20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. 21 There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.
Sharing my thoughts…….
A heart rooted in the Word, of God, has depth and love that flows within freely.
Wisdom and understanding, along with patience and maturity, gives the ability to listen completely before offering just any old advice.
Get to the heart of a situation.
Praise The Lord, for grace, when Y moments drill for the nerve. (wink)
Wisdom is a wise choice and learned experience with a bridled tongue.
Wisdom comes from The Lord.
Scripture reference to verse:
The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.
Faith, spiritual fruit and the Word of God brings a renewal of our mind, as well as, growth and maturity–all from within us! (smile) It’s a continuing process as long as we crawl, walk and run on this earth. (smile) Praise The Lord!
The Holy Spirit and obedience are required for faith, spiritual fruit and knowing the Word to keep moving forward in our Christian walk. (smile)
We learn by repetition. Kind of like, a habit. It is said that it takes 21 days to form a habit.
Can we get a volunteer to put this to the test? Anyone? Anyone? Remember, we must keep our sense of humor! (smile)

Please feel free to share your thoughts. We’re all friends here. (smile)
Friends, we must have faith. 😃 Hebrews 11:6 tells us “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” And Romans 10:17 tells us “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Even faith the size of a mustard seed can grow! 😁
Having faith in God changes everything. Knowing the Word of God for ourselves, as well as a personal relationship with God, through His son Jesus, deepens our faith to have freedom to live life knowing who we are! Sons and Daughters of the King! 😉 Our self worth is in Him by faith! Nothing or no one can change that by faith! 😀 Can we get a witness? 😉
Faith in God changes how we relate to stuff. Faith in God changes how we think. There is no doubt. There is no if. There is no confusion. Friends, the deeper our faith, the less we entertain negative thoughts or stuff! 😃 Praise The Lord!
Faith can also teach us contentment. What ever state God has us in today is temporary. Let us keep the faith as it relates to our health, finances, marital status, or fill in the blank________. 😁 God has a plan and as we trust in Him by faith, His will be done. 😉
Sometimes, our faith will be tested, and it’s those times, we trust and lean more on Him as we walk by faith and not by sight! Sometimes, we will have to praise Him through the testing of our faith, especially those days when we want to question stuff. The more fruit in our life, the easier it is to walk by faith!
It’s a beautiful thing to grow and become more spiritual each day by faith! Have faith and roll with it! 😜

Top of the day to our blessed afriendofjesus2013 friends! When I started this blog, I knew nothing about blogging or what to expect. I am humbled and grateful by the whole blogging experience. I just love The Lord! I am led by the Holy Spirit and enjoy a deep and personal relationship with Jesus! All of my postings are written from a “we” perspective because as Jesus changed my life, and my mind was renewed, my “I” became “we”. It is not my intention to offend or judge anybody by my way of expression.
Today, I am writing from both (I and We) perspectives. God put a message on my heart that we hope opens eyes and gives hope to someone to forgive and release all the stuff being carried to him (God). God is the only one who can heal every area within us and set us free to live and enjoy life. That freedom becomes a testimony of his love and what it can do! Praise God! God is the only one who can change and convict hearts.
God gives us different ways to communicate. With the various ways, we can send out information, Facebook, Twitter, etc, our intent for the “Speak To The Lies To Renew Our Minds” was to give awareness that our thoughts and memories about ourselves can be lies or distorted. We all have stuff that we are working through. Again, we can be our own worst enemy.
The things we think about ourselves keep us oppressed, depressed or creates stress that is or can destroy us. These lies keep us paralyzed living with fear and doubt; anger and pride. These four are the big ones that unless we learn to speak to the stuff from the past, it holds us captive–dead bones walking. Jesus died to give us life! 2 Timothy 1:7 says “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”.
There are saved and unsaved people around us who can’t get their breakthrough or move forward because they don’t know how to address the issues they carry from the past.
Release it to God. He puts people in our life to help us grow. At a certain point in life, we have to stop blaming others and take responsibility to do something about moving on with life.
The message people never get is that God loves them, in spite of their stuff! Regardless of the past, or anything that they did. God is love! God’s love has no conditions. Our heart goes out to each and every person who is carrying stuff that God did not intend for them to carry!
The speak to the lies message was our way to shake things up and encourage someone to surrender their stuff to God.
God made us all different. So who are we to judge anybody. I love Matthew chapter 25. We forget that God loves. Since we are created in God’s image, who are we to judge anybody. Unfortunately, we all judge to a certain extent–especially when someone is different from us or does things different–but partly because we don’t know any better. Somewhere it became us versus them. People make the world go round. Again, we all bring something to the table.
Sometimes lets agree to disagree. Only a prideful person has something to prove, otherwise let it go! Remember they mocked and talked about Jesus, what makes us think they won’t mock and talk about us. How unfortunate, we can’t love and adapt to each other to get along. Until we can love like 1 Corinthians 13, we are still a work in progress.
Life in and of itself can be tough. Stuff happens but God is and always has been in charge. His will be done. Remember Romans 8:28.
When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, our thoughts and speech change. When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we get a new heart! When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we have the fruit of the spirit and are led by The Holy Spirit.
When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we are rooted and grounded in love to love as Jesus loves–unconditionally regardless because love never fails.
When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, our minds are renewed by the Word of God to speak life into every aspect of our lives and our thoughts lean toward positive and kind ways to help and adapt to others.
When we are led by the Holy Spirit in every area of our lives, we don’t have to tell anyone anything, they will see by our actions and know by our fruit!
God will continue to prune and produce more fruit within us as we work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. When we are emotionally healthy, we become open and light, approachable– so full of love that people are drawn to us. God can make our enemies be at peace with us! Oh to be a child of God!
Let’s talk about love. Free will to choose. God loves us and gives us a choice to choose and love him. Relationships are failing because we put conditions on love. At the end of the day, love is a choice. Single or married, we are blessed if we know God loves us by choice!
God bless to our afriendofjesus2013 friends as we move forward together! Always A Friend
Proverbs 16:7 – When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Matthew 25:42-46 – For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
1 Corinthians 13:3-13 (NKJV) – And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Philippians 2:12 – Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
There is power in prayer! We must keep praying and walking, by faith, through the changes and or challenges to get us to unconditional love. God is with us every step of the way! God will never leave us nor forsake us!
God never gives us more than we can bear! This too shall pass! Let us pray without ceasing! We can continue to meditate and pray Psalm 23 and 1 Corinthians 13! Just know that God remains in charge!
Let us keep praying as God continues pruning and plucking to produce more fruit of the spirit in us–love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith meekness and temperance! God gives us mercy and grace when we stumble!
To love unconditionally, like Jesus, requires knowing the Word of God, being led by The Holy Spirit and lots of the fruit of the spirit!
1 Corinthians 13:3-13 (NKJV) – 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Every day is a opportunity to know the Word of God for ourselves. This helps to renew our minds that eventually changes our thoughts that eventually changes our actions. As children of God, having the fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance) we have opportunities to show Jesus to those around us by the way we respond to challenges–that thing or that someone who likes to bait us with distractions–let the Holy Spirit guide us in what to say or do and God will get the glory.
Sometimes its not about us. God creates opportunities for us to sow a word, a smile, our time, a meal, any act of kindness to those around us–because we don’t always know or understand the why of it; we must be obedient and trust in God. As he blesses us, we are to be blessings to others.
We are the light of the world and they will know us by our fruit. Its about being a witness for Jesus. Praise God and keep speaking the word and moving forward.
Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
Ezekiel 36:26-27 A new heart also willI give you, and a new spirit willI out within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgements, and do them.
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:15- 18 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bring etch forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bring etch forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, breathen, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
We will use this to discuss our thoughts 🙂 We can just keep the comment discussions going and everyone can join in 🙂 We will start with how Jesus changed your life until someone changes the discussion with a new comment
This is the second new thing we are doing today 🙂 We have faith that this will inspire others to participate 🙂
Let’s roll with this 🙂
Jesus changed my life by blessing me with a new life filled with love, acceptance and speaking His Word to any challenge and believing by faith. He helped me to know Him better through His Word and spending time talking with Him. He is my best friend forever (BFF), my defender, my comforter, my rock. 🙂 Thank you Jesus 🙂
