Roll With It Wednesday

Sometimes, the blessing is remembering victory because we’ve been there and done that. Praise The Lord, He walked us through it. (smile)

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

Hello friends, I just love roll with it Wednesdays (wink and a smile) Life is tough enough without having something to bring a smile or change the focus. Roll with it, does that for me. (smile) As well as, singing a favorite song because Romans 8:28 says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” We can get comfort, from this scripture, knowing that He can work all things out. Roll with it!

20140114-223927.jpg
Everyday, we encounter things and stuff. There will always be something or someone just waiting to push our button. Traffic. Sleepless night. Noise. Fill in the blank_____________.

Roll with it equates to letting it go! Acknowledging it is what, it is. Life is too short to stress over something or someone. (shock face) Let it go!

Laughter

Hello friends (smile) I’m stuck with work and chores this weekend. I encourage you to laugh and keep the faith this weekend because we’re blessed! (a wink and a smile)

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

Its true that laughter really is cheap medicine. It’s a prescription anyone can afford. And best of all, you can fill it right now.
~ Unknown Author ~

Hello friends. (smile) It’s a beautiful thing to smile and enjoy a deep down in your belly laugh. (smile)

Laughter, sometimes, reminds us to lighten up! Enjoy life. Have fun. Roll with it. (cheesy smile)

Yes, it can be hard to laugh, when we’re going through things and stuff or Y is working that last nerve. (shock face)

Ever notice, how God can send someone to bring a smile or tell us something to make us laugh, before the flesh man makes an appearance? Many days, I’ve thanked Him for his timing and His grace. (smile)

I laughed so hard the first time I saw the phase “Not my Circus, not my monkeys.” I see this as a reminder to mind…

It’s Another Roll With It Wednesday

It’s hectic at the circus! (smile) Have a blessed roll with it day!

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

Wahoo, it’s roll with it Wednesday! We can smile and roll with it, by faith, that God has this day under control. (wink)
We can smile and roll with it because whether someone love us, God does.

We can smile and roll with it because we are renewing our mind and thinking better thoughts.

We can smile and roll with it because we are blessed and highly favored.

We can smile and roll with it because it is, what it is and God is in charge.

20130514-214721.jpg
We can smile and roll with it because if God is for us, who can be against us.

We can smile and roll with it because God does not give us more than we can bear.

We can smile and roll with it because God heals the hurts and we know that this too shall pass.

We can smile and roll with it because…

Boundaries To Let Go

It’s a beautiful thing when we exercise boundaries. (wink) Life gets a whole lot easier! Wahoo!

Praise The Lord because the joy of The Lord is my strength at this very moment. Friends, blessings as you enjoy your weekend.

I’ve got a special date with my Lord and Savior, Jesus. (wink)

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

As we mature, there comes a time when we need boundaries, to know when, to let go and love from a distance. Adapting and adjusting to trials and tribulation, and things and/or stuff requires being spirit led with fruit of the spirit as mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23.

Possessing love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control) within us helps with trials and tribulations, and things and/or stuff.
20131124-211415.jpg

Trials and tribulations, things and/or stuff happens. The test is how we react to it. There will always be something or someone testing us. It’s all part of life, change and growth. Many times, we forget to breathe and focus to stay spiritually calm.  (wink)   The flesh man rises.

Flesh man rising is where a warning should register but nope, we proceed anyway. Sometimes, we…

~Ann Friend ~

Thank you all for being a friend! {{hugs}}

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

Wahoo, TGIF, my friends (smile) This quote spoke to me! It represents taking chances or another way, to look at this, would be faith. Life happens, regardless of our status in life. (shock face)

I will mention it again, we all bring something to the table. Welcome to my table (smile)

Today, I’m serving up faith and encouragement. It takes courage to be different. It takes courage not to follow the crowd. It takes courage to come here everyday and share parts of life, sometimes with no feedback. It takes courage to ignore less than kind remarks. My friends, that’s faith, doing it anyway, day after day. (smile)

20130913-213817.jpg

As long as we live, we will experience seasons in our life. (shock face) Seasons to make us grow, mature, all in all, change. Remember 🎶🎶going around the mountain, one more time.🎶🎶 (wink)

We must keep our sense of humor because some seasons can be tough. Learning to live, by faith, and adjusting to stuff can make some seasons bearable. Sometimes, we have to get out of our own way. (nervous smile)

Being able to share with each other, through seasons, is a blessing. Having family and friends is a blessing. Casting cares to our Heavenly Father is a blessing. Faith is a blessing. Learning to look, at seasons, from a different perspective, is a blessing. (smile) Thank…

Always Pray

Thank you for your prayers. Let us keep our faith and trust in God during the misdirection of information, building of angst and testing of our faith.

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

Another prayer to use as we grow to love like Jesus does. Let us remember growth is a life long process. Sometimes we stumble and are not loving, yet God continues to love us anyway. Maybe, when we can all love as Jesus loves….oh, the possibilities!

20130527-193635.jpg

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NKJV) – Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails.

God bless you!

Change is A Lifelong Process

At some point, we all must change! Have a blessed day.

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

God is always in control, even when we don’t understand the why of something.

Change is a lifelong process of challenges, we must walk through to know the will of God for our lives.

God use challenges , whether it’s a person or group of people, place (work) or things (traffic, long lines) to help produce more fruit in us–love (giving), joy (gladness), peace (free from worry and fear), long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness (generosity), faith (dependability), meekness (gentleness) and temperance (self-control). Fruit, as well as, our spiritual maturity takes time to grow and mature. (shock face)

20130511-061809.jpg

Sometimes change is about adapting without complaining.
Sometimes, it is, what it is, keep moving forward.
Sometimes, we just aren’t ready for the next step.
Sometimes, we allow the “what if” to stop us.
Sometimes, our pride and/or stubbornness blocks our fruit from developing.
Sometimes, our free will to choose keeps us…

~ Philippians 4:13 ~

Hello friends (smile) Today, let’s replace negative thoughts, about ourself, one thought at a time. (shock face)

Renewing the mind is serious business to keep moving forward. Look back at the past, as a gauge, not to dwell or give up. (nervous smile)

Replacing thoughts is another part, in the process, of growing and maturing. Thus, renewing the mind. (gritted teeth smile) Old habits die hard!

Sometimes, singing or praising Jesus can stop thoughts that can overwhelm us. (smile) Finding something that works is the key.

Love From A Distance

Sometimes loving from a distance brings peace of mind as we pray for X, Y and Z. Only God can change a heart.

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

God always knows what is best for us. God never gives us more than we can bear. God gives us courage to love from a distance. Sometimes we must stand in faith, trusting God, by taking our hands off of situations that He knows we can’t handle. We are not God. God is the only one who know the reasons behind a why.

20130427-060040.jpg

Hurting people hurt people. Remember “power of words” and “free will to choose”–trying to interfere when God is working–gets our feelings hurt.

Once upon a time, someone loved us from a distance. The best thing we can do is have patience and keep them lifted up in prayer. Trust God to walk them through. Drop a {{smile}} or {{hug}} in a text or email to let them know someone is thinking of them. Keep moving forward, even if there is no reply back. Remember God is…

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? ~ Jeremiah 32:27 ~
Another illustration of faith and trust in God. Every single time!

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

Challenges. Troubles. Things. Also known as trials and tribulations. (gritted teeth smile) At some point, we endure trials and tribulations on top of our stuff. (shock face) The good news is that God never gives us more than we can bear. We must pray and give it to God. Cast it, by faith, and let God work on our behalf. (smile)
20130916-220725.jpg
Here’s the thing, don’t take it back! Keep our hands off. (nervous smile) This means no talking about it! No worrying about it! No asking somebody, “What do you think?” Let go and Let God.

As a good friend, of mine, likes to say “leave it, at the foot, of the cross.” (smile) Friends, we must find little ways to renew our mind during trials and tribulations and things and stuff! Spoiler alert–I use things and stuff, as another way to fill in the blank. (wink and a smile)…

JESUS IS RISEN A Reblog from Prophetic Voice

A reblog, of this awesome post, from my friend and sister in Christ, Shade. (smile) Have a blessed and Happy Easter!

Original post located: http://www.shadeakinbiyi.com/2014/04/20/jesus-is-risen/

20140420-072912.jpg
“Where, Death, is your victory? Where, Death, is your power to hurt?” 56 Death gets its power to hurt from sin, and sin gets its power from the Law. 57 But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! (Corinthians 15:55-57)

He Died
The crucifixion of Jesus was a public display. The whole town came to watch Him die. He hung on the tree between two criminals naked. He was battered, disfigured, covered in His own blood, nailed to the cross looked absolutely helpless and hopeless. A Gusty and Horrific Scene.

Now for a moment, imagine how the disciples felt. What must have been racing through their mind as they went into hiding? They had given up their whole life to follow Jesus. They believed in Him. He was their Hero. The long anticipated Messiah. They dotted on His every word, His teaching, the promise of a better and an everlasting kingdom. They were full of hope, they witnessed Him healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, they saw the lame leaped like calve and the dead returned from the grave, raised back to life.

Then, all of sudden, in an instant everything changed! Every promise, and every hope disappeared into the thin air like a vapour! Every dream crashed and their world turned upside down. They faced the possibility of being crucified like their Master!

He Rose!
Now, in the middle of this turbulence, right in the midst of their hopelessness, pain, confusion and despair, out from no where, Bang! JESUS appeared, ALIVE! In an instant, again, everything changed! And In the flash of a moment everything Jesus told them, all their hopes and dreams came back to Life! Every promise Jesus made was fulfilled. His Word literally came to Pass before their eyes! Jesus is Alive! The WORD of God is ALIVE!! Hallelujah!!!

Today be encouraged in your situation, let your hope come Alive! Don’t allow discouragement to oppress your mind and hold you down. Don’t allow fear to steal your dream and your life. Put the devil where he truly belongs; under your feet! Believe in the Lord. Arise by faith in the Word of God and be healed in Jesus name!

Prayer Confession:
Dear Father thank you for sending Jesus to take the punishment I deserve. He has been judged for me. He exchanged His live for mine. I now have a new life, the very life of Jesus Christ is in me! It is impossible for sin, sickness and death to hold me hostage any more. I declare that I will not live a useless life, I will not die without fulfilling God’s plan for my life. I will live to a full ripe age. My life in Christ is exciting, I have passed from death to life, from sin to righteousness, from sickness to health, from poverty to abundance, from barrenness to fruitfulness. My life is for the glory of God, I will bless my world, constantly making progress, and advancing the kingdom of God on a daily basis. In Jesus powerful name! Amen!

Reflection: “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts” (Hebrews 4:12)

God’s Hand

Good morning my friends (smile) Woke up with this oldie but goodie quote on my mind. Praise The Lord for the reblog button (smile) Enjoy and have a blessed day! (smile)

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

This profound quote will resonate to us who walk by faith! It symbolizes having faith in God. Walk by faith, not by sight.

20131003-001933.jpg

Releasing things and stuff, by faith, to God, brings deliverance and victory in God’s timing. He knows when we’re ready. As faith in Him grows, He will give a glimpse or reminder of his hands working, in our situation. Again, there is nothing to hard for God. (smile)

So much of life ties to Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God bless us, by faith, as we leave everything in your hands to eventually see Your hands in everything. Let thy will be done.

Hello, friends! We’re blessed to see the end of another week! Thank God! (smile)

Remember the movie Cool Hand Luke and the quote–“What we got here…is failure to communicate.” (smile) So let’s communicate! (smile)

Our message today is having the courage to communicate in our own way. After all, God make us different. We all bring something to the table! We should welcome and encourage each others communication styles. (nervous smile)

Love is

It’s a beautiful thing to know that God loves us unconditionally just because He is love! God bless us and Your will be done! 😀

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

Love is a commandment. Mark 12:30-31 says “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these”.

We love God . We love thy neighbor as thy self . Whoops a 🚩 on the play–some of us don’t like ourselves 😰 which hinders love. We have listened and told ourselves, so many things, that we want this or need that to ______________. Some of us are looking for love in all the wrong places (another song to add to our repertoire) 😜 when all we need is Jesus. This is where the rubber meets the road for us and our choices…

Smile That Button Doesn’t Work Anymore

Blessings as we revisit Smile, That Button Doesn’t Work Anymore (smile)

Ann - A Friend of Jesus 2013

Most of us have a button. You know, the button that gets pushed when something or somebody _________; or traffic jam, raining and walking with no umbrella, watching favorite tv show and the power goes off; somebody just has to tell you something and 30 minutes later, you’re still listening. Come on, my friends, let’s get real. (shock face) Until we surrender to the Holy Spirit, the mask we wear starts to crack thus the button. Ain’t life grand! (smile)

As we continue, to change and grow, in spiritual maturity, we start to understand how the Word of God ties to walking through life challenges.

20130529-234325.jpg

The bible is full of scriptures to apply to life challenges. For example, in Philippians 4:11-13, Paul states “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to…

The body of Christ is a vital, living organism.  If it is not growing, it is not healthy. The fact that thousands of churches are closing every year, and thousands of others are losing members in droves begs the question: “why”?

One of the big reasons that I have seen is that many churches and seemingly many denominations have become ingrown.  Focus is too often on worshipping tradition and defending the faith…

Only God Can is the Word of the Day

When we’re ready, God can change us. Be blessed by this reblog! (wink)

We all have stuff. We all need prayer. Both are processes we must walk through as God creates opportunities for change.

God created everyone different. We’ve had different life experiences. There are things only God can change. Free will to choose still causes challenges among us.

Some have wounds so deep only God can heal. Some are angry and only God can deliver them. Some are in unloving relationships only God can give courage to talk about. Some are grieving over a failed marriage, broken heart, death of someone they loved and only God can heal the hurt or feeling of abandonment.

When we think about how words are used, what do we learn?

Words have power–which is why we should be careful how we use them.  Just for a moment, I would ask you to think about “de” and how the enemy uses words to keep us in his power.

The DEvil attempts to keep us DEfeated by convincing us that all the negative things we go through are all we are going to have in our lives.  The devil convincingly DEceives us into believing lies and connives to keep us DEpressed and oppressed by his DEceptions so some of us get to a place where we DEny our beliefs and our feelings about just about anything.

It is with this power of DEnial that he keeps us from being DELIVERED from everything that would keep us out of position from being blessed by God.  The unbelievers “deny” God’s existence and…

Read:
The Doubting Christian – If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things. – Rene’ Descartes
Doubt isn’t the opposite of faith, it is an element of faith. – Paul Tillich

The Agnostic – Question with boldness even the existence of God; because, if there be one, He must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear. – Thomas Jefferson

Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, buthe who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”  (NKJV)

Continuing on from yesterday, with how God through His inerrant Word, explains a second category of false faith…  This occurs, where the “want to be Christian” has not responded to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, that…

Romans 1:16-17For I am notashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”  (NKJV)

There is much in the Bible about faith…  But there are two kinds of faith…faith in the Lord…and saving faith in the Lord…  One is a false faith, which is a belief that one is saved from their sins…but only produces this belief in the mind of the unredeemed sinner…without any change of the heart…  This kind of false faith is extremely dangerous…because a…

The Price Of Forgiveness (4/27/13)f

Thank God, we can forgive people and forgive ourselves.

THE RIVER WALK

Read: Judges 7:1-8:17, Luke 23:13-43, Psalm 97:1-98:9, Proverbs 14:7-8

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34)

crucified

Relate: What is the price of forgiveness? What is the price of the inability to forgive? Some sad stuff has happened in my life but not much bad stuff has happened. I’ve experienced death and loss but I’ve never been in an abusive or cheating relationship. I had great parents and did not experience anything significant in the way of neglect, verbal, or physical abuse growing up. I haven’t experienced true bullying, never been mugged or raped, never been loaded into a train with a destination like Auschwitz, and never been bought and sold by a slave trader. It is hard for me to understand how hard it might be for another to forgive.

When I meet with someone who has faced injustice or abuse in ways like…

Tater People

Morning Story and Dilbert

Some people never seem motivated to participate, but are just content to watch while others do the work.
They are called “Speck Taters”.

Some people never do anything to help, but are gifted at finding fault with the way others do the work.
They are called “Comment Taters”.

Some people are very bossy and like to tell others what to do, but don’t want to soil their own hands.
They are called “Dick Taters”.

Some people are always looking to cause problems by asking others to agree with them. It is too hot or too cold, too sour or too sweet.
They  are called “Agie Taters”.

There are those who say they will help, but somehow just never get around to actually doing the promised help.
They are called “Hezzie Taters”.

Some people can put up a front and pretend  to be someone they are not.
They are called

Don’t Dismiss The Broken

Carolyn Rice, Author

So many of us pass by things that don’t look good on the outside; but the truth is, because of this, so many are missing out on what God sees as precious.

For God has hidden treasure in many people that don’t “look good” on the outside. They don’t look like leaders, they don’t look like someone who loves the Lord. Instead they seem broken, they seem weak, they seem trampled. They may have tattoos, they may not look like you and I. But God has hidden in them seeds of life.

When God gets hold of someone  who’s broken, they realize their need for Him, and He goes about restoring them to what He created them to be.

It’s just like walking through an antique store. We who are just browsing through might see an old, worn, maybe dented piece of furniture. We might pass that by for something…

An Open Door For God To Work

Awesome!

Carolyn Rice, Author

Bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse (Romans 12:14 NIV).

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing (1 Peter 3:9 NIV).

This seems like a tall order. And to some, it can even make your skin crawl when you first start doing it. But really, it’s for you. Just like forgiveness, it gives you freedom to walk away from those who have done you wrong, keeping yourself in alignment with God. When we let go of things and let God have them, He’s able to work in those situations.

Just the other day, someone made a negative comment on one of my posts on Facebook. It wasn’t mean or nasty, it was just negative. I decided to ignore it. To my surprise, someone else answered…

Jesus changed my life by blessing me with a new life filled with love, acceptance and speaking His Word to any challenge and believing by faith. He helped me to know Him better through His Word and spending time talking with Him. He is my best friend forever (BFF), my defender, my comforter, my rock. 🙂 Thank you Jesus 🙂

Hangin' Out With God

CROSS & CROWN

Jesus the Christ:  “… There is no other name under heaven, that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” (Acts 3:12).

There is no other “religion” on the face of the earth — no other religious leader — no other dogma — no other doctrine — no other system of belief — that offers man the guarantee of salvation from his own sinfulness and from this cursed world — into a life of eternal joy and freedom from all that harms and destroys.

Every other system of religion offers man a life of working, struggling, straining, following rules, and sacrificing in an effort to earn an eternity on a higher plane. But even in the midst of the working and sacrificing, the disciple of those religions is never confident of his eternal rewards. He has a hope that he may get those rewards if he’s good…

Scams

My fellow bloggers, please join me in praying for all the single men and women duped by scams on the Internet.
Thank you Lord Jesus for giving me the courage to reach out to Saints in prayer for all single men and women duped by scams via the Internet. It is my faith that you can touch all of us to unite in prayer giving all single men and women out there the peace and dignity to move on without anyone’s judgement. It is unfortunate that it happened and it is our prayer that you move in a mighty way to heal and love us through this unfortunate time. Lead us to open up and not carry the burden. Lead us to forgive so we can move on, in Jesus name, I pray, Amen

Making A Case For Forgiveness

Awesome

Coco Michelle's Magazine

Lately, there’s been a lot of talk about forgiveness. There’s nothing new about the virtues of forgiveness.  This is a core Christian principle. It seems that sometimes we think that judgement (of one another) is the core principle of Christianity but actually love and forgiveness are what we should be striving to acheive.

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32

Notice that there are no exceptions to that command to forgive. It doesn’t say…If that person really really hurt you, go ahead and hold onto that grudge.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

As our creator, God knows what is best for us. He doesn’t tell us to do something simply to show us He is in charge. He knows that failing to forgive ultimately hurts us. It doesn’t hurt that other person when we refuse to forgive them.  If they didn’t care about hurting…
