within our spirit.

Faith builds every time we choose to let things go.

Faith builds every time we stand and allow God to move on our behalf.

Faith builds every time, we remember God always provides what we need.  Yesterday. Today,  and each day we are blessed to see another day.

Faith builds every time we understand the wisdom of God working all things out for our good.

Blessings, my friends, as we keep the faith!  (smile)

Slice of Heaven

The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring.”
~ Oscar Wilde ~

Hello friends. (smile) Thanks and God bless you for providing a slice of heaven into my life! (smile) and {{hugs}} I appreciate you!

It’s the little things that deliver a slice of heaven into someone’s life.

Providing encouragement in a time of need. Providing a smile can change someone’s challenging moment. Providing strength just by being around. Listening when someone has angst.

2014/12/img_0748.jpg
One of the hardest lessons to remember is that each of us are going through something.

That something will test us to produce more spiritual fruit, (love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control)) within us.

No matter the something, we provide a slice of heaven into someone’s life every time we lessen their angst by the “one another” scriptures below:

Love one another – John 13:34 and John 15:12,17.
Forgive one another – Ephesians 4:32 and Colossians 3:13.
Be servants to one another – Galatians 5:13.
Show hospitality to one another – 1 Peter 4:7-10.
Pray for one another – James 5:16.
Build up (edify) one another – Romans 14:19, 1 Thessalonians 5:11.
Greet one another – Romans 16:16, 1 Peter 5:14.
Forbear one another – Ephesians. 4:1-2 and Colossians 3:13-14.
Do not judge one another – Romans 14:13.
Do not speak evil of one another – James 4:11.
Do not murmur against one another – James 5:9.
Do not bite and devour one another – Galatians 5:15.
Do not provoke and envy one another – Galatians 5:26.
Have the same care for one another – 1 Corinthians 12:25-26.
Receive one another – Romans 15:7.
Teach one another – Colossians 3:16.
Admonish (counsel) one another – Romans 15:14 and Colossians 3:16.
Submit to one another – Ephesians 5:21-22.
Confess your sins to one another – James 5:16.
Do not lie to one another – Colossians 3:9.
Be kind to one another – Ephesians 4:32.
Comfort one another – 1 Thessalonians 4:18, 5:11.

Blessings, friends, as we provide a slice of heaven into each other’s life today. (smile)

Confidence

Confidence is something you create within yourself by believing in who you are.
~ Unknown Author ~

For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
~ Proverbs 3:26 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Confidence grows each time we build upon our belief in ourself. Just like faith and courage grows, the more we step out and do it, by faith. (smile)

To be honest, my confidence grows each time God nudges me outside of my comfort zone. (shock face) Praise The Lord! He has a plan for each of us.

I stand on Romans 8:28 daily because God really does work everything out. (smile) It may take time to see it but in time, we do. (a wink and a smile)

20140709-232914-84554986.jpg
It’s a beautiful thing to have confidence, faith and courage, along with the fruit of the spirit! (big smile) Anything is possible!

I’ve changed my (cheesy smile) to (big smile) because I can (smile) Would not want someone thinking I’m talking about cheese! (wink) Confidence to attempt humor. (smile)

As confidence grows, we should careless what X, Y or Z says, because bottom line, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. (shock face) Sometimes, it’s just information.

1 Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Careless.

Confidence is the ability to be different. Confidence is the ability to believe in what you bring to the table. Confidence is trusting God every single time. (smile)

Friends, todays blessings is to walk, by faith, with confidence because we are loved and we can say “I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.” Praise The Lord!

As always, you’re welcome to share your thoughts. (smile)

Blessed

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~ Romans 8:28 ~

Hello friends. (smile) We are truly blessed. Regardless, of the season, we are walking through, we’re blessed.

I used to dread Mondays until I realized I’m blessed to see Mondays. (shock face) Ain’t life grand! (wink and a smile)

Sure, there maybe times that things and stuff or fill in the blank________________, causes angst, nevertheless, keep the faith that God has a plan and it’s something better. (smile)

20140615-225856-82736349.jpg
He can use all things to bring about our spiritual growth. (gritted teeth smile)

Recently, I had a few disappointments and another betrayal. I cried while praying, I thanked God that I was still standing and was blessed with more fruit of long-suffering and self control for my trouble! (shock face)

No worries, all is right in my world. Praise The Lord. (smile)

Sometimes, pain and hurt forces change. Learn to put things at the foot of the cross period.

No talking about woulda, coulda, shoulda. Chose to recognize that we blessed and God is in charge.

The process of spiritual growth becomes easier when we surrender.

How about you, what are your thoughts on spiritual growth? Inquiring minds want to know. (smile)

Today, regardless, of things and stuff or X, Y or Z, smile because you are blessed! (smile)

Wahoo, It’s Friday

Don’t let people drive you crazy when you know it’s in walking distance.
~Author Unknown~

Hello friends. (smile) How was your Friday? I hope it was awesome! (smile)

Just a reminder, I blog when I can until I discipline my time better. (shock face)

Ever have those days where you run out of time? (gritted teeth smile)

20140530-170820-61700120.jpg
By Friday, I’m toast. I keep going because of Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I keep the faith that every challenge is God equipping me to walk through, while producing more spiritual fruit. Sometimes, grace covers me when I stumble.

Self control and long suffering are areas that my tests just keep on coming. (smile)

I changed my perspective on how I choose to see each challenge. I see them as a positive blessing of God working within me.

I share these thoughts, in hope, that it blesses others to see their situations differently.

It is, what it is, until it was. Today, thank God, I walked through a was. Praise The Lord! (smile)

Blessings as you have a blessed weekend. (smile)

Risk

Wahoo, TGIF, my friends (smile) This quote spoke to me! It represents taking chances or another way, to look at this, would be faith. Life happens, regardless of our status in life. (shock face)

I will mention it again, we all bring something to the table. Welcome to my table (smile)

Today, I’m serving up faith and encouragement. It takes courage to be different. It takes courage not to follow the crowd. It takes courage to come here everyday and share parts of life, sometimes with no feedback. It takes courage to ignore less than kind remarks. My friends, that’s faith, doing it anyway, day after day. (smile)

20140109-230833.jpg
Many search the internet for various things and stuff. Keep writing, keep posting. Our words will always be there. God gives free will to choose. When ready, eyes are open to the very message needed to be seen! (smile)

It’s a beautiful thing when we get our “aha” moments. To truly understand living life, is when we’re comfortable and free to be ourself. We learn to adapt and adjust to surroundings and others. Sometimes, it is what, it is. Roll with it! (smile)

Life is too short to stay on the sidelines afraid to live life or worst, having a life of woulda, coulda, shoulda! (shock face) Have faith and choose to believe it is possible. It is different for each of us. Speak positive things to it. Have the courage to prepare for it because it will come, when we’re ready! (smile)

Here’s the thing, the past does not determine who we are today. If we must look back, look for reference only–not validation for today. There will always be something or someone trying to push a button to make us react.

Practice the pause, breathe, smile and say nothing. This is a tough one to do, it does require spiritual fruit–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control) and practice.

Remember, this is one where my retest is in the double digits! There is a mountain that has my foots print all over it! (shock face) Thank God for mercy and grace! Friends, we must keep our sense of humor to stay balanced. (grin)

I have faith that someday, I will pass the retest! (smile)

Let us always remember God can use all things, as stated in Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Be blessed, by faith, and have a marvelous day! (a wink and smile)

I welcome your thoughts.

Matthew 5:38-48, Love for Enemies

Hello my friends, hope you are enjoying your day. (smile) Seems I can’t use my emoticons anymore (sad face), something about them being code and blocking feeds.

So my friends, unless someone can send me a way to display (smiles), I have reverted back to putting my expressions in parentheses (shock face) (smile). No worries, it’ll give me something else to do! (grin)

In one of my earlier blog post, I shared about my love for The Lord! I am led by the Holy Spirit and enjoy a deep and personal relationship with Jesus! All of my postings are written from a “we” perspective because as Jesus changed my life, and my mind was renewed, my “I” became “we”. (smile)

20140104-124102.jpg
It is not my intention to offend or judge anybody by my way of expression. By faith, I hope the things and stuff shared helps someone. (smile)

Love for enemies requires six things: faith, maturity, spiritual fruit, choice, forgiveness and surrendered to the Holy Spirit. It comes down to spirit versus flesh.

Having spiritual fruit, love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control), gets us closer to adapting and adjusting to others things and stuff, around us.

I’ve mentioned before, it all starts with us. Love, change, growth, forgiveness, things and stuff. The “it” has to come from within. We can’t give what we don’t have. God is in the people business. God is light and love. He expects us to love those around us, as He loves us. His love does not stop when we stumble.

I can tell you that the more fruit within, the easier loving our enemies becomes, especially when we’re obedient to God! Ever wonder why some people are in our lives?

Most times, they’re the very ones, God uses to help us grow. (gritted teeth smile)

Everyone has a testimony about someone and their thing or their stuff that hurt us, betrayed us, abused us, or fill in the blank ______________ . We have to forgive them, in order to move past the thing. God will take care of the someone, someday. Reap and sow.

Look at verse 44, we’re to love, bless, do good and pray for our enemies. Yes, this is a life long process. Some days are easier than others to love our enemies. We can thank God for His mercy and His grace when we stumble!

Here’s the thing, sometimes, we can love some from a distance! (shock face) This is where God’s mercy and grace helps us keep moving forward in our life; so that negative stuff does not enter into our heart! The key is not to beat ourself up when we stumble. There will always be another opportunity to show love to our enemies!

Be blessed! (smile)

Forgiveness

Forgiveness works like prayer, the more we do it, the easier it becomes. It’s another part in the renewing of our mind process. 😁

Forgiveness brings freedom as we release it to God. It keeps us from the “coulda, woulda and shoulda” replays. 😰 Even with the gifts and talents God gave us, we still can’t un ring that bell! 😨

Things and stuff (ours and others) will always bring challenges. Folks will speak and do unkind things to us, Matthews 5:43-44, tells us, 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

We give God glory each and every time we pray, show love and kindness to those around us.

20131109-000245.jpg
The more our spiritual fruit grows–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control); forgiveness becomes a choice.

Until we can forgive regularly, the “coulda, woulda and shoulda” will replay and keep us stuck, while choking our spiritual fruit. Have faith and meditate on the scriptures below to renew our mind:

John 16:33 – These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Romans 8:28-And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.

God bless and have a great weekend! Meet you back here, by faith, on Tuesday! 😀

Bible Verses for Tough Times

Challenges. Change. Growth. Things and stuff. No matter what we label it–this happens, to each of us. Regardless. Life is a constant process of change and growth to produce more fruit in our lives (love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control)). 😰

The goal is to walk through without complaining. Just so you know, I am in my double digits retest! 😁 I got to sing the 🎶🎶going around the mountain one more time.🎶🎶 😜 I realized after singing yesterday that negativity breeds complaining. 😰

20131016-223506.jpg

We must keep the faith! God is always in charge. Whatever season we are walking through, things and stuff is temporary! There is always a scripture, to speak to things and stuff, to help us grow spiritually. 😁

This too shall pass, just not today. Of all the spiritual fruit, long-suffering and self control gets tested the most. Think of it as a wilderness experience without luxuries. The key–not to beat ourself up when we stumble. Sometimes, it is, what it is! 😜 Roll with it and let it go!

None of it changes this truth–God is always with us. We have his mercy and grace. He loves us unconditionally. Praise The Lord!

God bless us, by faith, as we walk through our season, meditating on Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Let thy will be done.

Love is (Part 2)

Continuing from Love is (Part 1), to truly love others, we must deal with our stuff first. (shock face) To love like Jesus requires being spirit led and spiritual fruit. Without them, love becomes conditional or non existent.

Just as change and growth is an individual thing; love is individual and begins with us. It gets back to life is a process of changes, as long as we crawl, walk or run on this earth. (smile) Love is a choice. Bottom line, God loves us in spite of our stuff. He may not like things we do but at no time does He withhold His love or stop loving us. This is our goal too. To love in spite of what someone does. Can we get a witness? (wink)

20130915-204643.jpg

As we grow and mature, we deal with our stuff, and we’re able to love ourself, flaws and all. Psst, nobody is perfect except Jesus. So speak to that perfection lie. Loving ourself opens us up to love others. God will put people and things in our life to help us grow. (smile)

God know what it takes to bring us to our knees. (shock face) Dealing with our stuff can be painful. We can thank God for his mercy and his grace. We can thank God for prayer. We can thank God for faith. The more we choose to let the Holy Spirit work in us, love starts to flow. (smile) Praise The Lord!

Spiritual fruit in us–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control) allows love to flow and draw people to us because light shines from within. (smile) It’s a beautiful thing to love others by showing kindness and compassion. God gets the glory!

Growing in love does not happen overnight. It’s a lifelong process that only God knows when we are ready and complete. He will keep pruning and removing anything keeping our fruit from growing. (nervous smile) Ain’t life grand! (wink)

To love our neighbor as we love ourself requires spiritual fruit and maturity. (shock face) Remember, God is love and there is no darkness in Him. Let’s not forget, God created us different. We may be similar but we are different. How we express or show love maybe different until we learn unconditional love. Sometimes, we harp and complaint because someone does not love us as we think we need to be loved.

Here’s the thing, only God through His Son, Jesus can meet all our needs. No human can give us what we lack within except Jesus. As we grow, whatever is missing within develops. Love is action. Love is giving and forgiving. Love keeps on loving until God changes that someones heart. Love is adapting and adjusting. Love can’t be forced. Love never fails.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, A Time For Everything

What a perfect illustration to Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

20130913-213817.jpg

As long as we live, we will experience seasons in our life. (shock face) Seasons to make us grow, mature, all in all, change. Remember 🎶🎶going around the mountain, one more time.🎶🎶 (wink)

We must keep our sense of humor because some seasons can be tough. Learning to live, by faith, and adjusting to stuff can make some seasons bearable. Sometimes, we have to get out of our own way. (nervous smile)

Being able to share with each other, through seasons, is a blessing. Having family and friends is a blessing. Casting cares to our Heavenly Father is a blessing. Faith is a blessing. Learning to look, at seasons, from a different perspective, is a blessing. (smile) Thank God for his mercy and grace!

God bless us, as we choose, by faith, more spiritual fruit within us–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control) to walk through our seasons of life and let thy will be done. (smile)

Life

Life is always changing. Romans 8:28 says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”.

20130622-024607.jpg

We must be open to changes in life. God is always in charge and can use all things in life (opportunities) to keep us moving forward.

Opportunities help us grow and adapt to one another. Opportunities will test the fruit or lack of fruit in us–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control). (shock face)

Life is about adapting to stuff that is different.
Life is about adapting to people who are different.
Life is about respecting a persons right to choose–whether we agree or not.
Life is about encouraging one another with our hopes and dreams.
Life is about respecting each others thoughts and the different ways we communicate.
Life is about loving like Jesus. (1Corinthians 13:3-8 (NKJV): 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails).
Life is about forgiveness.

If God loves us, who are we not to follow his lead?

Speak To The Lies To Renew Our Mind

This post was originally published on 13 June 2013 and updated on 10 November 2018.

Hello friends. (smile) At some point, we all go through a season of troubling thoughts. We must learn to speak the Word of God to the lies to renew our mind.

Memories and thoughts. Truth and lies. Negative and positive. Light and dark. Our past and present life experiences shape our memories and thoughts, to include our perception of ourselves and what we believe in.

This could also be called baggage. We reinforce these things within us on a regular basis. There are times we can recall every negative event and word spoken, and dwell on it again and again until we become so agitated our flesh man rises…and it’s not pretty.

We can’t move forward, we just become stuck! We can be our own worst enemy!
20130612-222116.jpg
Some of our memories and thoughts keep one or more of the following traits in our life: fear, anger, resentment, bitterness, pride, self-centeredness, stubbornness, need to control, perfectionist, critical and/or judgmental, or filled in the ___________.

None of these are spiritual traits and all of these will keep us from complete surrender to God and living a peaceful spirit led life and having the fruit of the spirit–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control) within us. Let’s not grieve the Holy Spirit.

Any memory or thought that is negative or dark, and does not align to the Word of God is a lie and we need to speak the truth to it. As we replace lies with truth, our mind gets renewed which changes our thoughts which changes our actions which changes what we think about ourselves and our beliefs.

Learning to love ourselves, flaws and all is the first step to speaking the truth to ourselves. God created us to be in relationships–with Him and each other. When he created us, he put a desire for him into us. Some of us have been running from him our whole lives. Only God can fill the void we feel inside us and heal hurts.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
~ Hosea 4:6 ~

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
~ 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ~

For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
~ Hebrews 4:12 ~

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.
~ Romans 12:2 ~

The past does not define who we’re are today unless we let it. Sometimes we have to let go of things and let God. In the name of Jesus, let’s speak to the lies! Times are tougher than ever. Thoughts are running amok! We must be honest and rip the band aids off. We must remove the mask and expose the lies we tell ourselves and others. Remember actions speak louder than words! (smile)

Sometimes, we seem to be in an instant gratification season. Some don’t take time to listen. Some don’t make time for God. Some are carrying stuff from the past that overwhelms those that love them. Some are carrying burdens that God never meant for them to carry. Some like to argue and control things that causes strife. Wrong thoughts are destructive and stifles growth and destroys people. The Word of God has a chapter and verse for any subject to equipped us to speak to the lies! (smile)

I welcome your thoughts . (smile)

To be continued…..
